The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting guwahati. Chiin from In room dining she had the right attitude to serve, But sadly the tray she was carrying seemed a little bit heavy for her, she was so Experienced ,Well Mannered ,Cheerful and Introspective.Would love to come here again very soon.

One of the finest hotels in terms of service. Some rooms and areas have started to show some age though. Employees are helpful and offers good service. Food quality and taste is very good. Good for corporate events considering the large hall without obstructing pillars.

It is a 5 star property with best location. You get complementary breakfast with the stay, for breakfast you need to go to the ground floor. They have very beautiful lobby and beautiful front desk. Staffs are very helpful and gentle. In room you get most of the amenities like television, locker, dryer, kettle with varities of tea and coffee, iron and iron board, pair of carpet slipper, bath tub, refrigerator and (mini bar on demand) and so on. Room is beautiful designed by the interior designer and architect. They have SPA, GYM (FITNESS CENTRE), at first floor and SWIMMING POOL at the ground floor. GYM has maximum equipments and machines. It's TAJ so no need to explain about their service, rooms and staff behaviour. Rooms are very nice and fairly priced. Very friendly staff and of course a nice Breakfast buffet 😀 with live calming music. The staff at the reception Ms. Anamika was very kind and friendly to address the customers. The only issue I found is it's a little far from the Airport.

Probably my worst experience ever in a Taj property. The room smells of wet carpet, AC not functioning properly. Tried reaching out for half an hour ( after a long day wanted to end the day with some in room dining) but no response. Kept trying at the reception but no one answered. After losing patience went to the reception to find 3 ladies standing but no one could pick up the phone. As expected the Operations manager came and cut a sorry figure on their behalf Unfortunately couldn’t find a booking in my regular hotel and this experience has definitely made it my last in this property Absolutely not a 5 star property by any means. Please be ready to order food on online app while staying here.

Giving us rooms took more than one hour.. when our room was booked in advance. Also they provided us the smoking room when we had kids. Kids cannot stay in smoking room. Very poor services. Complete waste of time. I will not suggest this hotel to anyone.

Very nice hotel. The staff are courteous and give prompt service. Rooms are comfortable with all amenities available. Lovely ambience all around. The location, too, is very convenient.

Stayed here with family and friends from 30th Dec22 to 2nd Jan23.After checking in which was done efficiently we went to the restaurant for lunch. Order was placed and after waiting for 2 long hours we came to know that our food order has not been placed and we have to wait for another 1 hr. Imagine our plight with hungry kids who were waiting since 2hrs. And you call it a 5 star restaurant. Breakfast spread was also not up to the mark. Breakfast on 1st morning was hilarious. There was scarcity of food or kitchen staff I don't know ,but most of the containers were empty except for few bakery items. We had to take out cutlery and napkins ourselves. For a simple dosa I had to wait for more then an hour. Restaurant staff were rude and clueless. Housekeeping cleaned the room so efficiently that they took away all the towels leaving only one and when we asked they said they don't have towels imagine.... Only good thing was the 31st night banquet. Worst stay ever especially the restaurant staff and their service. Never will recommend to anyone.

We went for lunch.I will give zero ratings for the service.The waiters didn't care won't respond properly.It took them more than 1 hour to bring the food.We just kept on waiting.After we were done the waiters didn't have the courtesy to remove the plates again we had to request them to take away the plates.Even we had to request so many times for the bill.Every time we needed something we had to wait till someone comes.No response at all. Worst hotel ,worst service.Never visiting again.Don't deserve to be rated 5 star.Please save your time and don't visit this hotel.There are better 5 star hotels in Guwahati

I have stayed in a few five star hotels due to work commitments and this one is hands down one of my favourites. The reception staff were prompt and courteous and they upgraded my room. The size of the room was great and the breakfast was equally good.

Went there to attend a wedding! The decorations was gud and so was the food. Live counters of pasta and phuchka and soft drinks along with other snacks in the starters. It was pure veg wedding so the main course had varieties of veg items along with a wide range of desserts at the end. 😋

Very bad experience with in room dining. It takes more than an hour to deliver the food and food quality is very poor. After end number of feedback the stuff is not taking care of the same. I had to catch flight and my food was not ready, I had to leave without eating anything, After end number of reminders staff couldn’t prepare food on time. You should look into this matter.

Have attended couple of event there and I love the Mutton Gosh. During events with large number of attendees, they don't seem to be managing well with refilling food and being ready to serve to food.

Great hotel and great service! We stayed here for my husband’s birthday and the hotel did a fantastic job at decorating our room and making it special for us.

