Very interesting museum. It's a combination of history, natural/botanical and engineering museum.

Very informative and realistic. Animals were embalmed for a more realistic view. Each was labeled and described with short bio. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place to take first time visitors to see. The environment is good one and you can take time to go through thoroughly. One thing I would like to see added is to have the building air conditioned and as it is normally very hot. The addition of a few LEDs would add more to the ambiance.

*update: my reply to owner's reply. Dear staff. I believe there is a misunderstanding between us. I apologize in advance if there is error on my behalf. The rule was to make sure I was in each photo if I was taking a photo of an exhibit, which I have. Only signs on the walls need not be with a person, hence I'm not in them. Perhaps the word "broke" and "rule" in my review was misinterpreted. I did not break your rule, I broke my own record of taking so many selfies in order to abide by your rule. This was the intention at least. If I have been mistaken somehow, I duly apologize. Interesting Rule you can't take a photo of stuff thst are not signs unless it is a selfie or you are in it. So here I broke a record of taking selfies of myself so I could capture all the animals I've never seen or knew about in my life in taxidermy firm. It's free to enter and a good way to spend half an hour to an hour the giant animal is really mind blowing!

The giant sloth is amazing. Otherwise, the exhibits do not have much content. They also have a weird rule that every picture must contain a person in it for copyright reasons. It doesn't really make any sense.

Great location to stop and learn more about Guyana. I was fascinated by the miniature models, vintage camera , and printing press .

Like the taxidermy specimens of native animals. The museum would benefit from some upgrading. Free entry

Mildly interesting. Typical underfunded third-world-stateowned venue. Dated exhibits of stuffed animals and a hodgepodge of colonial paraphernalia. Most interesting and nowhere else to be found in this density and depth: the territorial disputes with Venezuela and involved mapmaking history

We were in the area and saw that the museum was open and decided to visit. This museum has many things to look at. We were surprised when we saw the sloth. WOW. Impressive. Nice time here.

Free! Must go here to learn about the history of Guyana. This was a wonderful experience to escape the heat from the streets and take about 40 minutes to understand the land. The staff is very helpful.

It's okay. I give it three stars because they can do much better with the exhibits. They do have a few nice and interesting exhibits though. Needs more.

The Guyana National Museum is a great place to learn about the history of Guyana. The museum has a great collection of artifacts from all over Guyana and it's easy to learn about the history of the country. The museum is well-organized and the exhibits are interesting, making it a great place to spend a few hours.
