It's a wonderful place to visit with friends or family. Best to visit in the warm weather and when events are on. Best to buy tickets online. In peak times expect queues at the entrance, but in takes few minutes to get in. You can come with your car and use the paid parking situated a few minutes walk away. Or with the train.. get off at Hampton Court station or bus Hampton Court Gardens (stop B or A). The palace is one of the most famous and beautiful in London. It's right to River Thames. The garden is big even if a big part is off limits to public. The flower gardens are nice. When events are on you can spend the whole day here. Close to the palace you can find restaurants, coffee and tea shops, ice-cream stands and take aways. Close to the palace is Bushy Park.

We visited last week of the summer academic term on a week day, there was no queue for any part of the palace. We did book our tickets in advance but it wasn't busy. We did park a short distance away in the Hampton Court Green Car park which had plenty of space and Coach parking. The staff were nice and approachable. We enjoyed using audio guides to hear information about each room within the palace. The history was magnificent and well presented. There are plenty of toilets on site, and places to stop and sit down if you need a rest. They do have a cafe and restaurant along side a stand in the garden for ice-cream. The gardens are well looked after and there is something to look at on the grounds in every direction you go. Great day out!

Excellent day out despite the good British weather! Not as quiet as I was expecting thanks to a couple of year 8 school trips with rowdy teenagers (poor teachers!) but I let them all get ahead so I had the place to myself in parts, was handy to remain in listening distance at times to hear the history teacher explain certain parts too! Gardens were stunning and well maintained, the Palace itself is steeped in history, my only disappointment was that the Chapel was closed and not put on the website in advance - good excuse to go back though right?

Very extensive and lots to see, but quite thin on giving the history, found it more to just artefacts. Gardens were very impressive and the maze good fun. It is an expensive day out; £29pp and car park is £1.60p/h.

If you're a fan of the Tudors then this is the place to visit. There is so much history in this place. I spent three hours here and was only able to see about half of the palace before closing. I used a London Pass and there were no queues. I visited during the off-peak season in September. Overall a very enjoyable visit.

Lots of places to explore within the Palace and around the grounds. Staff are great and know their stuff! I recommend asking questions as they bring the history to life. We spent the whole day there after arriving at 11am and still missed a section of the Palace and some of the grounds. We visited on a showery day but it didn't ruin the day as we were able to head inside for the rain. Limited parking on site payable by card (£1.60 per hour as of July 2021). The cafe had hot food options, sandwiches and cakes. It was expensive but nice food. Would be nice to take a picnic blanket and food on a sunny day. Will be visiting again.

Lots to see, and it takes a couple of hours to walk around if you’re listening to the audio-guide. I spent four hours. It’s cool being in such a historic place, walking where kings and their households walked. One complaint is that signage could be much better: there are some directional signs, but when nearing the particular room, there should be a sign on or beside the door (café, two chocolate kitchen rooms, Orangery, etc.). Fun to learn about the movies made here. Lots of helpful staff around. The Privy Café offered pleasant service. At 12:50 on a Friday, there was one remaining boxed sandwich (vegan, which is what I wanted), and the soup of the day was vegan (parsnip), which was very good and served with a hunk of bread. There are jacket potatoes, chili and desserts. All on the expensive side. I imagine the grounds are fantastic when things are blooming. (I was there on a cold January day, the advantage being no big crowds, but some school groups.)

Totally loved this place. Everything about it was amazing. To think that Henry the 8th walked the same corridors that I was walking. It must have been amazing in its day. They have done an amazing job preserving such an important piece of medieval history. I recommend it highly. There is also a cafe and gift shop. Plus you can get an audio tour.

Loved it so much! We spent a day there with a friend, it was super sunny so we enjoyed a lunch outside in the gardens (nothing fancy but the atmosphere is cute) then the palace itself is beautiful and mind-blowing. You can even wear those robes / capes to dress up when you’re walking around. Not too sure if it’s all the time happening but King Henry was having a stroll outside and few others. The gardens are stunning, there’s a maze as well where you can get lost. I also had my first English afternoon tea and loved it.

We visited for the tulip festival which is the biggest in England apparently! The palace itself is very fun and interactive and it’s a good way to learn about the history of the Tudors and Henry the Eights wives! Lots of entry and exit point so you want exit the palace into the gardens which are amazing! So symmetrical and well kept and birds view from the palace windows! Has to be one of my favourite palaces! It’s really big so I recommend at least 5-6 hours if you enjoy history and gardens.

