This is by far one of our favorite banquet hall in Chicago. We had our son's christening and it turned out just wonderful. Great staff and great food. The service was outstanding. I just wish we had more events happening to host them there.

A unique place with amazing food, elegantly displayed, great service, super nice staff. The place has a unique banquet menu different from most American style banquet halls which is one of the reasons we chose this place for our daughter's baptism. The room was beautifully decorated with great lighting, it also features a super nice patio. But most of all the staff was amazing. Oleg helped us organize the whole party, he was super patient and accommodating, it was a pleasure working with him. The service throughout the evening was also super nice, Alex the manager/bartender was very friendly and professional. You must try this restaurant it is definitely way different than all the other banquet places. Highly recommend!

The last vestige of the Russian-speaking community of Skokie, which is rapidly ageing or moving north to other suburbs. Management is Ukrainian and very supportive of Ukraine. Please support!

Awesome place .This is my favorite banquet hall for any celebration . Everything here is truly amazing. Delicious and fresh variety of food. Great live Music . The service here is incredible, waiters are kind , quick and always smiling,. The hostess is on top of everything,. It's exciting just being in there, everyone is so happy and lively and having a good time.

This place is amazing! We celebrated my son’s wedding with 200 guests here and we got a very good deal that even included a DJ. The owner accommodated all our requests and the service was outstanding! There was so much food and it was all very well prepared, and it kept coming throughout the party so there was always something new to try. Everyone I spoke to was very impressed with Zhivago. It is a beautiful and welcoming place, highly recommend !

I just had my 50 & Fab bday party! I am thrilled. The staff I had, Maria and the rest of the crew, were friendly, engaged, patient, kind, and helpful. Management is patient and engaging; listen to and customize your needs. We have a food allergy issue, but it was not a problem for the Zhivago crew. The only Ukrainian resturant I really love in the whole Illinois!!!! I came back and back to this place everytime with different friends and family and leave the resturant with the biggest satisfaction with the service and food quality from the resturant! The biggest thank you to a waiter named Uriy because of his quick thinking and reliability of getting us the best service every time we came back!!!!

Great service and very tasty food in the Ukrainian restaurant!!! We celebrated my mom’s birthday here and Zhivago did a wonderful job accommodating everyone . The food was plentiful and delicious and they continued to serve food all throughout the night . The music and atmosphere was very enjoyable and the servers did a great job and were very polite and kind as well . I would definitely recommend.

ZHIVAGO is a cozy place with a beautiful interior . Dishes are beautifully presented . Tried many different meals , ALL delicious . THANKS to the chefs and friendly staff . We held a celebration of our father’s life at Zhivago’s for approximately 150 people. We reserved the space from 3:30-6:30 PM. The lighting was gorgeous! We used two inside rooms and the patio space. We served heavy hors d'oeuvres and had an open bar. The food was delicious, the service exceptional, and the space gorgeous. I highly recommend Zhivago’s for large gatherings!

Good place if you want family event. A LOT of food. You can get music of your choice or get live performers. But fruit tray sucks. Mangos are the worst. And you should bring own cake. Standard selection was inadequate.

Realy beautiful restaurant with unic ornaments. Was delighted by food and european cuisine. Met new year here and had big party and fun atmosphere.

Great Ukrainian music show from the guys and the most wonderful service I ever received from any restaurant in Illinois!!! I recommend this restaurant for any type of event to celebrate. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with this choice at all!!! I can not be more thankful to waiter Iurii that did wonderful work, that was almost part of our company! Thank you!

My issues with this place are that as nice as it was aesthetically. The hot food arrived cold, not in one shot. Only one server out of 4 were attentive in assisting, without having to ask if they could remove dirty dishes or glassware.

Absolute disaster, despite making a reservation 7 months in advance we have been seated in the corner of the room and tables were placed so close together that my guests couldn’t even leave to the bathroom without other guests having to stand up. Servers has to reseat my guests during event. It literally looked like my party was a last minute add on. It was embarrassing. They didn’t do any renovations in a while and are using duck tape to keep carpet together. I heard a lot of good about zhivago, but experience was subpar at best. If you are looking for a premium experience in north suburbs, just go to Petergof or any other place for that matter.

This is one of the best restaurants where I celebrated my birthday with friends. The atmosphere is very kind and cozy. All my guests liked the food. I will return again with this restaurant for new positive impressions

Cool Place! Was at a private party in the back room. Very private and good service. Loved it when we looked into the large main room and saw Vodka flowing and lots of authentic Russian fun!

Love the whole concept of this type of places. They are bringing food constantly to your table, you can bring your own alcohol. They infer a lot od sea food and different appetizers, great place to have a party, private or shared . Live band or dj are available.
