My husband and I have been on the search for good quality Indian food since we moved to Halifax a year ago. This place is AMAZING! By far the best Indian food we've tried in the city. The food was so fresh, excellent flavours and good portion sizes. The owner was also really warm and friendly. I would highly recommend!

Ate here for the first time and we loved it. Very delicious food. The quantity is really good. Food is fresh. The staff is very friendly. We were looking for such a place where meat and eggs are not served amd this place is just the right one. Enjoyed eating here. I'll visit regularly. Recommended💯💯

The worst food I’ve ever had. I ordered it online, food felt like it was 3-4 days old, I couldn’t even eat it, complete wastage of money. I am not sure if it is management or workers or both, that are involved in this scam, but regardless of whoever it is, i hope food authorities shut this place down asap, this can’t go for long. P.S this is second time that has happened to me.

Heavily Overpriced!!! I ordered a burger worth 16.10$!!!! Bcz that was the only thing they had! Burgers and wraps. The ambience of that place is poor. ( foul smell and overly hyped). I would recommend Passage to India over this. Not worth the experience.

Ordered Spring Rolls, Fried Momos which were great and loved eating Baingan Bharta with Paratha after so long which was awesome. My kid had Veg Manchurian and chowmein noodles, he enjoyed every bit of it. All this for 70 and couple of boxes to take home as well. Cherry on the cake was a welcome drink, Hot tea on arrival during winters, that too complimentary 😊

Absolutely amazing, best Momos I've had in Halifax so far! Staff is super nice, prices are great, food is DELICIOUS, and very filling/great portions.I called them 2 mins before when they were closing and they still accepted my order with a smile. Much much appreciated. Will be back for sure

We hosted a Birthday dinner party with Delhi Delight in Halifax. Excellent and on time service and delicious food as well. Polite and courteous staff. Mr. Sanjay himself is very cooperative and has helped made the event a success. The food itself was absolutely delicious - everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted incredible. Guests were raving about the quality and variety of the dishes. Would 100% recommend their services.

I was on a walk on the hunt for somewhere new and their sign said Indian and Thai so this was it: Food: I ordered the chicken vindaloo which was spiced amazingly. I also liked that their dishes just came with the rice instead of it being an add on. I also added their regular Naan and I couldn't stop eating so that's always a good sign. Service: Relaxed and super nice. Everything was prompt and they checked on me at perfect intervals. I say give it a try... I was eyeing up more on the menu!

Now they start south Indian dishes like idly, vada, Dosa and vegetable biryani.... Good choice for south indian breakfast keeppp...

I’ve had lunch from Delhi Delight twice and each time was delicious! So far I’ve ordered the Hakka Noodles and the Chole Chawal, both were very tasty. Looking forward to my next visit!

Cold food and poor service. We did a order for pickup. The guy forget to give the fries. When went back to get the fries. They were very cold. No extra ketchup and waited 10 minutes extra even after it was said it is ready.

Ordered Chinese thali mild spicy via uber eats. Good food but, God, i died due to spice level. Was no way near mild spicy. Felt like eating schezwan sauce right out of bottle, couldn’t finish the food. Luckily the rasgulla saved me💀

I ordered a veg thali and chole bhature, but the entire order was disappointing. The sabzis were stale and emitted an unpleasant odor, seeming like three-day-old food. The chapatti was notably subpar, resembling week-old quality. This experience left me extremely dissatisfied, prompting my first negative review for a restaurant. Disappointing overall.

They dont have proper menu but accepts doordash orders. They just want ti make the delivery drivers wait and cant even provide the order on time. What is use of lying to the doordash support? Please respect others time and value their word. Least management. 5-7 minutes? I came to the store twice!! U mentioned the support that it was ready and waiting for the driver to pick it up. They didnt even start cooking food after me coming second time. Also, how can someone make a thalli in 5-6 mins? What are you serving? Be straight forward in answering instead of blessing me with peace and piece

I ordered a burger and noodles and it was so bad that I can say this was my worst experience with food. Their burger was cold and hard , I couldn’t eat that and their noodles were very sour in taste and was also smelling bad and there was just one taste coming that was of soya sauce. I highly say don’t eat anything there, they serve bad and old food.

