I didn't have a long time, but it was an amazing experience with Discover Northeast in Guwahati. I got to see the beautiful Kamakhya Temple on a Sunday, fill to the brim with devotees from all around the country. We then visited a local market, run by women from rural villages where you could purchase organize vegetables and all other local produce. That was the highlight of my day! Then we went to a handloom factory and ended up the day with a traditional Assamese dinner. Highly recommend Discover Northwest if you are exploring one of India's lesser-known regions with magnificent natural vistas and to couple it with a few culturally immersive experiences. #natnzin

It was an amazing journey from plains of Assam to peaks of Himalayas. It is rightly said that a trip is as good as the roads are. I have done two trips with Discover Northeast and both of them have been outstanding so far. My first tryst with Discover Northeast was in Manas Spring Festival. I camped with them during the festival and it was a very nice experience. Everything was so perfect with a vibrant atmosphere. They make you feel at home. My next trip was to an offbeat yet scary trek in Meghalaya. It was a day trip to Mawryngkhang trek in Wahkhen. Kudos to the team to have found out the place and the whole process of ensuring people trek safely. The organisation believes in responsible and offbeat travel. Its always being a part of the big travel family with Discover Northeast. They are the best for offbeat travels and I definitely, definitely recommend. I camped with these guys in three of the major festivals last year- NH7 Weekender, ZFM and Orange Festival. The only reason that makes me go back to their camp is the friendly environment they are able to create. I also did the Meghalaya Adventure Tour and the Dzukou Valley Trek. This group does everything great to make your adventure enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend them. Your travel throughout the region to reach your point of taking off as well as your return are coordinated and orchestrated to the best.

Team Discover Northeast has the most genuine and helpful people I've met during the two months I spent travelling around the northeast. I stayed at the campsite they organised for Ziro Festival of Music last year and they helped me immensely in planning my two-month-long road trip there. They are absolutely amazing, so much so that I ended up staying with them again for NH7 Weekender and ZFM again this year. I would definitely recommend travelling and staying with them.

Exploring offbeat places has its own challenges. I am glad to have contacted Discover Northeast for my travel to the eastern most part of India. Starting from the response to my initial enquiry till the very end of the trip, everything was taken care of very well. Travelling in that terrain is really challenging and the vehicles are prone to breakdown.