The food served at the restaurant is not up to mark…..quality of specially the non veg items are not good at all which has very much disappointed me…The staffs at restaurant just loiters around paying no attention to the guests… The tables are too congested for 2 separate families to have a comforting meal…

Vivanta Guwahati lives up to the name and legacy of the hotel chain. The hotel is located in a prime location. It is extremely well maintained. The rooms are neat and tidy. The staff is well trained, friendly and professional. Although the restaurant could use some work, it is still one of the better ones. Overall the property is worthy to be called a 5 star hotel.

Went for a dinner date... The quality of the food is very poor and the service is slow beyond imagination. We go to such places to have an exquisite experience but this will disappoint you to the core. The ala carte menu is so small that you don't even have a variety of choice for you to order. This review is about the Seven restaurant only.

I booked a City View Room but since it was my birthday they upgraded it to the pool view … The staff is really very humble & polite. I honestly like going to Taj for all my special occasions 👍 The breakfast was awesome & the stay was quite comfortable. They also made a surprise cake for me & decorated the room with flowers 🌺 which was totally amazing. I would recommend everyone to try out their service ❤️ Totally satisfied & happy 😊

Amazing place to be in.when we arrived the parking space was huge..we were greeted with a warm welcome..our rooms was spacious and the bathrooms were great.. my children loved the bath tubs..food was average but on the expensive side..Icecream was exorbitantly expensive..the staff were courteous and helpful.. we had an amazing breakfast.. overall an amazing stay at Vivanta taj Guwahati..

Vivanta Guwahati has all that makes a great 5 star hotel. The staff are very professional and go out of the way to make your stay comfortable. Being located at Khanapara has a good advantage that it remains connected to the city and yet it is away from the city. It's easy to commute to the airport or to the city from this location. The food and service are of very high standards.

The experience and the service was really excellent. The staff are really nice nice and polite. They make feel like home, the human touch is there and please always keep it up. So, I stayed for two days on 16th December I checked out of the hotel. I missed my orange colour sweatshirt and packet of tea leaves in my room . I left .then after two days I called the reception and cross checked that they have found anything or not they said they found my belongings and they'll keep my stuff safe when I'll come to guwahati they'll handover it to me the lady of the front desk assured me this . Today in 29 January I called again to check that my belongings are safe with them around 3o' clock I called them for five times and everytime they would say "Ma'am I'll call you back in five minutes I'll just cross check with my housekeeping team " And then this frontdesk staff doesn't call back 😠now they are saying they don't have anything and they didn't found anything on 16 December . I would like to say how irresponsible their staff is . They don't know how to take care of anyone's belongings they took the responsibility and they lost my stuff I hat this hotel staff .

I went for a family dinner. Had a great buffet dinner. The food was not bad nor good, as expected high quality food and taste as the buffet cost around Rs. 1700 per person.

Ambience of the Hotel is good. Obviously the rates are high due to the 5star tag, but I didn't feel the 5 star type of vibes which we get in other hotels with same rating in some other places. The food quality was just like some good restaurant but not like that of a 5 star Hotel.

The trained staff needed. My kids were playing in the lobby and a gentle lady (the hotel staff) came and asked to keep the children sit quite. No issue on that but a three year baby cannot seat quite nor does it looks good that we make a three year baby sit quite unless he is really disturbing the surrounding guest.

The hotel is spectacular with high standards of cleanliness. The rooms are very comfortable, spontaneous service and the food is delicious to the extent you have to come back! All department staff are really helpful and extremely hospitable. Chef Biswajit made our stay truly memorable. The person from restaurant ( Debraj, not sure) was very friendly. Thank you so much for such an warm stay. Looking forward to visit again.

A very average property compared to other Taj properties. There are a lot of mosquitoes inside the lobby. Rooms are a bit old but spacious and good enough. The views from the property are not great with small buildings. The restaurant staff appeared a bit confused with small requests. Everything takes time. The quality of breakfast is good 👍.

I stayed with my family in month of April. The stay was ok but breakfast was pathetic. Never ever book it. There were no chairs , the tables were dirty, no spoons, paranthas took 30 min to come with thickness in inches, could not find anything worth eating..when u ask for room service, they take ages to come...will prefer some other next time

1. We were a group of 8. After a long tiring journey, we wanted to settle into the rooms but, it took 15/20 mins per couple to register n get our rooms. 2. The rooms were ok but the bathrooms have been designed by an absolute novice who had no sense of placement of shower levers. And, who in their right minds designs a tub with a broad, about 6 to 8", ledge? One of our group got a hairline fracture climbing out of it. Luckily, for the hotel, this is India and our friend did not sue the hotel. Why can't any architect or designer think that older or handicapped people exist in the world and will be showering. 3. How on earth can Taj lend it's name to this place? I can list at 10 more flaws ... It washes out anything good.