Sanjay and his team at Delhi Delight have brought the flavours and taste of Indian Veg food to Halifax. My husband ordered Alu tikki chaat and I ordered Schezwan rice and manchurian gravy. The manchurian balls were very well made and the gravy was very flavourful. The schezwan rice was very tasty. The alu tikki chaat was bursting with flavour. Sanjay even happily customized it for my husband. The chutney used for the aloo tikki chaat was absolutely delicious. Loved the food and service. The quantity of all the food served was more than enough for 2 people.

Food was really awesome. Great taste. The owner is very friendly and understands the needs of the customers and customize the food accordingly. Chefs are great, one of the best indo chinese i had, I ordered food catering. It was really nicely presented.

Sweet family owned restaurant! They prepare delicious food with love 💕 I and my husband had an amazing experience with their food and service! Definitely going back. They take a lot of care in hygiene and cleanliness and make sure you are comfortable and if you liked the food!

We just had a lunch here . Maharaja burger, samosa , Manchurian and mint lemonade It was delicious and fresh. Its best food in Halifax 11 out of 10. Everybody must try once. We will definitely come back. Thank you so much guys for best service.

I wish I had negative level of rating. Having read positive reviews online, today we have got ourselves chowmein. We also had a conversation and was told it would be Indian style, guess they never had the Indian Chowmein before. It is the worst chowmein(noodles) I ever had. We ordered both chicken and veg chowmein. The chicken in the chicken chowmein gives some kind of weird smell and haven't cooked properly and the chowmein is also not at all cooked. Will never suggest this place to anyone nor will be visiting again. I wish they can serve food worth the price they charge.

Placed a big order for a party, it was ready on time, everything was 10/10 delicious. The leftovers made a great lunch, and the folks there are very friendly. Can't wait to order again!

My favourite Indian food in the city! The people are beyond helpful and take the time to explain what the dish entails. The portions are huge and so flavourful. The butter chicken masala is amazing!

Posted April 2023: Dear The Feast, I love your Indian Cuisine. It is the best in Halifax. However, the last 3 times I have attempted to order from you I have experienced issues as you were 1) closed on Sunday; 2) Suddenly unavailable on Uber Eats; 3) otherwise would not accept my online order. Tonight, on a Friday, I would love to order your delicious Indian. But after 30 minutes online attempting to order, am making my own Indian food at home, which is almost as good!!! Get your Sh*^%^ together online. You have pretty much lost our business!!! Posted January 2023: Since moving to Halifax 1.5 years ago my husband and I have been diligently sampling the Asian food choices weekly. We lived in Australia for 14 years and miss the quality of Asian food to which we became accustomed. We have concluded that this is the best Indian in Halifax. Portion size is large, meals are full of succulent meats, and it is delicious. Other Indian meals have paled in comparison. This venue is a little confusing as it serves both Thai (Bangkok Bang) and Indian (Delhi Delight). The Thai is fine, and better than most in Halifax, but it is the Indian that is truly stellar. Perhaps a focus on the Indian would increase their recognition. Venue is a little bland. We order Indian takeout from this restaurant at least every two weeks.

We normally order takeout from this place but we tried their buffet recently. 15$ for 1 person, the buffet consist of 9 dishes and 1 tea and 1 rose syrup water, 1 meat dish and 3 veggie dishes, for staples they have plain rice, veggie fried rice veggie fried noodles and naan also have 1 dessert. Service is awkward, my salad was served with the person ‘s bare hand(not sure if he’s the owner but he touched his bag and a lot of stuff before serving me the salad, he could have got a salad tong but I guess it’s too much work for him?)salad is sliced onions and sliced cucumbers, you can go for refill but he said he has to serve the refill because of covid but by the time we went back to get more he’s not there.. (he’s the only person in the restaurant besides customers) food wise the veggie pakoras are great, love the yogurt dressing and Naan, fried rice is great too. Not sure if i’ll be back but worth trying it if you haven’t already!

There was a bit of a mixup with our dining reservations, but I immediately forgot about that as soon as the food touched my lips. The samosa chat starter was insanely good. Every bite brought new flavours and textures. For my main, I tried the shahi chicken, which turned out to be similar to butter chicken, but creamier(!) and with more layered flavours. I will definitely be back.
