security guard was incredibly rude to people; one interaction stuck out in particular. someone was having trouble on the kiosk checking in, and he didn’t understand how to use the machine. this security guard belittled him in front of everyone, yelled at him, and walked away multiple times when he asked for help. when someone in the waiting room tried to help this gentleman, the security guard then yelled at them too. it’s human decency, this shouldn’t even be a concern, but here we are. be a better person, it’s that simple.

The security guard is rude and condescending when asked basic questions. These questions have nothing to do with any SS process. There no need to be this way. As a citizen, tax payer and veteran. I'm quite disappointed he's the type of guy getting paid with our tax dollars. Someone needs to talk to him about basic manners. If the pressure is to much for him he should look elsewhere. Maybe someplace where he's not required to deal with the public.

I’ve seen some not so great reviews so I’d like to share my experience and some tips from my recent visit. I went to this office around 12:15pm on a Friday with no appointment for a name change after getting married and was in and out in about 20 minutes. Before going, I had completed the application for name change online and I had my drivers license and marriage certificate with me. Upon arriving, you will need to check in at the kiosks directly to your right. The kiosks are touch screen and ask a few basic questions about why you are there and if you have an appointment or not. There is a security guard up front, but you don’t need to check in with him - just go to the kiosk, check in, your number will print out, sit down and wait to be called. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about the security guard, but people have to remember that he is just that, a security guard. He is not going to be able to answer your questions and help you out with paperwork. A million times a day he has to repeat himself telling people to check in at the kiosk and that he can’t help you so I imagine that gets frustrating. Just check in at the kiosk and wait to be called back and that person can help you with what you need. If you go in prepared, you will have a good experience!

Appointment required if you forgot what time is your appointment no one will pick up phone , no one will let you in 15 min before your appointment. It's hard to get person on the engine to talk with. Office was absolutely empty not one person was inside but people without appointment can't come. Ones i was in staff member was very friendly and nice.

Security guard very rude. I am disabled and can't sit long so bc I need to stand he made me go in vestibule and it's cold which makes my pain worse. All I need is a form and you can't get online #787. I should not have to wait in line to get a form. There should be an a window to help disabled get in & out faster

So frustrating. They won't let you come into the office and won't answer the phone. It is absolutely impossible to get a simple copy of a child's ss card. My kid has been waiting to drive for a year because the dmv requires an original SS card and we can't seem to get one. Time to open the office back up.

I spoke with a man who was very helpful. But they made a typo in my new married last name on my new social security card now I have to play the wait game on the phone for someone to fix this. So upset! Very careless on whoever processed my applications part!

I spoke to a male representative today, at 4PM and he was very informative regarding my social security benefit account. He provided clear details on how to create a new online account for my retirement benefits. As well as being courteous and patient, he was very helpful.

Staff is very helpful and agressive in solving our problem! Ms Aburas was the first to work with me taking immediate action and explaing the process. All my other dealings were with Mr Lara, who explained things even further and made helpful suggestions for the future. If I had to leave him a voicemail, he always returned my calls, even after their office was closed. What I expected to be a nightmare to fix was not so bad after all. I wish all offices and people were such a pleasure to deal with!

I applied for my sons 2 months ago and I called to see why I haven’t received his card they said I was missing photo ID when they already took a copy of it. Now 2 months later trying to go in there to give them my ID even tho they have a copy I need an appointment now 7 days later trying to make an app they don’t answer the phone. This is the most unprofessional staff/office I have ever delt with all my life kids need medical check ups and other things that can’t be done without SS very sad that a government place can be this bad to people.