A January visit may seem like an odd time to visit a drafty old castle, but they do a 50% off tickets at this time of year and less people! In the summer it's so busy you barely have space and time to see all the rooms, while we were able to meander, listen to the free audio guide and enjoy every aspect of the indoors. Really appreciated that the audio had a "family" tour that was more engaging for the 7 year old, but an older more expert one for adults. Multiple languages were also available. Of course, the rooms themselves are very bare - you'll get a lot of the history, but you don't get a real feel for what it would have looked like at different times through it's history, the effects rely a lot on videos cast onto blank walls. Still, it makes for a fairly stress free visit with children, as they can easily walk around without too much fear of touching or tripping over priceless artifacts. The fact that under 5s are free is appreciated as there's nothing much here for them other than run from room to room. Its worth leaving the buggy in the buggy park and walking to the tudor apartments if your child can walk. The family room has some toys if you want to entertain smaller ones, but its pretty drab and depressing in comparison with the rest of the castle. The downside to a winter visit is that you don't get the full impact of the incredible gardens which are usually in full bloom during the summer and great for a picnic. The children's play area is also closed. All in all, absolutely fantastic for any fans of English History.

My boyfriend has the royal pass so the guards let us in but it isn't open to the public (I didn't understand the reason). It was nice to see how the court kept its value and beauty over the years! There is a very beautiful garden, a fountain that fortunately wasn't working but I bet when they will open it will work and will attract many tourists! What I liked the most was the garden, even though it was raining the gardens didn't lose their beauty and birds and ducks were there too making the layout so pretty! There's a big river view too which I love and I adore the trees shapes of the garden, so accurate! If it wasn't raining I would have seen many more things but unfortunately the rain began stronger so me and my boyfriend decided to go to the ice rink at the court which was a wonderful experience too!

Hampton Court was a fantastic castle / palace to explore. Such beautiful old architecture. We took our kids and we all enjoyed seeing the different rooms and learning some of the history and how Hampton Court functioned from the guided tour devices and the information boards placed around the palace. My favourite rooms were the Drawing Room with cards tables and some games with instructions, and also the kitchens with their massive, wide meat roasting fireplaces and multiple food preparation sections. The gardens and parkland are also beautiful to see.

Hampton court palace is a great place to get a look into the lives of the monarch. This features both Tudor, and Baroque style rooms which is cool to see in the same place. The gardens outside are also a must see. The great vine attraction is as not too exciting since it is wintertime and it is just a branch, but still a cool thing to see a Guinness world record vine. The maze is also fun if you have the time! The free audio guide is very informative so I would get it to hear what to look out for, it also suggests a good route as you go through.

Such a fabulous place to visit! There is so much to see and do. It is such a historic place and the educational information, including films, exhibits and labels are really engaging and of interest to visitors of all ages. I loved the gardens and the sheer magnificence of the Palace. Lots of places to eat (hot food not great) and toilets, as well as places to rest. Highly enjoyable day out.

Finally went after wanting to for years but never getting around to it. Absolutely brilliant. A fascinating and wonderful place, full of history. It's worth selecting the option for a free audio guide when you book your ticket. Staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Don't forget to see the 'real tennis' court. I would suggest a visit of about 4 hours.

A great historical palace right by the Riverside. A really great place to bring young kids. They also have a interesting free audio guide included with the price of the admission ticket. The gardens are also lovely to explore and you're allowed to bring your own picnics. Overall a great day out for the family, but a bit on the costly side.

I found Hampton Court Palace very interesting, fascinating and educational. There were some beautiful rooms full of history with plenty of information so you can understand what the rooms were for, there is also headphones for audio descriptions as you walk around. The staff are all around and well versed with any information that you may need. There is so much to see and a lot of walking so mobility issues may be a problem, but there are scooters and wheelchairs to use if needed. The gardens were beautiful and well kept with plenty of water features.

A fascinating place with plenty of history. I liked the way we were able just to wander from one place to the next... no fixed route. It's a whole day visit so leave yourself plenty of time to explore.

Another spectacular British Palace bursting with history. Incredible architecture and acres of surrounding landscape with secret gardens, open lawns and a great play zone for the kids. A great day out for the whole family. I recommend you take the time to talk with all the on site staff historians during your journey through the Palace. Their depth of knowledge, passion and enthusiasm is quite amazing.

