Super helpful and patient staff! I got two baby rats who are the absolute sweetest! I will say that one of them was so so little when I first adopted them, she was able to escape the cage I first had for them by slipping through the bars. Twice! I got a better suited cage for them and she's since grown a bit so no worries now, but I do wonder if they should be adopting out such teeny babies? Maybe let them grow a little bit first?

i never review places for anything but i just have to give it to Aryic for being a great help with selecting a new pet ! he was super helpful and funny and definitely convincing aha . great customer service overall and i’m sublimely happy with my new fancy crested gecko !!!

This petsmart is run horribly. Management is a complete joke. My partner worked at this location for around 3 months. The animals are not well taken care of. Example no food, no water, mouldy moss in reptile enclosures. hamster and guinea pig cages disgusting not changed for multiple days. They lost a pacfrog that went missing for two months and was found in a tank starving with no food and water. The frog had to be force fed or he wouldn't eat and eventually died a month or so after being found. Then when you complain about the animals not being taken care of you get gas lit and told everything is fine. They mainly hire collage students who will not open their mouths about any issues. I'm not writing this review as an angry partner of an ex employee. I'm happy she left this toxic work eveniorment and can find a place that values her work ethic. I just want people to take into consideration how this place takes care of the animals before giving them your money.

I was looking to adopt a rat that had health issues not buy it so she could have a home. I waited for weeks calling in every week to checkup on her health and see if the original owners wanted her back. the staff I spoke to kept telling me that as long as the original owners didn’t want her back I could take her. Now after I called days after they said they would contact me I was told that though the original owners didn’t want her a staff member had taken her home because it was against policy to sell a pet with health issues. I told them I wanted to adopt her not buy her and I was led on for weeks about a pet that I would never get. I just hate that I was told different things by every employee and basically lied to for weeks and let down eventually hearing she was taken by an employee to adopt out when I wanted her and was told I could have her if the original owners fell through which they did. Overall really disappointed and frustrated.

Read if you're thinking about adopting a hamster! Love coming here for supplies for my hamster! the only thing I'd say is they need to upgrade their small pets habitats. Syrian hamsters need 12 inch wheels and the ones they have are 7 inches. 7 inch wheels will cause back bending and back injuries. They also aren't supposed to put hamsters in pairs. They are territorial animals and shouldn't be kept in pairs. This goes for dwarf hamsters aswell. Also they put way too much food in the bowls aswell as no enrichment for the hamsters. If you're going to buy a cage from here, you'll spend way more then if you bought a bin for 40$ and made a bin cage. Hamsters need 420 sq of unbroken floor space which you won't find any cage that size in pets stores. Also they need atleast 9-10 inches of bedding. Please watch Victoria raechel on YouTube if you're thinking of getting a hamster. Nonetheless this is a great store that does have some good quality item's, but they definitely need to research more on proper animal care and upgrade their products and habitats for the hamsters and other small pets.

Always friendly, clean store! We have a German Shepherd mix. That breed has a sensitive stomach. We buy our food there and our dog loves the food and his stomach has settled. Will try to post a pic of the food we buy. Great rewards if you register. An employee, perhaps the manager, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with respect to my dog's health needs. I will post the random pics I took of dog food storage containers and later a pic of the dog food we buy.

All the fish I get from here die. Morally the rule is an inch per gallon and Pet Smart doesn’t follow that rule causing the fish stress and harm. Employees know nothing about fish and give people terrible advice that ends up in a fish disaster. I’ve had an employee whack my fish off the side of the tank inside the net.

I like the variety of cat food available here. Prices are average, but I accumulate a lot of points over the course of the year. I don't normally seek staff assistance so I can't comment on that. I do find that even when lines are long, they are quick.

Cody (if I remember his name correctly) was super helpful, friendly and a good spirited employee. He went above and beyond to help me! Overall a great experience in your store. I’ll be back.

We went here to get a soft sided travel kennel for our small dog. It was a good deal at 30% off. This store was very well organized and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. There was an excellent selection of all items, from treats to toys. Our dog even got a treat when we went through the check out.

Our go-to place for parrot food, treats and toys. Never have to worry about there being no Nutriberries, pellets or other staples, which happens a lot at PetValue. Big toy selection with frequent sales for a few dollars off.

Petsmart always does an outstanding groom job on our Cockapoo. They are truly the best and have been since our dog was very young. Trustworthy caring and good service is what Petsmart is, in my opinion. Lots of good people who love their jobs, work here. Steve G.

Lots of different items for all kinds of pets. Always coming out with new seasonal items, which I love. The staff are helpful and nice. There's starting to be a wider selection for animals other than dogs, which I think is great

I was searching for cat toys. The store has a good selection of toys. I bought a thick and very furry toy mouse for my cat. She loves it. The store also has has packages of chicken and fish that the cat can lick the substance out of the tube while you squeeze it for them. Nice bonding experience for you and your cat.

Went in with my 8 week old kitten (Dream) the day I adopted him to get everything I needed to be a good kitten mommy. Was immediately surrounded by employees eager to help me get everything my little Dream needed. Thank you for the excellent service!

I love petsmart. Friendly staff who are not afraid to chat to customers. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Most prices are reasonable. Large variety of everything

I have to say it’s not a good choice to buy a pet here, I’m saying this from my experience, comparing the budgies and guinea pigs and fish we bought from breeders or aquariums. Dry goods are ok, but the quality of pets are not what they supposed to be. The two budgies never want to come to people. I spent two years training them, now they only come to me when I have food on my hand. The two guinea pig too, so intimidated and never let me touch them until one passed away, I had to sent the other one to a rescue because he was so lonely. Then I got my conure from a breeder, she’s like a family, always stays with us from day one. And the fish I got from an aquarium is also high quality, so happy seeing me approaching. Speaking of price, I don’t think pet smart is cheaper, but not better quality. Anyone serious about getting a pet or into a hobby should consider go to a specialty store or a breeder, but not big chain stores.

Prices are a bit high but the selection, although slightly overwhelming, is second to none..not as much Canadian product as I'd like. I'd use it for specialty items and staff were helpful.

Not as expensive as other trendy pet places but they don't have enough cashiers. Watched 2 staff walk by on the phone while 1 sat in office on computer meanwhile there was 5 people in line. I always take a cart now as a bag of dog food gets heavy while waiting.
