Best cocktail bar in the area. I saw this place on a Netflix show called ‘Midnight Asia’ Korea episode so i visited the place when i went to Korea last week. It’s located inside Yeongdong market street in Nonhyeon-dong. They have really delicious cocktails including non-alcohol cocktails and also they give you sweet potato chips for free when you order cocktails. I tried non-alcohol Umami sour cocktail and it was one of the best cocktail i’ve ever tried. It has pineapple taste but not cheap taste. My friends ordered Ginseng elixir, Hyojae and sesame oil cocktail. It was all so unique and delicious especially Hyojae was so delicious. I really recommend if you have to try one cocktail there. The bar is a little bit small but it’s still nice to visit. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Such a good find in the heart of Seoul! Wish I got to try all the drinks, but definitely get the one with Sesame and Ginseng! So good :)

Lovely bar and I had a wonderful experience. I visited alone and sat by the bar and the bartender was very friendly and helpful with drink recommendations and even gave me some advice for my travels. Great atmosphere and the drinks are amazing. I learned about traditional Korean ingredients and how they contribute as a great component to sophisticated cocktails. Definitely worth a visit!

A very special bar provide very special delicious drinks and snacks. Much healthier than other bars in the world. And for me, the taste of drinks are top in the world too. People are super friendly. Some of them can speak good English. They will introduce the drinks for you to choose. Because of the drinks are so delicious, beware if you drink too much got drunk. I tried signature drinks, doesn’t taste any alcohol, and very unique taste and smell. If I have chance I will be back again. 👍🏽

Fantastic bar with great cocktails and mocktails. Loved that the concept centers around incorporating traditional Korean ingredients and herbs into their creations. The service was very friendly and attentive. Definitely to put on your to do list if you are in the area!

I saw this bar from a show called “midnight Asia”. They collaborated with the local market and used local ingredients for their cocktails. The staff were friendly and the place was nice and chill. Recommend if you want to chill when visiting Gangnam!

Absolutely loved the experience at this place. Had a special version of spicy margarita and was just perfect. But what amazed me the most was the service. Great welcoming staff with a very good eye for detail 🫶🏽

As someone who used to live in New York, I’ve tried a lot of cocktails. This place is has really unique cocktails incorporating local ingredients that trend on the more savory side. The service here is phenomenal. They’re very detailed oriented and try really hard to answer questions. They also asked for allergens which was helpful as we had folks in our party who are allergic to nuts. We originally were only going to stay for one drinks but ended up being here much longer.

This bar is located in a traditional market from which also many of the ingredients are sourced. The cocktails were all special and distinct but also well-balanced. They are themed after traditional Korean ingredients and dishes. We had a lovely time choosing from the variety of the menu. The food was also really good!

Bar is great. Bartenders are knowledgeable, attentive, and tailor drinks to your tastes upon request. Great atmosphere too as it was a great time.

I wish I knew this bar earlier. This is my fourth trip in two years but only discover Bar Jangsaeng on this trip. When you’re here, you MUST try one of the cocktails from the Joseon Selection. Definitely a conversation starter when you recollect your Korea trip :)

Hands down a must visit cocktail place in Seoul! Each and every cocktail has a delicious yet unique flavor based on korean traditional cuisine - you can’t find this anywhere else. The bartenders are super friendly too.
