If you think of Korean food then you have to start at Busan. Always smiling staff and quick service. Lot of options to choose from including a gluten free options. The food is packed with flavors and served with many side dishes. Reasonably priced food in great quantity.

I came here twice and all of 2 times were exceptional. I love their Dak Gangjeong with their deep fried tteobokki, but a bit prefer their sweet&spicy to sweet&soy. But overall, both of them are so good. Kimchi fried rice was so good too. Price are affordable 👍🏻 Servers are so nice and friendly. The only thing stopped me going there everyday is it’s kinda too far from my place so every time I’m craving for tteobokki, I have to travel an hour on bus lol (Just kidding haha). I’m really obsessed with this place. Definitely recommend my friends and family to come there and try some authentic Korean cuisines. Also, they offer 10% for take-out orders 😉😉

Best Korean BBQ experience we've had! The selection of food is exciting and the quality is unmatched. Their vegetables and side dishes make for many delicious combinations. We were very pleased with the speed of service and also blown away with hospitality. We have not had a better server at any establishment ever. Our mistake was not getting her name! We couldn't finish our servings due to our appetites today but were free to take it home and our server went above and beyond to make sure it would stay fresh for the trip. So glad to have made a visit to this establishment. It will be our new spot from now on!

I have heard such great things about Busan Korean BBQ on Quinpool. We didn’t get BBQ this time but went with some lunch specials and a few add-ons to try. Service was quick, pleasant and efficient. The price was very reasonable. The food was the show stopper. The Spicy Pork Bone Ramen had great flavour with bouncy firm noodles. Just the right amount of spice. The Tteokbokki was sweet and spicy. The sauce was a used for dipping Gyoza and Kimchi Pancake. The pancake is a must try if you go. Absolutely delicious. Todays lunch made 3 new regular customers.

Delicious Korean food and friendly staff all at a fair price. The portion sizes are huge and while there are limited advertised vegetarian options, just ask! I got the japchae with tofu instead of beef. The kimchi pancakes were delicious.

Order this noddle but seems like not cleaned bowl. It’s obviously from last time use…the waitress forgot one of my order and they never asked me how is everything. I need to call them to give me three plates to share seafood pancake, fork for my toddler son and my bill…how can I give them tips..

Food was amazing! We ordered hot pot and Koren BBQ good for 3 people. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend 👌 the servers are friendly as well. The place could use some renovation but other than that the experience was great.

I’m not an expert on Korean food but was with someone who had some experience who confirmed this place is very good. We dined a little late in the evening so it wasn’t as busy, however, the service was excellent. We ordered the BBQ combo2 and it was excellent. Good portions, lots of variety, and everything was delicious. Also a fun dining experience with cooking our own on the grill.

This place is on FIRE..It was our first time Korean BBQ and the servers explained us about how to make it and eat it with different combinations. The taste and service was awesome to the satisfaction. They have a great choice of dishes besides BBQ. We had a noodle soup, pancake and BBQ and everything was awesome. Will surely visit next time.

Terrible service! We went in and ordered a 2 person Korean BBQ with 2 different meats, veggies, and lettuce. They brought out our food, and only gave 1 set of tongs, so we had to ask for second pair, as you shouldn't use tongs to pick up raw meat on your cooked meat/veggies. There was no apology or any words said when asked. They give very little veggies ... they gave us 6 pieces of onion, 2 pieces of peppers and 2 other types of veggies and 1 piece of zucchini, and 1 piece of sweet potato that was completely rotten. Which having been here prior was a disappointment as they usually gave lots of veggies. The waitress never brought us water and no way to ask, as they only pay attention to other Asian customers, so if you aren't Asian don't expect any customer service (this has nothing to do with race but rather an observation of the other tables around us and the poor serive we were blatenly given). The waitress grabbed the empty plates off our table as fast as she could without muttering a word, and not once asked how our food was. We then waited 15 minutes for our bill with a cleared table. Will not be back, and suggest going to a different Korean BBQ! EDIT: As per their response you can see this place is absolutely disgusting! It is not listed anywhere that we could recieve more vegetables nor were told about it. As well, if they believe that 1 pair of tongs used for raw meat, as well as vegetables and cooked meat is acceptable, I can't begin to comprehend the horrors in their kitchen. It also states in the menu they are suppose to tell you when the meat is cooked (most likely for food safety measures and it has to occur) and they did not come back to tell us, not that I'd trust their judgment based on there other DISGUSTING standards. Do not eat here, and we have reported this establishment to food safety Nova soctia as this is a disgrace...

Highly recommended! Best soup I've had in a while. Their Gomtang was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it: had a clean taste. Everthing we ordered were good. We'll definitely come there to eat again when we're back in Halifax.

I was craving some Korean bbq, found this place on google and visited Halifax specially for this restaurant and it happened to be the best discovery I made. I was super impressed with their staff who always came to you with a smile on their face, their service was impressive, always checking in on you, the quality of the food was just outstanding and not to forget the taste , I was so impressed with my first time here that I went in again for lunch the next day , I HAD TO!!! The Korean bbq for one was the perfect size ; not too much and not too less. All the meat was fresh and welll seasoned. The miso soup was so warm and comforting. It came with so many side dishes ( Banchan is what they call it)which were so incredible, you can tell that a lot of love and effort is put into everything nuthatch is served at your table. The next day for lunch I had to try their special and famous pork bone soup, OH MY GOODNESS, I sat there devouring the pork bone for nearly an hour, and the best part-they have private booths so I could save myself the embarrassment while licking my fingers, it was so soft and tender and full of flavor , I am so going back again, the owners were so kind too , she offered me a free grape drink and I would definitely recommend this place, if you want good authentic Korean food , this is the place, I promise you won’t be disappointed ❤️

This place is awesome!!! I got bulgogi take out one night and then went in for dine in a few weeks later. Huge portions and the food is sooo good! The staff were nice and everything was worth the price we paid for. I would go here again and again

It was good, food was great let's start there. Unfortunately we were seated by the kitchen and constantly had a door opening against our table, the service was good when we initially arrived, it felt kind of like they forgot they put us there though throughout the meal. Also the change that they used to give you the little full bottle of soju & now gives you about half of the little bottle for the same price in a glass. It's not a big deal, the food is still great but with that change I won't be buying drinks there anymore.

Busan is one of my favourite affordable restaurants. Service is good, reasonable prices and food is overall good. One can get 10 percent off if you pay in cash which more restaurants should do. I did not give a 5 star this time like before. The spicy chicken, as an example use to be one of our favorites, the chicken seems to be precooked and overcooked. The chicken pieces are very dry now compared to to the first few times. However overall it is still one of our favourite places to eat.

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