Excellent food and great choice of menu and above all exceptional services. We had great fun and my regards to all of team members at Seven. Mr. Surjit goes out of the way to make sure every guest is attended with full attention and very warm. The waiters are very cordial and well trained. The location is right on the GS road. The staff is professional, the rooms are decent and the facilities are amazing. However, the service is very slow (both at the restaurant, in room dining or the desk) as if the staff is not interested in doing their tasks with enthusiasm.

The rooms are cozy & spacious with nice hill view. Neat rooms with good AC settings. Buffet food is okay but nothing exceptional. Can add some more local food items (they do have a live counter for freshly prepared pitha/poita bhaat during breakfast which is good). Staff members are not as cordial as one would expect for a 5 star hotel. 50/50 I would say. Some are really polite while rest are somewhat lost in their own world! Need to improvise on customer care & hospitality.

Each and every time I try the buffet spread in this hotel, usually in conferences and seminars over the years, my experience gets worse. Why can't they provide food with reasonably good taste and texture is beyond my understanding. Even unstarred hotels in Guwahati, like the Lily or Shoolin Grand, offer much better buffet food, costing less than half of what Vivanta charges.

Outstanding Customer service and care. Visited Guwahati during December 2022. Spacious, hygienic and comfortable rooms. Fine dining experience witha chef (Biswajit Mistri) adding his personal touch the dishes. He was reaching out to almost all the guests. He did serve few authentic Asamese dishes. Nice ambiance. Reception desk is managed by very polite and customer centric staff (Chandramma). Overall courteous staff. Wonderful experience

We went to stay there from 30 dec to 2 jan. Hear me out, IT WAS THE WORST. When we reached the hotel, we went ahead to the restaurant, and placed our order. After 2 hours of waiting for the order, they informed us that our order was 'misplaced' and that we required to wait for another 30 minutes to receive our order. After that, we needed to get out and go outside to eat lunch. On 1st January, we went to the restaurant for breakfast, and there was SCARCITY OF FOOD. We were told that they can't make items for breakfast such as puri, dosa etc. Only the bakery section, that too in a limited amount was available. Late at night, we decided to get few appetizers. It literally took them one hour to deliver 3 simple items. The soup was horrible. It literally felt like salt on hot water. Rest of the staff expect the restaurant were quite fine. We had already visited the place 3 times before, but ever since vivanta left the taj community, the service is at its doom.

It was an amazing experience this time specially in-room dining Mr. Chesong took the order so nicely and he made sure to serve me the delicious food. Being a vegetarian it is difficult to get options but he was very helpful also Mr. Kamal came with the food very well behaviour.

Our experience was horrible to be honest. The food particularly was horrendous. It was bland, tasteless, served cold. The staff surely needs some basic etiquette classes. The buffet that you charge a whopping Rs. 1700 consists of 1, just one Chicken item. Rest is salads, and veggies. The fish that you prepared was something every assamese household prepares on a daily basis that too much better than yours. It was one of the worst cooked meal. Besides you are serving aloo matar, potol (pointed gourd) in your buffet main course. There’s no harm serving that but serve it well cooked. Make a dish out of it not just fried and served. There was literally nothing to eat in your buffet. Why are you charging that much for these??? Please look around other restaurants serving buffet at much better rates and way too tastier and with courteous staff. Your brand won’t sell such below average food and hospitality for long. While we were dining, we also witnessed other two scuffles complaining about the food itself. I am guilty to take my family to a place where we couldn’t even enjoy our dinner. Also to mention, wasting that hard earned money. Please look into it if you really want to work on it.

Location is just 500m off the highway and 600m from Khanapara. The property is fine. The Swimming pool floor was not visible through the water, hence gave it a pass. The gym was average. Food assortment is good but matches 4star hotel. The cups werent washed properly and the bathtub was not clean. The room was well furnished and toiletries were kept in enough amount to have a bubble bath. The reception and check in was smooth. The front desk was helpful. The room servicing needs improvement in respect of hygiene. Some of the room lights were unserviceable.

Great stay in the heart of the city Very attentive staff, great breakfast, comfortable facilities, great spa. The hotel driver I hired for an appointment in the city went above and beyond, navigating through and around flooded streets and walking me right to the office I needed to reach. Other hotel staff were also so helpful and friendly. The spa staff were very professional and did a great job!

Every vibe of Guwahati this Hotel generates. Staff is great,food is Yumm and loads of clubs nearby to move out as only thing that could sometime be really pissing is services and speed with which it is done. Located at an amazing place.

Everything about this property is awesome....even the staffs are so courteous....they are always smiling and ready to help you out.. I just didn't like one of their menu...that is panipuri..... except this every dish was delicious...worth spending money Even the swimming pool was clean and they clearly mention the amount of chlorine used and even the temperature of water..so if u are planning to get inside the pool with your baby u don't have to think twice.... I was with my 10 months baby in the pool...and she enjoyed there.
