Lovely
hotel
with
the
familiarities
of
home
in
Guyana.
The
exterior
is
aged
but
attractive,
but
the
interior
is
beautiful
and
well
appointed.
Rooms
are
large
and
comfortable
with
all
of
the
trappings
of
a
standard
Marriott
including
the
great
beds.
The
elite
recognition
at
check
in
included
a
delicious
local
rum
which
was
not
to
be
missed.
The
pool
and
facilities
are
well
maintained,
and
the
on
site
taxi
pool
is
a
bit
expensive
but
extremely
safe
and
convenient.
The
food
in
both
the
lobby
bar
and
executive
lounge
is
fresh
and
delicious.
The
executive
lounge
with
complimentary
breakfast,
afternoon
snacks,
drinks,
and
a
lovely
waterfront
balcony
is
not
to
be
missed
for
Marriott
elites.
Service
in
the
lounge
was
phenomenal
including
great
customer
service
from
the
team
including
Daniella.
Service
is
never
rushed,
but
it
is
occasionally
hard
to
get
a
check
due
possibly
to
the
relaxed
nature
of
the
Caribbean.
Despite
that
the
staff
was
conversational,
helpful,
and
great
to
deal
with.
We
will
hopefully
be
back!
