So much greedy employee.. While the closing time is over.. Still authorities offered tickets for roping costs 60 rupees each per person.. That too much high for a middle class family.. But after offering the tickets authority asked to come on next day.. That is horrible experience.. Higher authorities should interfere this kind of day time loot (rubbery)... There is no complain box or any ways to put visitor feedback..that give the authorised employees to harass the visitors..

It was an amazing experience, the whole area is surrounded by water and lots of small hils. Everybody should visit not once but many times.

Best view of Nehru park as well as Hirakud dam.... A bird's view...

This rope way is inside the neheru park, it is situated at the end of the park, you'll see signs that leads the way to this place. You can take the rope way which leads to the minar, you'll get to experience an euphoria. The view of the hirakud dam from up here is amazing. This place opens at 11,30 Am and the closing time is 5.30 officially buy they also take people after that. They charge rupees 60 per person for the rope way. The staffs at the ticket counter is a bit weird. They kept shifting places to give the ticket. Otherwise it was a good experience

Ropeway Scam alert... Don't take rope way service... I repeat Don't take Ropeway service They scam money from people by giving half(one way) service & give a reason about there can't be a return journey & Also, they don't give refund & Don't have any policy about it. I request government to take legal action them. Its a Scam, its a crime. Also, the ticket booking guy don't give proper explanation & afraid to give toll free number or service contact to complain.

One & only in Sambalpur... had a great experience... one must visit in Sambalpur... only 4 people can travel in one compartment... per person ticket cost is Rs. 50 only for both up & down travel

Beautiful place with safe rope way system and also the place is very clean. Loved the place.

The glasses need to be cleaned regularly, otherwise it pays off great value to it's service. Not only it's transporting people from Nehru minaar to Park but it lets us enjoy the scenery views from the height.

Great place to hangout with your families and friends. One can have mini picnic in the nearby park with his/her families/friends by bringing home-cooked food. The ropeway experience is really fantastic. The charge is Rs. 60 for 1 person. At a time, 4 to 5 person can travel in the cable car.

Sorry but overrated place... And there was a snake when i visited.. lol But yes.. if you really want to enjoy the view, check google map for the road nearest to river/dam.. i think they call it picnic spot, you can have quality time there and click some pics. That area is pretty quit so be careful with water.. it might be dangerous. And if you also there for picnic please do clean place, atleast don't throw you garbage there, help to make it beautiful. Ropeway experience was great. It's pricing has issue. They make 4 adults and 2 child upto 10 years sit in one cabin while they charge full for children above age 4.

It's a great experience. The ride through ropeway is breathtaking and the view from the sky towards the Hirakud dam and the jawahar park is so beautiful. It's a life time experience. You will feel more than the other ropeway in India. Comparatively cheaper if you compare this rope way with the Kashmir and haridwar ropeway. The view and the experience is just wow. The top view of the mahanadi and the dam and the park is awesome. The tickets per person is approximately 70-80rs for to and fro. Come visit and enjoy.
