Great team and great environment at NUMA Judo! We had been trying for months to find an organized activity for our 8 year old son, ideally something physical to replace gymnastics which he had recently lost interest in after a few years. He had no interest in basketball or hockey, we had tried soccer, baseball, cubs even a couple other martial arts with no luck. We asked the NUMA staff a few questions and they were very responsive, friendly and encouraging without being pushy. We took them up on their offer to have our son watch a class, then try a class. It started off terrible, he was too anxious and reluctant to try it… stood cross-armed with a scowl for 10 minutes while the coaches encouraged him to participate. After 20 minutes he was begrudgingly participating in some of the warm-up exercise/games, after 30 minutes he started letting the occasional smile slip. At 40 minutes he was laughing and completely enthralled, enjoying the coaches, the activities and the newly expanded social circle of young friends. This was nearly a year ago, he’s still loving it and even competed in his first tournament. The staff are truly wonderful, so nurturing but also disciplined… the kids don’t get away with disrupting the classes unchecked. We’re so happy our son is part of the NUMA family now, this has been so great for his confidence, strength & conditioning, respect for others and socially as well.

I go to JFIT class three times a week and it’s never the same workout! Jason is a great instructor who loves fitness. He encourages and supports everyone in the class, regardless of their fitness level. The people who attend class are fun and laid back and there are always lots of laughs. I started with a free trial class- now I’m a regular!

NUMA is the best of the best. The Sensei’s are top notch and all of them are so amazing at engaging the younger kid’s especially. The owner Jason has top notch credentials in addition to his amazing connection with kids of all ages, while teaching discipline and respect they always do it will having lots of fun and laughs. Highly recommend Judo at NUMA, for all ages!

NUMA Judo and JFit is such an amazing place. They have a program for everyone. My children attend and I have watched this program change their lives. The atmosphere is so welcoming and inviting. The Sensei and Management team are so knowledgeable and professional and so incredible with the kids. Not only does NUMA teach outstanding technique in Judo but they also teach respect, courage, pride, honour, and focus. It is also the best exercise for them. My kids LOVE going to NUMA and we love being apart of this amazing team. Highly recommend NUMA Judo and JFit to everyone. NUMA is a wonderful place and we’ve made some wonderful friendships since joining NUMA. NUMA even has this coach potato eager to join the fun.

Sensei Jadon knows how to get a class moving and sweaty in no time!

Instructors are very welcoming and great with children in general, and children with disabilities. My child has some significant neurodivergence but does very well in this class. I think he has found his sport.
