I wish that they had more variety in terms of English language and Creole books. Seems to be very Francophone and French centered. But they are attentive and have good customer service. I found the lady upstairs to be particularly helpful.

Been buying books there for about 18 years... owners listen to need and will gladly order books you d need or suggest. My son library is complete because of their niceness. Children friendly place on top of that.

Friendly and helpful staff, good location with private parking and a helpful staff. La Pleiade has a good selection of books, including grammars for those who want to improve their French (which is my case...). They also accept cards and have a good parking with security available right beside the commercial centre Promenade, the same centre where La Pleiade is located. If you're looking for a good book shop in Pétion-Ville, it's worth visiting this one.

Visited from the U.S. Takes U.S. dollars and gourdes. But this place is laughably expensive for the Haitian population. There prices are equivalent to a U.S. university bookstore. I felt like I had a target on my back whenever I entered or exited this place. Great selection of overpriced books in French, but they need to have some national pride and expand their tiny selection of books in Haitian Creole.