We spent the day there today, the place is charming, and you can easily spend the whole day with kids. Beside the palace there is a very big garden where we walk and ride the carting for a very reasonable price, then there is the maze which unfortunately was closed but the garden around it is nice and there is the kids hidden garden where kids spends hours playing. We had a food in the cafe as well and they had a many options for eat and drink. The staff themselves were amazing very nice and very helpful, they helped us to reach the first floor as one of our party is a wheelchair user and they were so kind buy taking us to the left and explaining the rooms to us. Strongly recommend a visit

(Translated by Google) The palace is very beautiful, both inside and out, but what is most striking are its gardens. If you are lucky and you see them when everything has blossomed, it is a spectacle of scents and colors. They also have a labyrinth, which is interesting to walk through.

This was my first visit to Hampton Court Palace and it was amazing. Stunningly Ng grounds and gardens. Beautiful plants everywhere. We stumbled across children's play area called Magic gardens with slides, water play, and many many more things to do for children. Buggy park, caffee, plenty places to sit. We also visited Maze where we got lost :) Palace was amazing and so many things to see. I will be coming back for sure

Big, impressive but sadly mostly empty rooms. Left me feeling cold. I prefer the gardens, but as luck would have it I always seem to come in Winter! Easy to park and not busy at the moment due to Covid (I guess) which does allow for some great photos opportunities without people in them. Must come back in Summer!

Beautiful building and architecture. Went with a group of over 55s. Had a lovely experience walking through the Palace and amazing gardens. Would recommend getting a guided tour. We went around alone and didn't know where to go. Not enough staff at hand to ask for directions so unfortunately, didn't get too see everything. Overall enjoyed our time there. Definitely worth a visit.

This iconic palace is a perfect place to combine a relaxed day out with a love of history, and brings alive the stories many of us are bought up on about the famous Tudors (biggest of them all - literally and figuratively - being Henry VIII and his suffering six wives). But of course the Stuart and Hanoverians also made this fabulous palace complex their home so there is lots to see by way of paintings, portraits and period rooms and furnishings. There are lovely capacious gardens to stroll about in. On approach from the local railway station the palace situated on the other side of the Thames looks majestic, more so on a sunny day.

Always wanted to come here and eventually made it. Cost of entry with a donation is just over £28. Quite a lot but in the end I thought it was worth it. Get the audio tour to guide you around, it’s free. Amazing building, architecture, full of fascinating history and beautiful gardens to finish up in and maybe have a picnic as well. My Tudor history wasn’t brilliant and this helped bring me up to speed. Well worth the visit.

What an incredible place. I have wanted to visit here since I was 10 years old and now nearly 50 years later I finally got my wish. I wasn't disappointed. It is history in every brick, every step. Simply took my breath away. The palace is beyond beautiful and the gardens and grounds are spellbinding. Staff are on hand throughout the palace to answer any questions. Just go and soak up the history of this wonderful place. Walk in the steps of Kings and Queens.

Lovely day out, huge amount to look at, the maze was smaller than I thought but still challenging. The magical garden is superb for the kids, glad we went there last otherwise we'd have spent the whole day in the play area! Take towels and maybe a change of clothes as the magical garden includes fountains and sand pits for the kids to play in.

Huge castle for English royal family during 1600s, with plenty of routes to explorer the former residence, kitchen and garden. Lots of art pieces and interactive elements to guide tourist for better understanding. The surrounding garden is also huge and take up to 2 hours to walk around. Highly recommended to visit during the Tulip festival during April.

Absolutely beautiful and worth the trip out there. For those unfamiliar with public transit, we found it easy to get there with the tube and then southwest railway. You can just use your contactless card/Apple Pay the whole way here. We bought tickets online, although probably didn’t need to as there was no line on the Thursday late morning we got there. The staff recommended stopping in the gift shop for a free audio guide/tour. This was a wonderful suggestion and I would say is a necessity to really get the whole experience. There’s no set path to where you need to start first, but the audio guide sort of eludes to starting from the kitchens first, although that’s where we ended up finishing. Enjoy the history and take in the sights. We got there about noon and left around 3:00 including a stroll through all the gardens and maze. We’re not the type to take in every detail but we don’t breeze past things either. Worth the money and the trip.

The best historical landmark I have ever been to. There are a lot of people but it is far from crowded! There is a giant playground for the kids! You can get wonderful souvenirs and there are no queues. There is even a maze. I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in English history.

My first visit in 50 years. What an extraordinary place. And it managed to enthrall, engage, enlighten, entertain and educate three generations of my clan. Taking in all that is on offer (both indoors and outdoors) at this unique attraction can unsurprisingly be a little bit taxing for those who struggle with mobility. Gift shop and concessions prices are somewhat excessive.

