Nameri National Park & Tiger Reserve is one of the best places for trekking. Those who want to experience wilderness from close must visit this place. It harbours a diversity of habitats from grassland, woodland, wetland. The park is a part of Eastern Himalayan Biodiversity Hotspot and supports a wide range of mammalian and bird diversity. Besides these the reptile, amphibian and butterfly diversity is awesome. It is a very good place for exposure visit for college & university students.

Nameri National Park is very scenic especially near Kamreng river. However while going to the actual tourist attraction point, you will encounter very bad roads with stones scraping the bottom of your vehicle. There will be too much dust to handle. But the sufferings is worth it if you reach the destination. Its really a scenic beauty.

Got a river rafting booking done here. The trek was closed since guards were not available to accompany us. Paid Rs 495 for river rafting fees and 2500 to the boatman.

Its a nice experience of spening 2 nights in Nameri Wildlife Sanctuary. Not crowded like Kaziranga. But they allow only rafting and trekking presently. Slowly the management should introduce Jungle Safari (not to the core area), Elephant Safari etc to attract the tourist
