If I can give a ZERO star review I would. My family was on a flight from Cap Haiten to the US. When they reached the US airport, we realized that the airline staff members STOLE CLOTHES AND PERSONAL ITEMS meant for family in the US. As a Haitian myself, I can't believe that my people would steal from us. Especially when investing so much time, money and other resources for the betterment of my Haitian people. The amount of hurt I feel is unimaginable.

International Airport Cap-Haitian (AICH), which became Hugo Chavez International Airport in 2013, as a tribute to former Venezuelan President, is the second largest airport in the country. @safetripshaiti can ensure your safety transport from the airport to the city center. Contact @safetripshaiti to accompany you, to guide you and to even plan your trips. Experience the best destinations in @historichaiti added to your bucket list.

We have to admit, it's not the best in terms of airports, but at least it provides an acceptable service for all those (especially international ones) who no longer see themselves obliged to go down to Port au Prince.

An airport in CAP deserves 10 stars. Wished they served hamburgers with seasoned fries though, but no worries, flight is usually an hour and thirty minutes away from somewhere that does. Thanks Ayewopò!

You know what they say, " airports, train/bus stations are indications if you are going to enjoy your vacations cause they are the main entries to a country". Unfortunately, there is a lot that need to improve at the airport. For starters, if it is raining, no plane can land in Cap-Haitien.

Less crowded than PAP, but much space still needed especially in the Arrival which is a mess with one single plane on the Tarmac.

One of the main airports 🛫 in the country 🇭🇹, a lot of travels ✈️ recently. It is a minor international airport located in Cap Haitian, a city in Nord, Haiti. It is the second largest airport in Haiti. This airport connects Haiti to airports like Miami International Airport, Providenciales International Airport, Cibao International Airport, and among others in the Caribbean region.

Cap-Haïtien International Airport, located in northern Haiti, serves as a gateway to the country's historical and cultural hub. Situated amidst lush greenery, the airport's surroundings offer a picturesque backdrop upon arrival or departure. However, my experiences at Cap-Haïtien International Airport have been consistently marred by several issues. The first and foremost problem has been the malfunctioning air-conditioning system. The lack of proper cooling in the terminal makes waiting for flights uncomfortable, especially in Haiti's tropical climate. Another concerning issue has been the reports of employees involved in unethical practices, such as pilfering items from passengers' luggage. This unfortunate behavior not only violates trust but also raises serious security concerns for travelers using the airport. Moreover, the mishandling of baggage has been a recurring problem. Instances of luggage being misplaced, damaged, or delayed have added to the frustrations of passengers, disrupting travel plans and causing inconveniences. Despite these drawbacks, the airport does have some positives. The stunning backdrop of the nearby mountains and the ocean adds a touch of natural beauty to the overall atmosphere. The airport's efforts to showcase local art and culture through displays and exhibitions also deserve commendation. However, to improve the overall experience for travelers, significant attention must be given to rectifying the issues mentioned. Implementing stringent security measures to curb theft, ensuring proper maintenance of facilities like the air-conditioning system, and enhancing baggage handling procedures are vital steps that the airport management should prioritize. In conclusion, while Cap-Haïtien International Airport's setting exudes a charming ambiance, the persistent problems with air-conditioning, baggage handling, and employee misconduct significantly detract from its appeal. Addressing these issues is imperative to elevate the airport's reputation and provide travelers with a more pleasant and secure experience.

I would give it 5 stars, flying in or out is fast. People from Okap are great, smiling and friendly. Only one thing: they make everyone pass through customs and inspection when arriving from abroad. They say it's the norm, however I've been flying in of out of Haiti through Port-au-Prince for 40 years. They never once made me pass through customs or inspected my bags upon arrival. I can I understand 'madanm sara's' those bringing in items to sell, who are usually easy to identify and singled out. But not ones with a carry-on, or small suitcase. They should be left alone, like in Port-au-Prince. For that I take off the 5th star from Okap.

By the time I got my flights there were no issues. You might encounter people outside that will be asking you for some change but in overall it was a good experience.

It was very beautiful, the people were very welcoming. Social distance in compliance. The procedures to go through immigration were very secured and fast, overall I'm very satisfied.

Flying into Cap-Haïtien airport is much more convenient than flying into Port and then flying to CAP. I just hope American Airlines starts back up in CAP soon.

Way to small an airport for the population they support. No damn duty free store. What international Airport doesn't have a duty free store. Only fly there if you only have that option. Nuff said