This Palace spans some of the most turbulent times in the history of Great Britain. It is the quintessential royal palace with a great hall, reception rooms, state bedrooms, classic weapons, formal gardens and great kitchens. It brings to life leading historical characters and events that have helped form our nation. As if all this wasn't enough you can also see the most beautiful surviving Tudor ceiling and Europe's largest grapevine.

Wonderful place to visit. We arrived early so we could park at the palace car park. This worked well. The palace is impressive and there is a lot to see. There is a free audio tour, but un this means that there are not many signs. The Tudor part of the palace was favourite and the gardens are very beautiful. There are plenty of seats around which was good, as my daughter has mobility issues-this made life a lot easier.

I'm obsessed with the Tudors, so this place was like a paradise to me. Definitely need a pair of comfortable shoes and a bottle of water if you want to cover the whole ground. There is alot to see. There are different rooms, art, and beautiful gardens which I couldn't visit because some of them were closed, and I was also short on time. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded which was better for me. Definitely worth a long visit (don't forget the kitchens and the cellar).

My daughter and I enjoyed wandering round the house and gardens. I found the kitchens especially interesting as they had a couple of people enacting living history. Personally I think this is much more fascinating than audio guides. Much of the palace isn't open to the public and, although I enjoyed my visit I found it hard to get a feeling for how the Tudors lived day to day outside of the kitchens. More living history enactments would really help

Hampton Court Palace is dripping with history at every turn. You can see the development of the buildings and the impact of the various British monarchs to have called this home. The palace is in excellent condition and quite beautiful to behold, it has historical nuggets of information at every turn. A must see in London and of you’re lucky to be able to visit more than once it has lots to offer for the returning visitor. The staff are excellent, friendly and patient.

I would recommend everyone of all age groups to visit. It's steeped in history. A place to learn and a great place to admire the architecture and artwork. The palace and the gardens are fantastic. There is a self guided tour if you wish. You can easily spend all day there. There is a car park just inside the gates of the palace or it's an easy walk over the Thames river from the train station. I would recommend an annual pass as you can visit as often as you like and you can also visit a few other places as well.

Amazing palace. The size of the palace and grounds is quite large so be sure to plan for plenty of time (3+hours). There is an audio tour available which I did not use. It was enough for me to see the room and read the descriptions and signs. Very well done. The curators have done a great job in making history come alive. Will come back for more.

If you get excited about history, amazing houses, garden mazes, art, incredible gardens in general, or any or all of the above then this is definitely one for the bucket list! We had a blast! Walking in the footsteps of Henry VIII and entourage, George 1st and William III was simply amazing. Prices were reasonable, exhibits were well presented and accessible, a long way from the dull memories of my youthful - "being dragged along by the parents" - experiences. Highly, highly recommend 😃

Lot's to learn here, the audio guides are very good offering a family tour option suitable for 8+ but my 7 year old managed fine. Not really anything interactive, they had the life of Henry VIII playing in a part of his apartments. The use of light and noise made the story quite immersive(so much so my 2 year old sat for that). Parking on site £1.60 per hour as well as a cafe. Uk's first puzzle maze in the UK, gardens are nice with snowdrops and daffodils.

Fantastic historical site, and quite amazing how much of it has survived. The audio guide was top notch- it gave a lot of information but without droning on. I really liked the displays of the clothes in the Georgian section, and every staff member I talked to was a delight and satisfied my curiosity. It was nice to come in winter as the space was much quieter and easy to enjoy, but I would say I'm not sure I would have gone if it wasn't for the half price tickets.

An Interesting and important place to visit. Go early and spend about 4 to 6 hours if going inside and the gardens. You can just visit gardens if you fancy. Although, they will be nicer in spring onwards. The inside Chambers are definitely worth a visit. Showing Different eras and phases of Hampton Courts life.

The restaurant was also not crowded although not easy to find the entrance. A limited but varied and tasty menu is available.

Hampton Court Palace is just enchanting on so many levels. Of course being steeped in history, it is educational and allows for even the youngest members of the family to embrace the home in which Henry VIII lived, as well as the cultural nuances of that time. As well as the architect, the gardens are beautiful. The Palace have made every effort to keep enticing visitors back and the magic gardens continue to be the favourite for the younger ones! We were lucky enough to visit on a sunny autumn day and took advantage of the carriage ride around the estate. It was absolutely magical and very fairly priced. So a huge thank you to Operation Centaur for giving us the opportunity to meet and ride the horses when we always imagined it would always be far too expensive to ever experience that. It was definitely a highlight of our day! Tickets were pre booked with a starting arrival time. It didn't feel over crowded at all and it was a wonderful way to embrace Autumn.

