Went to eat here after the Trump rally in Algonquin and it was amazing!

We ordered dinner from China Bistro tonight. Delicious as always. But it reminded me of a nice story about this restaurant I’d like to share. On Christmas Day last year my 9-year-old was not feeling well. I stayed home with her while the rest of family went to visit relatives. Having nothing to eat for lunch we were happy to find China Bistro was open. I mentioned to the nice girl on the phone that my daughter was under the weather, hence the Xmas day order. When the food was delivered we found a bag of cookies thrown in for free with a smiley face and note written on the bag saying ‘Feel Better!’ That was a nice touch. Wonderful folks and great food. Please support them during this difficult time for our local businesses.

Best Chinese in McHenry County! This was New Sunny in crystal lake for the longest time, now they are China Bistro in Huntley. My favorites include their pork fried rice, Mongolian beef, and orange chicken! Forever put go-to for Chinese food

Found Hair in my egg roll. Offered me a $5 credit. The egg roll I had to throw away and gross me out cost $2.50…so basically got a $2.50 credit. When we order from you 1-2x every month you should probably value your customers more.. could have offered a free dish or something that makes it at least look like you actually cared about your customers! It’s not like you messed up the order…it was literally HAIR in your food! That’s absolutely disgusting!! And your credit was insulting! So here’s your one star to show my appreciation right back!

Terible they ask me to give $10 tip over then phone then the driver started saying about the tip that he is tip based driver he needs to put gas etc this is redaculus asking for tip I never experienced such a push of a tip . Will not order again and you just don’t do that. It’s up to me if I tip not you telling me to tip 10 or 15%

I called to place an order for just myself, paid with credit card, when asked to tip he criticized the amount telling me that it was “not a lot”. Excuse me?! Immediately told him to cancel the order and hung up. Just bad business.

Very inconsistent! Sometimes it’s good and then other times it’s very bad. So guess it’s time to find another place to go.

Had gotten take out from here for the first time last night it was just okay way too much sauce. Definitely have had better

We enjoyed sweet and sour pork, cashew chicken, Chinese chicken, beef broccoli, hearty egg rolls and egg drop soup for dinner last night. Everything was tender and fresh. Thank you China Bistro! We went to place a large lunch take-out order around 11:30 am this morning. The door was open but no one answered the bell we rang, called out or the 2 times we called. We could hear someone in the back. We stayed for about 10 minutes. We were disappointed, looking forward to trying the food.

Love this place, favorite and best Chinese food in the entire mchenry county area hands down. Used to be the New Sunny in crystal lake years back, same great food taste with some menu updates all good things! I literally love this food it couldn't be better and I've never had a dish I didn't like. My standard is beef with broccoli, pork fried rice, all chicken dishes are amazing, eggrolls are great crab Rangoon amazing Can't go wrong with any dish!!

Been ordering here since 2003, couple times a month. Food and service is consistently phenomenal and accurate, everytime. Plus orders are ready within 15 minutes each time.

It was okay, average. I was disappointed that the chicken with broccoli didn’t have brown sauce. I had the sesame chicken, Kung pao shrimp and chicken with broccoli.

Orange chicken was so good I couldn't stop eating it. The egg roll was very delicious as well. I would come back for both. The only thing I would improve is service. The waitress was a little slow and didn't refill my water.

Have gotten very expensive. Over $7 for 4 egg rolls. No.

We order from them and they are normally good but this time they messed up our order. I called to let them know and they preceeded to tell me I ordered wrong and then said maybe the girl who took my order misheard me. Then they said they could get me the right item but I had to pay the difference since the item I was suppose to order cost more. So basically I have to pay for their error. No thanks. their food is about the same as 90% of Chinese places.

We LOVE China Bistro. When we moved here, we were really hoping to find a new Chinese place that could comfort us when we need it. And it does. 🥰 Their food is delish, prices and coupons are great and always on time. Even when they're super busy. They have never disappointed and this will be our go-to place. ❤️ Side note : As a mother of 3, they clearly seem to care about the community by hiring and properly training teenagers to work the front desk and help customers. They are always polite, knowledgeable and greet everybody with a smiling face. 😁

Restaurant owners have taken great measures for Covid prevention, including putting up wall to separate dining area and pickup area. Food is always excellent, love the pepper steak chow fun.

