Ambience 5 stars food below average. Im Reffering to the vegetarian dishes. Still i would recommend going there for sure because of the theme amd good crowd.

The food tasted amazing, looked great and was super cheap! Staff were friendly, spoke good English, & gave recommendations that tasted awesome. Decor and vibe are funky! Will definitely come back!

A little touristy but very good. Tasty food with a big menu to choose from, including a separate menu if you are vegetarian. Delicious coffee with condensed milk.

Note this is the same place as Cafe Tamarind. Nice ambience and it is clean, however the food is pretty poor. The thai noodles were sitting in a huge puddle of salty soya sauce with no other flavour, pretty inedible. The Tower of Babel vegetable stack was ok but the tomato sauce was just ketchup, the coconut rice was really salty, and the tempura a bit greasy. Some of the veg was ok but some was bland and mushy. Drinks were ok.

Excellent restaurant and great staff. We went there as they had vegetarian options and have to say they are indeed amazing at vegetarian food. Great suggestions and excellent taste. Plus the decoration of soo many beautiful lanterns just makes your meal perfect. Special mention to Zui, he made us comfortable with the menu and was extremely nice and friendly. We had Pho, Thai Curry, Falafel Burger, Pasta (all Vegetarian) I highly recommend this place.

Nice restaurant, nice food to fill up our tummy after longg whole day trip back from Ha Long Bay. Went there on Saturday night where the street performance was just in front of the restaurant, make additional entertainment for us. Will come back and visit again if we were in Hanoi Old Quarters 👍😊😊

We arrived at Ha noi late and we didn't get to find a place to eat until 10pm. Most of the restaurants were closing at 11 and the Beer Street was a little too much for me after a tired traveling day. I found Lantern restaurant from Google review, which said this restaurant close at 12. There were there tables of people so that's a good sign. When we sat down and looked at the menu, our server told us to put in our orders quick because kitchen would be closing soon. Maybe the kitchen close 45 minutes earlier than the restaurant I didn't ask. We ordered the fish with dill and lemongrass and noodles, fried squid with rice, steamed clam with lemongrass, stirred fried beef with rice. For some reason the chef made the stirred fried chicken instead of beef though. The fish with lemongrass and dill was the best dish. The sauce was on point and the portion was good. Steamed clam with lemongrass didn't have much flavor. Fried squid was tender but the batter was didn't give the squid crispy texture and it also fell off the squid. Chicken was ok.

Being a cook I must say my culinary experience was fairly discraceful. I ordered the grilled fish in tomato sauce and got a chewy deep fried fish swimming in sweet and sour sauce (no trace of tomato). The rest of the food was just as bad. We just left everything on the table. See image for end of meal... Avoid

Lovely, cosy place, especially the Lantern Lounge, even if a little touristy. The food was good, all drinks were awesome and the desert delicious. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well and brought our food and drinks surprisingly fast.

Great place to eat in Hanoi. Large menu and service was great. Beers are well priced too!

They offer vegetarian menu. All dishes are salty to our taste. Their stir fry veggie portion is quite big. We order the stir fried morning glory, which is actually water spinach or also known as Kangkung. Taste ok but salty.

Sehr feines Essen, für angemessene Preise. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, sprach gut englisch und war technisch auf modernem Stand. Ich trank einen Erdbeer-Eistee und mein Freund einen Maracujasaft. Zu Essen bekam ich Panierte Baconstücke, diese und das Getränk waren sehr lecker, anderes Essen habe ich nicht probiert. Jeder zahlte 6€ für seine Mahlzeit, was in Anbetracht des Service und des Essens absolut gerechtfertigt war. Die Musik war angenehm im Hintergund. Eine Empfehlung für jeden!
