I've gone to this Lou's a million times and it's the best. Have since moved to Florida and I monthly get Lou's shipped to me. Pizza in Florida is horrible if you are from Chicago!!

Lou Malnati's Pizzeria is an American Chicago-style pizza restaurant chain headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois. It was founded by the son of Rudy Malnati, who was instrumental in developing the recipe for Chicago-style pizza, and it has become one of the Chicago area's best-known local lines of pizza restaurants. Lou Malnati's operates a division of its company called Lou Malnati's Presents Tastes of Chicago, a partnership with Portillo's Restaurants and Eli's Cheesecake, which ships Chicago-style cuisine nationally.

Our first Chicago style pizza experience and I don’t have enough accolades to describe the piece of heaven. We ordered the Chicago pizza, a family Malnati salad, garlic bread, minestrone soup, chicken Caesar salad, and a few drinks. Will definitely visit on our next trip to Illinois.

Been a Lou's customer forever. I feel like your pizzas somehow starting to lack flavor and not like how it used to be. What is happening?

In Chicago on business, and just wanted to find some good and proper Chicago deep dish pizza. Lou Malnati's doesn't disappoint, it was delicious and filling. They also offer a deep dish style COOKIE with ice cream, and the only regret I had was that I didn't have enough room for the whole thing. Definitely recommend a stop in!

The best pizza in the universe! Really awesome wait staff! You will not be disappointed. Photo on right is Large Deep Dish Chicago Classic. Photo on left is Large Deep Dish The Lou + onion, green peppers, sausage pieces, & extra tomato sauce.

We heard a lot about this place and wanted to try it out with one of their thin crust pizzas. My husband has a hard time with thick crusts, so we appreciate the option of traditional deep dish or thin crust. The pizza looked and smelled great once we opened it at home. We ordered the Lou, but added jalapeños. I expected that they would add a few jalapeños, generally most places do about 2-3 pieces per slice so it isn’t too spicy or overpowering, but we were kind of shocked to see a whole layer of sliced jalapeño under the other toppings. One might appreciate that they don’t skimp on the extra toppings you pay for, but it’s jalapeños guys, you also have to think about the balance in your pizza. So, the first slice was okay. From there on we just tried to pick around and then threw the crust and overload of jalapeños away. Keep this in mind if you are ordering extra toppings- might be great for some things to be loaded on, but it also might ruin your pizza. We may try again, and not add anything extra but I was disappointed with this first experience.

Food was good but the deep cheese pizza was as thick as a normal little Caesars pizza. I even called it out to the waitress. It was pretty thin but it was tasty.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try some Chicago deep pizza, I thought it was really good I couldn't even finish the one slice I had but I also eat some appetizers. This place has been around since 1940 I believe. The staff was wonderful our waiter was great he cut our pizza served it to us and then put the rest into our take box.

Today was the first time we visited for indoor dining after the restrictions were lifted. Everyone was very friendly and greeted us. Our waiter Silver was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He has a positive attitude and was very pleasant. Of course the food was delicious!

Always the best deep dish pizza in the Chicagoland area, The Lou has a perfect blend of ingredients for flavor. The other dishes served, from pizza to pasta to appetizers, are fine, but pale in comparison to their signature Lou pizza (only because those other items can also be found with similar quality at some other restaurants and are not as much of a distinction as The Lou).

First time here, we were seated right away. Staff was friendly and after we ordered we got our food within about 35 minutes which was expected. The food was great! We had a small deep dish (sausage/pepperoni) That was enough to feed two adults and a child. There was sausage and pepperoni in every bite, definitely will go back! 😁

Pizza was okay, but the wait for pick up was insane. Especially now that theyre doing massive construction out front. This place is always packed.

I celebrated my PhD last night in this great restaurant. I am glad to say that it was a tremendous evening and the venue was clearly one of the reasons for the successful evening. The crew contributed in a graceful way, the cooking was very good and my guests were very delighted. We shall absolutely come back again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

I haven't been inside, only called in orders. Even when there's a wait, it's well worth it. I'm diabetic so do the crustless pizza and it's awesome. I have had bites of their regular pizzas and could jolly well eat them everyday if allowed. The ladies who took my order and brought my food out were very friendly and helpful. It's the first and only choice when family and friends get together.

1st time order. We ordered a deep dish pizza and it tasted horrible like all i can test was tomatoes, on top layer tomatoes are not even cooked and watery , so the whole pizza tasted like soggy tomato cake with no other taste. The pizza crust tasted better than of Giordano's.
