We had such a good experience bringing our newly adopted racer from Ireland in to see Dr Black. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We will be transferring our other two pets over to this practice soon.

I have three large senior dogs and every single visit there makes me wish they could be my own personal physician. They treat our family with compassion and professionalism and are extremely knowledgeable. They have a wonderful way of balancing treatment plans specific to the animal, and the family, by providing options from the conservative to the most complicated. They leave the decision making with the family knowing that each has different variables, tolerances and goals for enjoying their pet as long as possible with the highest quality of life.

People here are nice, friendly, and communicate well. They didn't make me feel like I was just another customer; scheduling was accommodating. Most importantly, they had my Rocky feeling so much better dealing with his collapsed trachea and gave me some good advice to help prolong his life. I am very thankful I found this place.

My sweet lucy has a lot of skin issues & its extremely stressful, ive called AGH multiples times needing very last minute appointments just within the past few months and they have came through every time and i am so beyond grateful! Not only is everyone super sweet, but you know it's genuine. If youre looking for a facility that cares, this is the spot. The energy is so positive inside of this practice that my dog actually stays calm & happy the whole time! Cant recommend enough! Excellent veterinarians at this practice! We have met them all for our dogs' care. It can be difficult to find vets that are knowledgeable about greyhound-specific conditions and anesthesia concerns, and the doctors here know what they are doing with greyhounds and I trust them with my dogs. Highly recommend them for anyone with a greyhound in this area. The staff is all wonderful and was extremely helpful when we went through an injury & long recovery. We even had a little party at the office at the end of that!

Dr. Julie is amazing. She really takes the time to thoroughly explain things. She also shows so much love for the animals. You can tell she genuinely cares. She's the best combination of knowledgeable and passionate. All of the other staff is super friendly and very helpful, too. I was there two days in a row (one for a checkup, the next day for a shot), and saw different staff since I was there at different times of the day, and you could just feel the positive energy. Everyone working there when I visited had such a great attitude! Love Animal General.

I’m so happy with this vet. After having the worst experience at her last vet, I came in extremely anxious with my cat Nina. I love that her doctor explains everything so thoroughly and calls her “my friend”. The way the vet techs handle her is so gentle and kind. Nina actually likes being there. They listen to my concerns and talk through things with me—they don’t just hand me a bill with no explanation. The front desk and billing people were warm and genuine. Everyone is so compassionate and professional. I would highly recommend them.

I moved to the area about a year ago, and my dogs just came due for their yearly shots and check up. I was a little worried about finding a new vet, but I'm really glad that I found this place and decided to take them here. The price was a little more than I had anticipated, but the service was top notch. I asked if I could stay in the car until there was a room ready because my boys are pretty high energy and it would just be easier than trying to keep them under control in the lobby. They called me right back and said they had a room available and I could bring them in. The dogs were nervous and the staff did a great job at calming them. The nurse Lynda was great and full of information, and when Dr. Sharon came in, she was very friendly, explained everything, and did a great job at working with my dogs. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet to care for their furry friends.

Amazing nurses and vets. The vet listened to my concerns and desires regarding our 14 1/2 year old tiny dog. She realized we were concerned about quality of life and therefore used her extensive knowledge to prescribe medications and special foods based on her initial diagnosis without putting our baby through all kinds of procedures which would frighten her. Everything done has made an amazing quality of life improvement, and our dog is presently happy, eating and acting like she did 10 years ago! Couldn't be more pleased.

We had a very pleasant experience with Animal General for our neuter surgery with Bailey. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Jennifer explained everything that would happen during the procedure as well as instructions for after care. When Dr. Sharon called after the procedure, she was extremely pleasant and informative and made us feel at ease. I would highly recommend Animal General!!

From the time my elderly dog and i walked through the front door for the first time, the staff were considerate and helpful. At no point did i feel out of place or unwelcome. The nurses and doctors helped my old man dog feel comfortable and safe at every opportunity. The evidence is apparent that not only do these folks enjoy their job, but that they are good at what they do.

Our first visit to Animal General was exceptional. After our former vet sold the practice to Thrive we were not comfortable with the service provided. My neighbors and my yoga instructor both recommended Animal General and Dr. Julie Z. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and everyone was on time. Our 10+ year old Keeshond needed his vaccines and a general check up. Both Dr Julie and her assistant, Eugene provided excellent care. They listened to our concerns and Dr. Julie gave us some good tips and information. We have al ready made a second appointment for vaccines due this fall. The checkout process was efficient and friendly and the price was very reasonable. The facility is clean and well designed. We are so happy we were directed to their service.

Dr. Julie is absolutely AMAZING!!! She takes as much time as you need and answers every single question you ask. She is one of the most caring, compassionate, veterinarian I’ve ever met. You can instantly sense that she truly cares about the animals. Im extremely pleased with our choice in Animal General Hospital.

I can never say enough great things about AGH! All the doctors, nurses + staff are phenomenal, but we sigh a bit of relief whenever we see Nurse Cortnee walk into the room with her big smile and reassuring attitude! Our puppy has been accident prone since the day we brought her home- from chewing through electrical cords to breaking her existing kinked tail- Dr. Black, Cortnee and the rest of the doctors, nurses + staff at AGH provide the best care to our pup, but also leave my fiancé and myself feeling reassured every time with detailed and thorough instructions, recommendations + a wellness plan in place!

We had taken our new pup to a local vet and we’re extremely upset by their customer service and how they treated our puppy. So we googled, and found General Animal Hospital. We couldn’t be any happier than we are that she was and will continue to be seen here for any appointments. The staff was EXTREMELY caring an gentle towards our little fur baby. The doctor and nurses made sure they were thoroughly explaining everything to us and answering all of our questions to their best knowledge. After our appointment was finished, the nurses gathered around and played with our puppy for at least another half hour, which was super special to us and thought it added a nice ending to our welcoming visit. We had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to take our puppy back!

Animal General Hospital is great! We have had our Aussie Doodles there for checkups and other health issues few times and have not been disappointed with their services. Their prices are very reasonable, staff is compassionate, caring and knowledgable, facilities are nice and clean. Definitely recommending this place for anyone looking for a good care for their pet(s).

Moving to a new state with your dog is super scary because you have to place your trust in a new vet. We were very comfortable with the staff (Sarah) and Dr Sharon. They took a lot of time with us and listened to all our concerns and questions. We have received follow up information on the tests and super quick. I highly recommend this practice.

Sasha is an elderly cat with a history of abuse. Everyone at Animal General Hospital has been so caring and patient with her. Recently, when my car was in the shop, a friend drove Sasha and me to an appointment at AGH, and she was super impressed with all the staff and the facilities. Her family has had many pets over the years in many places, and she has seen many vet offices.
