We have a very nervous and potentially aggressive dog in new places. Due to covid we weren't able to enter the building with him and were reluctant to go to the vet as we had moved from Toronto and hadn't been to a vet in Nova Scotia yet. Everyone from the receptionist, the vet tech and the veterinarian were extremely informative, professional and made my dog feel extremely comfortable. They didn't try to sell me things my dog didn't need, they offered treatment options and were fairly priced. I will definitely be returning and will definitely recommend anyone to trust your pets with them. Thanks a lot Spryfield Animal Hospital!

I am not one to typically write reviews let alone bad ones but here we are. If I could leave a 0 star review I would. I took my 7 month old kitten to get spayed here recently. The next day her incision opened up and her insides were on her outside. This was a very scary and traumatic moment for both her and I. I’m not sure if she just wasn’t stitched up correctly or if they just glued her shut. Either way this shouldn’t have happened. I ended up rushing her to 4 paws for emergency surgery to save her life. To top it off I also asked for her to be microchipped… the microchip fell out the day she got home?! How does that even happen? The amount of money people spend here for the “best care” for their animals is ridiculous. Safe to say we will have a nice conversation and after that I will not being returning.

Staff and Vets are very caring and professional. They make sure I have all of the information I need to make informed decisions about my pet’s treatment. Dr Desveaux is the best! She truly cares about my puppy and goes the extra mile to make sure my puppy is well-cared for. Staff are all kind and professional. I highly recommend Spryfield Animal Hospital.

First time taking our dog to the Spryfield vet clinic.. We were very impressed with the care she received. No pressure to do unwarranted and expensive tests. We appreciate the knowledge and compassion from all the staff. The Doctor was very knowledgeable, kind and easy to speak with.

I had a positive experience taking my pup to this client recently. They got me in the quickest of any of the other clinics in the HRM that I contacted. I would recommend to others.

There are no words for how grateful we are to have this extraordinary team caring for our dog. From the start, our puppy has had to endure multiple complicated health concerns, and the diagnostics, treatment, and world-class care we have received for him can't be described. We would not have our little guy with us today if not for the entire team at Spryfield Animal Hospital. They treat us like family, and they ARE family to us. If Spryfield Animal Hospital isn't your vet, you should seriously reconsider. They're simply the BEST on every level.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the Spryfield Animal Hospital that has left me utterly dismayed and disappointed. I had booked a wellness and vaccination appointment for my puppy, a responsibility I take very seriously, well in advance for September 16th. However, this seemingly simple task turned into a nightmare when the vet office called me a mere 8 days before the scheduled appointment to cancel, displaying an astonishing level of inflexibility and indifference. Upon receiving the call, I was informed that my appointment was being canceled and that I had two less-than-ideal options. The first was to give my puppy the vaccine early, which would have been in direct violation of the contract I have with the breeder, a clear breach of trust and responsibility. The second option presented to me was to wait an additional two months for an appointment. It was clear that the receptionist I spoke with had little regard for the importance of adhering to vaccination schedules and was dismissive of my concerns. This incident has left me feeling appalled by the professionalism and priorities of the staff and caregivers at this veterinary office. While I understand that not all members of a team may share the same views, this experience has cast a dark shadow over the entire establishment. The receptionist's indifference and disregard for the welfare of my puppy have left me with a deeply negative impression. It is common knowledge that vaccines given too closely together can result in a suboptimal immune response and potentially endanger the health of our beloved pets. The fact that this veterinary office was willing to ignore this critical aspect of pet care in favor of convenience is a glaring red flag. It raises serious doubts about their commitment to the well-being of the animals they are entrusted to care for. I now find myself faced with the unenviable task of trying to secure another veterinary appointment on short notice, which is bound to be a challenging endeavor. This experience has shattered my trust in this establishment, and I feel compelled to warn others who may be considering their services. If you truly care about the health and well-being of your pets, I strongly advise against entrusting them to a place that prioritizes convenience over the proper care and vaccination of your beloved animals.

I have had such good care for my pets at this hospital. The staff are knowledgeable and compassionate. We have had a rash of health issues with our pets from diabetes to cancer. From last minute appointments to excellent guidance and advice I cannot speak highly enough of the care all of our pets have received.

They were able to take my cat in on short notice and were extremely friendly and professional. The vet tech and doctor made sure to keep me informed and were as gentle as possible with my cat. The office staff were friendly and efficient. All in all as nice an experience as could be hoped for.

They were very good and were sympathetic to Jade our small dog. The Doc. offered options and didn't try to push one treatment over the other giving us the choice. Over all a good experience.

I can’t say enough good things about this practice. I have a 4-year-old, very nervous and reactive cattle dog. As such, she needs to take things slowly and requires some patience to get through her annual vet exam and vaccinations. Both the vet tech (I didn’t catch their name) and Dr. Desveaux were absolutely amazing with her tonight - by the end of our visit, she was happy and wiggling and taking treats from everyone, which is a huge deal for her! They accommodated us completely - from making sure other dogs and people kept a respectful distance from us, to turning off a vacuum that was being run in another room because they knew she was afraid of it. We drive from Cole Harbour to go to this vet because we know we will be well taken care of. Thank you, Spryfield Animal Hospital!

Dr. Mencher was fantastic! He treated my dog like his own and was so gentle & friendly with her. My dog is often timid/scared of the vet, but he made her so comfortable - she was just smiling and wagging her tail. He professionally answered all of my questions and concerns around her health, and provided me with many options to make an informed decision. My only feedback on the admin side of things is that I didn't know my dog was overdue for vaccines/annual check up until I called to ask for more Bravecto. Would be awesome to have the clinic proactively reach out to ensure we're not overdue for anything.

Spryfield Animal hospital did a great job helping with our 2 pups who had a run in with a porcupine. Super accommodating on an early morning emergency call and the pups were very well cared for. They did a next day follow up and their prices were reasonable for the work done. We will be back!

I'm very happy with this clinic. They were excellent with my fearful, elderly cat years ago, and now with my puppy. My dog is actually excited to go in! I was nervous about her spay operation, but the staff was incredible about taking the time to answer questions and prepare me. They even kept my pup with them at the front desk before her surgery after I asked that she not be left alone (she's very social). I thought that was above and beyond. Really good veterinarians and staff here, especially Dr. Desveaux, who is very thoughtful.

Couldn’t get a timely appointment for my pup with an ear infection. This clinic got me in on a cancellation and fixed us right up! Very friendly and provided great care. Frankie feels much better.