(Translated by Google) The palace is very beautiful, both inside and out, but what is most striking are its gardens. If you are lucky and you see them when everything has blossomed, it is a spectacle of scents and colors. They also have a labyrinth through which it is interesting to walk.

(Translated by Google) Hampton Court Palace (English: Hampton Court Palace) is located in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, southwest of London, England. It was the royal residence of the Tudor and Stuart dynasties. Since the 18th century, Hampton Court has ceased to be the residence of the British royal family. Hampton Court was built in 1514 by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, who was once one of Henry VIII's favorite ministers. When Thomas Wolsey lost power, Henry VIII took the palace as his own and expanded it. Hampton Palace and St. James's Palace are the only remaining palaces that once belonged to King Henry VIII. Lovely day out, great historical visit. Lots to explore, you will need around 3 hours plus time for a coffee. The main restaurant was expensive, cost us £5 for a side of potato wedges. Only negative is the rooms are mostly empty, no real artifacts or furniture from the Tudor period.

A large palace complex rich with history, Hampton Court is definitely worth visiting at least once if you are in the area. There’s a lot of different things to see so you could easily spend a day within the palace buildings and gardens. In any exhibits all is signposted and explained well. The only thing I would say that you might need to consider is tickets are pretty expensive, especially if you are in a group it adds up quickly! Worth trying out one of the ferry rides too next to it if you have the time.

Lovely little spot. Great place to go and walk around some nice grounds and historical palace. Big enough for a day trip out to see plenty of interesting sights but not too much you can never see it all. Has historical items and information from Henry VIII, the Georgian period and William III too.

  • 4/5 Carl H. 2 years ago on Google
I had the pleasure of exploring the palace on a very quiet day. The rooms were expansive but could do with a bit more information to tell the story of its use. I still enjoyed my visit and probably should have got an audio tour or something.

One of the thing you cannot miss out to visit in England. Hampton court is in Kingston, not far from London. Is where you can learn about the Tudor dinasty and life of Henry VIII. The palace is totally opened to the public and the gardens too. There is a huge historical heritage to visit and I suggest to get the audio guide included in the ticket price, which adds loads of other interesting details during the tour. The things I enjoyed the most are the gardens and the kitchens but especially understand about his tumultuous life.

Me and my family have memberships with the Historic Royal Palaces and have visited here a few times. Everytime we come, I learn something new. We have a tradition where we ask the people guarding the rooms for their favourite fact or just a fact in general. Everyone has said something new and interesting. I would definitely recommend this!

What a beautiful building. I love the place. The incredible thing is how these guys take care of these places. These are more than 500 years old, "WoW." By the way, I missed the gardens area because I am there in the afternoon and we took around 2 hours to explore the palace building area and meanwhile gardens are closed at 2:30 pm. So strongly recommend going early morning so you can enjoy the gardens and the palace both. These gardens are so beautiful from the palace windows. I will go back to enjoy the gardens.

A must-see for anyone who is interested in English history, in particular Tudor and Georgian periods. Make sure you pick up a free audio guide from the shop, this will give you a lot of information as you walk around the palace which adds a whole new dimension to the experience. The staff were very helpful and were very knowledgeable. In particular, we learned a lot in the kitchens about food in the Tudor period. We came in December, and it was (understandably) very cold inside the older parts of the palace. Just something to bear in mind.

A nice place to go and enjoy. The gardens are no longer free as I saw in some of the comments. And dress well, cause it is not heated. Other than that it is a lovely day out. Audio guide is good, but there are also some galleries without audio, so just make sure you take a map from the entrance.

Took my parents here for their wedding anniversary as my mums been asking for years and my dad loves history. We had an amazing time as there’s so much to see from the castle to the gardens. We easily spent 2-3 hours here, and near the end of the castle, there’s a maze which was a lot of fun! If you‘ve never been before or only looked from the outside, you should go.

Our family of 4 loved this palace. The audio guides were helpful and came with our tickets. Don't buy more than one visitor's guide. It's very well done and sizeable, but it’s only helpful if you have time to read it. We went during the tulip festival which was spectacular. My teens really enjoyed the beautiful grounds and history.

