We had an epic day! Such friendly and positive staff who took their time to teach our kids the surfing basics! The instructors were genuinely happy to see the kids succeed and the smiles on the kids faces was priceless! Awesome rates, great gear, beautiful beach and perfect waves! Thank you for making our first surfing experience so great! We will be back!

We had a truly excellent experience with East Coast Surf School, our instructors were so friendly and knowledgeable. We were a group of 8 and even though there were many of us, our instructors worked hard to make sure each of us got lots of help and attention. We had a great time continuing to surf after our instructors left us at the end of the lesson, most of us were surfing for the first time and it was the best way to get introduced to surfing in a safe and *really* fun environment.

Last week we brought my sister and her family (husband w 3 children) to East Coast Surf School in Lawrencetown and it was hands down, the highlight of the summer. Visiting from Ontario, they had little expectations and now, they want to come back in August "just to surf!" Adam and Ben were our instructors and they were excellent, especially with the children. If you're in NS and thinking of surfing or trying it for the first time, East Coast Surf School is the place to go! It's worth every penny. We were only there for an afternoon and yet we created memories to last a lifetime.

The guys at East Coast Surf School were amazing. I took a large group and we got everyone suited up, prepped and after a little land lesson, we were in the water in no time. Friendly, knowledgeable and stoked. Thank you to Nico and the entire team.

We had such a great time taking a beginner lesson here! Super easy to check in, get the gear and walk to the beach. Great instructors who have really helpful pointers! Loved that we were able to keep the boards until 5:30 to keep practicing. Very reasonable prices for the gear rental, lesson and extra time too

Had the best experience with the east coast surf school! Everyone was welcoming and friendly! Spectacular instructors as well, they will have you up standing and riding a wave in no time! Very knowledgeable and really care about the clients having a fun day! Best surf experience I have had in the world and would recommend this place to everyone!!

We had a blast! Seb was our instructor and was very friendly and informative. It’s a pretty good deal since you rent the equipment for the day. Just a short trip from downtown Halifax. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling from out of town. Make sure you bring sunscreen and plenty of water and snacks!

I recently rented surf equipment from East Coast Surf School, and can honestly say it was a 5-star experience from start to finish. They found the perfect board for me, and the customer service was amazing. Special shout out to Turner for being a super-nice, super-cool liaison. I'll be back!

Such a nice experience!!! The team there is really sweet and helpful. I truly recommend Marley as an instructor. She was soooo sweet and had good teaching skills as well as some nice tips!!! I truly recommend this place, make the small detour its so worth it!

Went today and took a lesson. Our instructor Andrew was awesome. He was patient and knowledgeable about the beach. The equipment was in great condition. Overall a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try surfing.

Best in town! This was our 3rd summer surfing with these guys and once again they did not disappoint! Super friendly, encouraging, and overall another great experience. If you’re travelling to NS and want to learn to surf I’d highly suggest these guys as your guides!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to this amazing group of people! The staff are my heroes! My child had the best week at their summer camp and couldn’t wait to go back each day. His self confidence went through the roof and he couldn’t feel more proud of the skills he gained. Highly recommend, I’d give it ten stars if I could!!

Great place! They rented me free boots and a free leash even when I wasn’t renting anything else that day, awesome service, great boards, great suits, very chill very nice! 10/10 highly recommend!

My daughter and niece have done this camp for two summers now and they love it. The instructors are great, and the kids come away with loads of confidence and stoke! They are already talking about next year.
