Great local experience. This location is always recommended to taste real Guyana’s food. We had the chance of trying a full coconut based meal and the result was outstanding. The fish and chicken dishes were great and the local dessert treat was magnificent. I recommended reserving in advance to confirm availability, and also to get the precise location of the place.

What an amazing culinary experience. By far the best I've ever had. Everything was prepared and cooked to perfection. Our host, Delven and the servers were most gracious and hospitable. Street food with a 5 star experience is the only way I can describe it. Thanks for such an amazing experience.

It's hard to overstate the quality of the food, service and ambiance at the Backyard Cafe. It is distinctively Guyanese. Chef Delvin and team have created a unique experience for their customers. Every aspect of the Backyard Cafe tells a story about Guyanese culture. From the signboards to artifacts native to Guyana, the fruit trees and the farm-to-table ingredients used to create each specially prepared meal.

Chef Delvin is a phenomenal master of the culinary arts. His oil down was exceptional and he provided an individualized experience and history lesson as we ate our courses. We will definitely be back!

The backyard cafe is an absolute gem! The attention to detail and the fine culinary experience one savors is up to par with any Michelin institution! The flavors are exquisite, cocktails on point and friendly attention are a superb concotion for your taste buds. Indulge in the finest cuisine in Georgetown if you call yourself a lover of fine food!

Messaged and called for a few days and got no response. Finally called and someone answered. When I mentioned we did not get a response, the person who answered said, "oh we're very busy with messages and calls we don't have time to reply to things." Was completely appalled by this customer service and lack of respect.

Wonderful dining experience during my last visit to the Backyard Cafe for dinner. My fish was excellent! Vegetables were fresh and the wine was exquisite. The jazz music playing in the background was the 'icing on the cake' for my dinner date. Definitely will visit again when I return to Guyana. I have recommended the establishment to many friends and acquaintances. Brilliant!