  • 5/5 Mike K. 1 year ago on Google
It's been a long time since I was last here. The estate, in some regards, seems bigger. It was definitely a lot busier. There again it was the Queen's Jubilee Weekend. The jousting was good fun but it would have been nice to see it on large monitors. View points were limited and crowds soon obscured even the best vantage point. Queues at food outlets were MASSIVE. They definitely needed more outlets and more staff. Again, I didn't get to see the Maze.. Definitely planning to go again during the summer.

Great day out to immerse yourself in History! You get to see royal apartments, ceremonial areas, kitchens and other parts of the palace . Guides are friendly and approachable and available throughout the building. The gardens are lovely too. We went during the Tulip festival and it was a fabulous day out .

We had an enjoyable visit to Hampton Court Flower Festival 8/7/22. The show gardens were inspirational and beautifully planted. The Floral Marquee and Festival of Roses Marquee were a delight, an ideal place to go to see the different plant displays and get advice. There was a good variety of different shopping outlets to purchase garden related items and other things from the practical to the ornamental. There was a good choice of food and drink outlets. A big thank you to everyone concerned. Rosemary

Experience worth living! If you are an art lover + history + lovely architecture and some fun games around... It's something fun trying for a change. I actually got the membership as I do plan in the near future to visit all the royal palaces in it. Inside there is a lovely art collection on walls (hanged on the walls as well as painted on them and ceiling). You can also find some pottery in loads of cool shapes and mostly white and blue. Don't have pictures of them as there was a sign inside with a crossed camera... And I said my choices are to ask a member of staff (which was available almost in every room) or just not take any at all to not get myself in trouble... The lack of pictures of the inside sums up my choice 😆. Happy with what I saw. There was also this room with some board and card games, it was a fun way to spend some of the time with my family. Outside the gardens are cute ☺️. There is also an option to go round with a horse and carriage for £5... But I preferred by foot to enjoy every step of the garden. The maze was cool, finally a maze that led to a dead end 😆. The kitchen gardens were 10/10, biggest onion I've ever seen 😅😅😅. In terms of facilities like toilets... They were spotless and no nasty smells. They also had a magical garden for kids... I can't wait for a place to have something magical with slides and all that for adults too 😅... Just because I grew up doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy swings and all that 😂😊.

went to a concert in the grounds. It was phenomenal. The setting was amazing, the food trucks were brilliant, super god food. And the concert (Cool and the gang) was great. Lighting and music were great. Very magical setting and atmosphere. Plus the staff were great. All in all thoroughly recommend

Enjoy the beautiful flower field before the ticket check, it’s free for the public to explore. Spent about 2 hours doing the audio tour before going to the gardens. There are picnic areas if you want to bring your own lunch. Don’t miss the king’s staircase and queen’s staircase.

Wonderful experience exploring the stunning grounds of this Royal Palace. Take a step back in time and explode the regal rooms and court of King Henry VIII and learn about his wives and children. The palace kitchen gardens are delightful as are stunning variety of roses. We also enjoyed a fab lunch in one of the cafes with ample outdoor seating.

Hampton Court holds so much history. I could not visit London without visiting! Well organized & staffed for visitors. Tasty food was available for purchase & areas set aside to bring your own food. Labeling of exhibits & maps are excellent. Staff was friendly & helpful! I thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon at Hampton court!

Slightly out of the way from Central London (about 45 minutes ride from Waterloo), but it is well worth the trip. The palace itself is probably my favourite (stunning work) and the surrounding gardens are wonderful as well. Fully recommend and has enough to keep you busy for a day.

  • 5/5 Carla M. 6 months ago on Google
What an incredible experience! The palace is wonderfully well preserved, and has copious amounts of educational content. Free audio guides will lead you through the different sections and provide interesting insights in every room. Not only is it a feast for the eyes in terms of architecture, art, and historical artefacts, but fans of royal history will be satisfied with some of the most juicy and interesting stories from English history. It’s definitely worth the £26 ticket!

Wonderful place to visit. A mixture of centuries of history with world famous characters, grandiose rooms and beautiful gardens. The free audio guides are a plus. There is a lift for people with disabilities as well. Unfortunately, the chocolate kitchen was closed when we visited. You can easily spend 5 hours there without getting bored. The price is a bit expensive if going with the whole family though.

We have been to Hampton Court Palace a couple of times and there is always something new to see. This visit we went to the Christmas fair which had a lot of interesting craft and food stalls. There are always different events during the year but it goes without saying that King Henry VIII palace is a spectacular place to visit any time of the year.
