Great hike. There was alot of fog. Which added to the intense ambience we went the last day of December. The weather was awesome for hiking. The fog was ominous and intense and great. You could probably only see about 3 to 600 feet in front of you and then there's this wall of fog. Great time. My 4-year-old daughter my wife and myself enjoyed the trail the cliff very much. Highly recommended.

Ohhhh the Appalachian trial, how beautiful you are regardless of what section I'm on. Loved this mountain, moderate hiking trail, beautiful views from above. Loved table rock and peters mountain shelter!

This place has one of the prettiest views that is easy to get to. It's only about a 10 minute walk to get to the small overlook. It's peaceful and clean! Plenty of wildlife, rock formations and views to catch on this hike.

Nice parking area to access the AT. Easy 2 mile hike from here to table rock overlook. Several overlooks along the way. Since the parking is at the top of the mtn the hike to table rock is fairly flat.

Another good hike. Started at the parking area on top of Peter's Mountain and hiked towards the river. The lookout was a nice view!

This is an offshoot of the Appalachian Trail that leads down to Camp Hebron. The trail has a few steep parts that involve a little bit of harder climbing. When the trail hits the Appalachian Trail go right to get to Table Rock (its not far maybe a 10th of a mile) overlook or right to get to a shelter (about a mile). There is a shelter on the trail leading down to the camp but it has no water or outhouse. Last time I went past that shelter it looked like it was in pretty bad need of repair too.

Popular trail. Mostly level, but rocky in places. Nice overlooks of the Halifax area from the power lines, and Clark's Valley from Table Rock. Lots of graffiti where the power lines cross the trail. ETA 8/11/2022: AT recently rerouted along the northern slope of the mountain around the graffiti at Shock Rocks. Nicely done, too.
