Shanghai salsa Bar in the hatigargh guwahati , was dark and quiet when I entered. There were a couple of guests savoring their drinks. Naturally. I entered the bar at 7.30 PM on a hot Saturday. The attention from the bartender was prompt. Sitting at the counter on a tall stool, I looked through the menu, gazed at the rows upon rows of bottles. It was quite an interesting view. But I had my choice even before I entered. What else, on a hot evening especially when one is tired and setting, a large glass of beer 🍻 The place is suitably pricy. The service I got was good. I understand by night, the place becomes more crowded and a bit noisy. But then, what else is a bar for?

So, i had so idea , it was a restaurant cum bar. I went with the intention of having a lunch, so may be i found it a lil disappointing , but it must be a great choice if you are out only for drinking. The staff is kind but the incense stick smell suffocated me, no doubt they wanted a Mexican vibe all together but the music was so loud . 😭 Atleast i am never going there to have a lunch.. yea may be the ppl who want to drink can go 🌝

Shanghai Salsa is a cowboy inspired bar restaurant in Ambikagirinagar, Guwahati. Step right in and you'll be instantly transported to a cowboy bar right in the heart of Texas! Seriously, the vibe of this place is just unique and unlike anything I have experienced in Guwahati. The decor, the rugged furniture, the posters, the neon lights...the ambience is just spot on. As the name suggests, the restaurant serves a fusion of Asian and Mexican cuisines, while also serving other dishes like pastas, burgers, etc. Only I wish the food was better. I mean it's alright. I ordered the pork burger and korean BBQ fried chicken. While the burger was decent, the chicken was pretty disappointing. Not only was it extremely bland and dry, it also didn't taste fresh. I really hope they work on this issue. Service was pretty good. The staff were polite and respectful. They have a bar which serves a variety of drinks such as wine, cocktails, mocktails, etc. There is live music on weekends. Overall, it's a chill place to hangout with a group. I do hope they improve the quality of the food.

The food is average thought (3/5) the reasonable prices more than make up for it, and the staff is very warm and friendly. Overall this place offers an overall delightful experience for anyone looking to relax and spend some quality time with friends. this place fits the bill nicely. So, if you're in the mood for a chill spot with friendly service, a relaxing ambiance, and prices that won't disappoint, look no further.

Ii am rewriting the review after a long time. Previous one read as "Good food and a great ambience". However, now the place doesn't serve good food anymore. Good ambience and live music will keep you chilled. Food here is not worth the money. Ordered for a Chicken and a pork platter, feedback is quantity i tiny, sauce is salty, meat was stale. Absolutely not worth it.

This place is a very cozy place and feels like home! The food is good enough and the ambiance is quite cozy and comfortable! The prices are decent! The menu is inspired by Mexican and Asian counterparts! Not a very big menu, you have things to eat! But the range of selection is limited! Talking about the bar section, it has everything you would like to drink on a weekend and get wasted! Overall is a cool hangout place for group of friends and talk for hours!

This place is absolutely elegant with a cozy an awesome vibe 😍. I really loved the Live Music 🎶🎶.The place have left me with the best impression so far . The staffs are really friendly and attentive👏👏. The dishes were delicious😋 . It's one of my favourite spot and I recommend everyone to visit this place .It's a great place to hangout and chill .The place is kind off crowded though, especially during evenings and on weekends .

The ambience is good! The place is cozy (not too spacious inside) In the food menu, options are pretty great, but their quantity per plate could be improved considering the price. The noodles tastes good. Heard of the Burgers as well. The appetisers tastes great only if you’re complimenting them with a drink!

Worst experience! I have visited this place once to have some good time with my friends, at around 10pm we have asked to refill our beer tower which they did without any hesitation but after that the guy name Sibu (bouncer may be)came to us and asked us to finish the whole tower within 5 minutes which I don’t think was possible. So we politely asked them “if there was a private party booked in that place they could have let us know that we have to leave by this period of time but instead they have filled the jar and later asked us to finish or chug the drink in a go,the bouncer even touched my guy friend which was not at all required . Just a review I felt like sharing to all of those who are from outside the state and having to plan a good time in ,this place def doesn’t worth a shot!

The ambience and service was quite up to mark and remarkable but didn't liked the food that much. We ordered chicken nachos, chicken sandwich and virgin mojito. We literally had to dig hard to find chicken in chicken nachos and that chicken sandwich was so bland that the filling of the chicken had no taste. It just tasted like bread and cheese. The virgin mojito was not that great. The mint leaves and lemon was so overpowering it just tasted blahh....but not complaining about the service or ambience....It was good.

Lowkey rustic vibes, amazing playlist, fast service and incredible value for money! They keep coming up with new dishes, and we are never bored! They have a new mixologist now whipping up some amazing cocktails! Must visit!

Didn't expect degraded service. Visited 3 years back and it was perfect. Presently their food items do not deserve to be appreciated about in terms of quantity and taste. There is no complementary snacks unless the food ordered arrives. This is quite common nowadays everywhere. All in all, overpriced and overhyped

This place is just hype. Went there one fine weekend to spend some quality time with my wife. Turned out to be a horrible experience. The rooms were full of people and completely sealed for AC, but none of the ACs were working. People were complaining about the heat, the staff and management didn't pay any attention. People got boiled inside. Also, chicken items were stale and food was very disgusting. The place is pure crass. Avoid at all costs.

I'm afraid there is nothing positive to write about this place although it has so much potential based on its location among an upmarket residential area. I'll save them the embarrassment and won't mention the specific details of why it has disappointed me every time (3) I have been there. I would recommend this place only if you're a die hard fan of live music or karaoke within a space as small and cramped as a train compartment. Visited the place this weekend. It was super crowded and under-staffed. There were barely 2-3 people catering to a room full of people. Hence, service was slow. There was some live music playing, so that was nice. Food was good and alcohol is really cheap, compared to a lot of places in Guwahati. However, they really need to work upon their service, since slow service is a massive turn-off. I don't mind waiting for my food, but that should be a reasonable amount of time and not an hour. Overall, you can pay it a visit if and only if you are looking for cheap booze.

Food is quite ok , options are quite limited for snacks. But if you want to dine options are good. The drinks menu is quite reasonable but they have set the food menu in such a way that you have to order at least one dish for two drinks and the quantity of the dishes are quite below what other places are offering. Must say that the atmosphere was very good all the time i have been there and the crowd is quite gentle all the time. Service is responsive but needs to be polished a bit.

Though the name of the cafe gives Chinese vibes but this looks like country cafe inside. We went in odd timing in this cafe . We went around 3:30 pm it was all empty with old English music playing in background . Food is little bit pricey and quantity given is less . This place is good for hangouts with friends and spend a lazy evening drinking . Best time to go is around 7:30 pm where there is live music events . That’s the perfect time . Prices are reasonable. The burgers & pork chops are good compared to the chicken items. Overall the ambience, live music or even the choices of music are good.

Great ambience. Good food. Blue lagoon cocktail is pretty awesome along with one with ginger. I wouldn't advocate for their food, but a nice place to have a few drinks and enjoy live music.
