A quiet and nice place in the lap of rural India. Good for a one night stay with friends and family.

This can be a very good tourist attraction and shows a lot of promise, but presently it is in preparatory stage, to be honest. The water body (Jaltungi in local language), dating back to Burdwan Maharaja's times, has been renovated recently and it looks really soothing especially when the lights are on. They also have kind of a light and sound show at evening. The cottages are ok. But the amenities need quick upgradation to be at par with other heritage homestays. What I perceived is that the theme has become a hotpotch between rural and royal Bengal, and if that is the case, it cannot be showcased as 'Rajasthan of Bengal'. The food, however decorated, was mostly bland; and the staffs, however well-mannered, are untrained in several respects. It would have been better if they started the homestay facilities after taking care of these aspects. Anyways, I really hope this turns out into a grand destination with all royal fervour. An added attraction is the Dariyapur Dokra art Village nearby, and the soothing boulevards leading to the destination.

I stayed two nights with family in the well furnished cottages, complete with AC, geyser and cable TV. A nicely refurbished heritage structure in the compound. Great hospitality, sumptuous meals and surrounding places of interest make it an ideal getaway just 140 km from Kolkata. Special thanks to Mr Arijit Karmakar of Travel Monk for arranging our stay.

What a place to spend a nice weekend with family! Almost 140 Km from Kolkata. Superb hospitality, nice ambience, good food, clean & hygienic tent huts. Entire team will accept as a relative not as guests. Nice experience in the evening. As soon the lights lit up, you can experience a dramatic change over and can visualize a lifetime experience. In a walkable distance you will get 'kalo maayer mandir' and Jagannath temple. If you have cab, just visit Dariapur Dokra village (5 km from the Jaltungi), Labandhar art village, Annapurna temple, Bhalki Machan.

Beautiful place to visit in weekends but the resort fair is too much for this place. Must visit in the evening to see the beauty of that place

It's a 4hrs drive from Kolkata. Well maintained and experienced staff. Special attraction is the elaborate lunch thali. Only draw back is frequent power cut

During my one-night stay at Chandni Jaltungi, I had mixed experiences. The cottage rooms were located in close proximity to each other and were well-maintained. I appreciated the cleanliness and the fact that each room had an attached bathroom, which added to the convenience of the stay. However, one aspect that fell short of my expectations was the food. Unfortunately, the quality of the food provided was not up to par. It lacked palatability and did not meet the standards I had hoped for. This was disappointing as good food is an important aspect of any stay experience. Another downside was the slow service. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to handle the number of guests efficiently. This resulted in delays and a lack of attentiveness towards the needs of the guests. It would have been better if the service was more prompt and attentive, as it would have enhanced the overall experience. I feel that there is shortage of kitchen staff. All the staff were well behaved and served us with a smiling face. Despite these shortcomings, I still enjoyed my time at Chandni Jaltungi. The clean and comfortable rooms provided a pleasant environment, and the surrounding natural beauty added to the charm of the place. While the food and service were not up to par, I was able to make the most of my stay by exploring the surroundings and engaging in activities outside the premises. Overall, my experience at Chandni Jaltungi was a mixed one. While the cottage rooms were near and clean with attached baths, the food quality was lacking, and the service was slow. Despite these drawbacks, the natural beauty of the location made up for some of the deficiencies, allowing me to have an enjoyable stay.