Very well kept and accessible place. They serve big portions and for affordable prices. I enjoyed the food a lot and the staff members were super welcoming and informative. I recommend this place.

Perhaps I had a bad day because my son had ordered from this restaurant previously and enjoyed it but I ordered Shrimp Fried rice, Shrimp Egg Foo Young and I'm sorry all the rice and egg foo young was hard and dry and tasted like it had been made yesterday. I did however send a message through Facebook and their manager Kevin quickly responded and said that they had hired a new cook who sadly messed everything up and I will have a credit due and can reorder whenever I want.. nice that they did that and yes I will give them a second chance.

Best egg rolls I’ve had in my life, and amazing shrimp fried rice. That’s all I order from here. The owners and staff are all very nice too.

Orange chicken was amazing, and their fried rice. Woohoo! Found a new spot. They delivered too super fast. Could you ask for more?

Not recommended, very poor service. I made an order over the phone and when I went to spoil it, it was handed over to someone else, I waited another 10 minutes and when I tried to eat it, there were spaghetti that dissolved in the water, they didn't even dissolve. he should have been here lo mein:(((

Used to love this restaurant, but it's been taken over by a group of caucasion kids who don't understand what Chinese food is supposed to taste like. The flavors are muddy, sauces are not on the correct dish (hong sue chicken had a brown sauce on it), veggies are put into dishes that don't normally have them, vegetarian dishes are made with meat stock. They DO have coupons on the new menu for free items, but I had already paid on the internet for our order, so couldn't take advantage of the coupons (which I don't remember seeing on the online order pages).

First time I ordered from them on Sunday. Got a party tray of orange beef for My B-Day, it was delicious. Will order from them again. A+ Thanks!

Excellent Chinese food! Best in the area. We recently catered a small party with trays of food and it worked out fantastic.

The atmosphere is intimate. We felt welcomed and the entire experience was great.

Our favorite place for a Sunday night dinner. They always have our order exactly right and very friendly. All of their food is very delicious.

The food is good, but the customer service isn’t the best. I always get take out so my interaction with the staff is very minimal, but my mom & I did come across someone with an attitude the other day. We ordered the lunch special to-go & asked for silverware. The lady told my mom it was in the bag, but when we got home it wasn’t. Not a huge deal right, so we called the restaurant to give them a heads up so they make sure they check the future orders before sending them out, and the guy told my mom “well you could have checked you know.” No sorry about that, thank you for letting us know. No I apologize next time we’ll double check. The nerve.

Ordered take out. Dining area is not open. Prices are reasonable. Pot stickers didn't taste like pork. Were not able to determine what stuffing was used. Friend rice, orange chicken and cabbage egg rolls were good.

Food is great. One of the best Chinese food restaurants I've ordered from. However they used to have dining in, but since Covid have not gotten back to dining in capability.

Stopped in for carry out, was our first time they were so nice, and kind and for my first visit they gave me a free fried rice for first visit. 10/10! Highly recommend

They told me that they would not deliver my order unless I gave a tip at the point of ordering. That last time I ordered, the driver asked for a tip before delivering my order, so I told him NO.

This for any CL locals is the old Sunnys in the Crystal Lake Plaza. The food here is absolutely amazing and exactly how I remember it from my childhood. I wish they were still in Crystal Lake. If you remember Sunny Yangs.....get in here

Beef fried rice tasted like fish and the sesame chicken was dry and overcooked. This is a hit or miss place

CB is only takeout now so atmosphere is irrelevant. Food is very consistent which is great because our family always orders the same thing. Service is always good too. You will like ordering from here.

Good Chinese food. Pan fried seafood noodles is especially delicious but not so the appetizers. They are very plain. Rest of the dishes are good

UPDATE: Although I had a bad experience the first time I tried to order due to allergy requests, I am so happy we gave China Bistro another try. This restaurant is now our family’s go-to for Chinese take-out. Food is tasty, prices are reasonable, and portions are large. Orders are accurate and delivery is quick. Be sure to use the online coupons to add a complementary item to your order!

I just liked their food. I always get excellent service there. The place is well kept and the employees are always super friendly. Will come visit again.
