I took two classes with Sunny at Ram Yoga House and it was an amazing experience. He teaches to the student based on experience level and when I had a one-on-one session with him he gave a lot of great assistance and support. He has positive and calming energy and gives clear direction. I felt amazing at the end of each class!

Ram Yoga House is a small, welcoming guest house with a beautiful yoga studio and delicious food. Everyone on staff is helpful, friendly, and made me feel at home. The yoga studio has mountain views and Sunny offers amazing, personal yoga classes in the morning and evening. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet. I highly recommend staying here!

Loved it. Very spacious room and clean. Balcony faced the valley , his Holiness and the cricket stadium. The roof deck and yoga studio is out of this world. I spent hours in there reading , watching the paragliders and the Mountain Eagles sore around the skies. Wish I could have stayed longer

Overall, I really wanted to love Ram's Yoga House, but in the end the things that matter most were not present. Ram seems to be over having a guest house and on numerous occasions completely ignored my reasonable requests. One time I asked for a yoga class based on a flyer I saw downstairs and he completely ignored my questions, even when I followed up several times. He said he would get back to me and never did. Another time, I asked a question about surrounding villages, no answer. Even no answer to my question of why there was no response - and I was friendly the whole time. Fine, that's all good and well - maybe he's burnt out or needs a break. We all do sometimes. But then came the fact that the staff THREW AWAY (this is what I was told) my stuff when I checked out. I accidentally left my dirty laundry which included several branded Nike shirts, expensive jeans, a swimsuit, and Oysho yoga pants with a total retail value of at least $300. Mind you, the staff had been doing my laundry the whole time, so they knew these were things I regularly had laundered. I messaged Ram one day after check out to tell him I left some stuff. He said nothing was there. I asked him to check with woman who cleaned room. He again did not respond until days later when I followed up yet again to tell me that my clothes had been thrown away and that the garbage had been collected on the weekend. Had he checked sooner, I might still have my clothes. But this begs another question, what kind of guesthouse throws guests clothes away, especially obviously expensive clothes? Did I mention that I stayed here for 3 whole weeks? I asked Ram how to resolve and he told me, 'These things happen, it's gone.' No responsibility for bad, untimely communication or anything of the like. No attempt to rectify situation even when I asked him how we find resolve. Nila was amazing. The food is good. The place is nice, as is the room (although the kitchen is unusable) but if you're staying for yoga or for reasons of safety - I recommend staying somewhere that won't 'throw away' your valuables and will respond to communications.

Ven too noisy in the studio but atmosphere is good and good lights, slight dog barking in the nights, no lights to switch on of the right side of the bed, good for early morning meditation. Ants will come to the studio-room. The best thing anyway is the short way to the Temple for those, who like kora-walking or walking-meditation, because you don't have to pass by cars nor shops...so no pics can occupy your mind and affect concentration ✨

Ram Yoga House is the best place to stay in McLeod Ganj. The rooms are clean, spacious, and offer fantastic views. The hotel is situated off the main road, so you will find your stay is quiet, peaceful, and uninterrupted by car horns. The true highlight of Ram Yoga House, however, is Ram and his wonderful staff. They will go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant and safe. I visit McLeod Ganj regularly, and I always book my stay with Ram.

This is the best place I have stayed at in years! The yoga room up top is such a plus to be able to do my practices in. The view is also something else! The staff is incredible. People that I will continue to stay in touch with. So friendly and very accommodating. They had amazing recommendations as to what to do around town. The beds are SO comfy! I loved this since I have been traveling around in not so comfortable places. It’s also right next to town so an easy walk to food and the Dalai Lama’s temple yet tucked away enough for a little bit of silence. I Highly recommend Ram’s Yoga House! 😊

Great location in Mcleodganj but tucked away in a quiet area, staff is wonderful, yoga Shala is very unique and has an incredible view. Also possible to book treks and other services through hotel, which is very helpful.

Greates place to stay in Mc Leod Ganj! Great people, rooms and view, in a quiet surrounding but near to the city center and all main attractions in reach. Offer great breakfast and nice Yoga classes twice a day for a small extra money. You feel like at home away from home from the first moment.

A really great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff and I felt very safe as solo female traveller. I really enjoyed the yoga classes with Sunny Attri, he had a very gentle style of teaching and good understanding that maybe western bodies can be rather stiff and inflexible. I have not always had that experience taking yoga class in India!! I’d highly recommend the classes and the place to stay πŸ™

We felt at home since the first moment we arrived at Ram Yoga House. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and have a very nice balcony. They have a nice common where you can sit and read, drink chai, or order something from their menu. What really made a difference was the service. We want to name Nila, who was very proffesional, friendly and helpful at all times. He was happy to help us planning our trip, and also kept our bags there while we went to the mountains for a couple of days. When we went back to pick our stuff, we were welcomed to spend the rainy day in the house and enjoyed sharing a chai with the staff. We would definetely recommend staying at Ram Yoga House! Thank you Nile, we would love to see you again! (What we wouldnt recommend is taking the yoga classes. They offer daily yoga classes. Even though the teacher seemed a really nice person, we did not like at all the class he offered.Very fast, and didnt seem to be connecting with the yoga, the body, the people.).

Laurie and Ram are lively hosts. They are accomodating, flexible and they really care for their guests. We were warmly welcomed for our stay in Mcleodanj A bit cold when winter arrives but a heater was provided ! The food is also very good and they have real coffee and even invented a special pancake on the menu due to our request. Absolutely lovely hosts, we will come back

One of the most special places I’ve stayed traveling through India for three months. It really feels like the warmest family. Amazing for solo female travelers. 🀍

Dear Lori and Dear Ram Thank you very much for this very nice stay ! The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. A great balcony with fantastic views. The sun warms the room and makes it bright all day. We spent a lot of time just chilling there. Ram yoga house is in a calm neighborhood. The temple is near of the hotel, approximately 5min walking down. The food was also really good. We enjoyed the yoga classes with the very nice energy and experience of Lori. We felt at home at Ram Yoga House, all the staff as well as the owners are lovely and kind.

I cannot rate Ram Yoga House more highly!! We booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 10! The rooms are spacious and equipped with all you might need (kettle and even a hairdryer!), but it's the view from the balcony that is truly remarkable! Watching sunrise and sunset from there was a true highlight of our 3mths in India. Laurie, Ram, Nilesh and all the staff in Ram Yoga House go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable and at ease in the property. The food is great and the yoga classes with Laurie were some of the best instruction-led classes I've received. She's an excellent teacher and shows great care and compassion towards her students. The property is centrally located in Mcleodganj, just a short walk to all that you might wish to explore. So if you're looking for a landing spot in Mcleodganj or a homely place to relax and reset, Ram Yoga House is for you!
