(60 metres) is part of the Bankipore Barrack / Cantonment complex. The College was established in 1889 by Bireshwar Prasad Singh (Zamindar of Kulharia, in the Arrah District). When Patna University was formed in 1917, the college was taken over by the University. In 1874, the first Government-run dispensary in Bihar, BANKIPORE DISPENSERY (later named as the TEMPLE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE), came up in the place now occupied by the hostel complex of Bihar National College. The Ghat is connected with Anta Ghat in the west and Mahendru Ghat in the east respectively by Promenade.
