We ordered the chicken Karaage and the pug shaped custard bun and red bean bun at Governors ball. The chicken was really good and consistent esp. for a festival. I love how it was bite sized and flavorful. The custard and red bean bun were soft and sweet.

Extremely cute place, however seems to be short staffed. Place is spacious & social distancing is not an issue at all. Thai ice tea comes in cute pouches, takoyaki is delicious, chicken katsu curry a bit dry but decent. Def gonna try other items when I go back.

I went there for dinner and lunch and both times were fantastic! I highly recommend the golden yuzu ramen with extra toppings (karaage). It’s really spacious, honestly surprised it’s not more crowded, and the service is great. Would visit here every time I go to the mall.

The servers are great. Just took a while to get the food. The food was great though. We got the clam shoyu - which was a good mix of the refreshing clam in a perfectly seasoned shoyu broth. The amount was good as well. As for the classic tonkotsu, it seemed the portion was on the smaller side but it was good. The broth is slightly less deep than the usual tonkotsu broth at other places. The atmosphere was pretty good.

Got to swing by Friday just before it got busy for dinner. My bf and I tried the black garlic ramen and the spicy miso ramen with extra noodles and broth. The food was solid. I really liked the black garlic ramen and the pork belly was cooked well. My bf thought the spicy miso broth was too salty. But overall, we enjoyed our experience here. I also got the shiso juice, really refreshing and good! We also tried the wagyu sushi! Our server was very nice but it was very busy and service was extremely slow because there were not enough staff to hold down the business. There was only one server and limited kitchen staff. We waited a while for our food to come out and saw another table getting frustrated and leaving the restaurant. The business would do a lot better if they hired more staff. It's a huge space and just walking from the kitchen to the tables to serve is about 30 feet.

Have been here multiple times, great food specially the pork buns 10/10 and my fav item in the menu also should try the grape soda and red shiso juice. PD: their desserts are bangers!! Could be a little bit pricey for some people

For a ramen place, this is one of the biggest venues. The ramen was ok, chashu was a little bit dry for me. If you're not a fish fan, don't order the fish broth. Karaage chicken was pretty good. Overall, decent place. They have some anime nights on a projector.

Tojos Kitchen makes the most delicious Japanese food in the area. Excellent food, prepared fresh at reasonable prices. The place is spotlessly clean and you get great service. Also has a nice large sit down area in a very quiet corner of the mall. Do yourself a favor and try this place next time you are at the mall!

It's quite good but I've thought it would be better😔 Tea was tasty but ramen...no!

Apps were great, broth was great, noodles were a bit lacking but everything else was really good - including the drinks - so it was a success.

My go to for wagyu sushi and rice bowls!! My family and I love to come here over the food court every time we visit Garden State mall! Their service is very friendly and their food is always so freshly made. The space is beautiful and family friendly too.

we came in on a sunday so the mall had no crowd at all! yay! our hostess was very well-mannered and. efficient. We started off with takoyaki which was generous portions of octopus and had very good flavor! definitely worked our appetites. We then went ahead with our ramens: Hubster got the spicy red and I had the tonkatsu which was rich, creamy and delicious. Because we were quite hungry we also had the Pork Shashu don lol savory and filling. for drinks and sweets we had the matcha milk tea. It didnt have boba but thats actually good for us this visit since the boba would have filled us up even quicker. Love the bitterness of the matcha but that the overall drink still had some lovely sweetness. And of course we finished off with their cute frenchie taiyakis. We had custard and banana chocolate. Custard was the best but the dough could have been a little softer or better yet with some sticky rice flour consistency. But over all we loved everything and enjoyed every bit of it! we’ve been here before around 4yrs ago but today was especially good! So glad we had another opportunity to revisit - everything was Oishi!!

Great restaurant and excellent service. Everything was amazingly good. Located right next to the underground parking lot of the mall, with a big enough space and plenty of sitting. The food was excellent, also plenty of options in the menu. Recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely delicious food and environment. The staff make you feel like you’re at home and very welcomed. As a vegetarian, I appreciate all the options and delicious appetizers such as the Tofu Buns and Vegetable Gyoza. The ramen is flavorful and leaves one wanting more. I would definitely love to come back.

Had a nice lunch at Tojo's while shopping at the mall! We had karaage, classic tonkotsu ramen, and chashu beef don and they were fantastic. Great portion size, authentic, and reasonably priced. The place is spacious and has a very fun vibes. Will come back next time we are at the mall! It's away from the main food court which can be too crowded and hectic.

Great place for ramen! I'm so in love with noodle and broth of this place. Service was very friendly and warm welcome. Food came fast and delicious with quality plus with cold weather like winter the hot soup is even better. I always go shopping in GSP, so Tojo's kitchen is the good place to stop by for nice meal on my days off.

We returned to Tojo for a weekend lunch, after a while. Was really excited to see they have extended their menu. Lots more appetizers, like takoyaki and calamari. They added more tables and widened the sitting area space. In entrees they have added, my favorite, curry items. We tried a lot these new items, including chicken katsu curry. We throughly enjoyed all the items. The curry was sooo tasty, just the right amount to finish with the rice and chicken. They also have couple of specialty drinks, that come in pouches instead of cups.
