The food was amazing. Everything is cooked I the moment. The service was great, very attentive and nice. It tastes and feels homemade, absolutely recommended.

Our first experience dining-in to a restaurant in 2+ years of traveling through Canada during the pandemic. Everything was perfect— appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Relaxing after the meal with a pot of moroccan mint tea? Bliss. Wonderful people and service as well. Looking forward to eating here again before we leave Halifax!

Very authentic and friendly. Our meals were so incredibly flavourful (especially the salads and the lamb) and beautifully presented - also a nice selection of wine. Definitely the best Moroccan food in town.

I absolutely adore this exotic dining experience! The wait staff was more than nice to us. They explained what was in each dish so you know exactly what you are getting. Highly recommend the Moroccan salad. The lamb shank was also delicious.

First time here and loved it. From the moment we walked in we were greeted very friendly and taken upstairs to our table. Cozy spot with great atmosphere, helpful server and delicious food. Nice to have this option in downtown Halifax. Definitely coming back !

I got to enjoy the taste of Morocco after a year in Canada, everything tasted like home, the couscous tasted homemade, and the service was great and the staff are very kind. The prices were very reasonable for the quality they offered. Will definitely be back soon!!

Casablanca Moroccan Cuisine in Halifax is a must-visit! As someone with Moroccan lineage, their traditional kefta tajine with warm bread, homemade tomato sauce, and amazing black olives was more than just a meal – it was a connection to my roots. I even felt like I was having a family reunion with each bite! The warm, hospitable service and gorgeous decor, reminiscent of my Moroccan aunt's home, made the experience even more special. And here's the kicker – they've got a knack for repurposing. I mean, who knew Babouche slippers could double as planters (see photo)? It's like they're saying, "We'll take care of your taste buds and your home decor needs all in one go." Whether you're a fan of Moroccan cuisine or just looking for a memorable dining experience, Casablanca Moroccan Cuisine won't disappoint!

Fantastic Moroccan food. The atmosphere, food, decor etc. were all very authentic - Exactly like the food my Moroccan family makes. Very cozy vibe. The lamb couscous was delicious and was a very generous serving size. The pastilla was very good as well, but not the best for sharing with the table - just order it for yourself :) Don't forget to get Moroccan tea (and make sure you get it with sugar!)

My partner and I LOVE coming here. The food is delicious and the staff is always so friendly. The Moroccan burger is my absolute favourite, but everything else I’ve tried from Casa Blanca has left me saying “yum” whenever I have a bite. If you haven’t tried Casa Blanca yet, you’re missing out!

Casablanca provides the aromas and flavors of Morocco in a very comfortable dining room. Our lunch included a savory Lamb Tagine and a vegetarian couscous. Wonderful.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casablanca Restaurant in Halifax, and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted and immediately felt a welcoming ambiance that set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The menu at Casablanca Restaurant offers a delectable variety of Moroccan dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. Each dish was prepared with utmost care and expertise, showcasing the rich flavors and aromatic spices that are characteristic of Moroccan cuisine. I had the pleasure of trying their lamb 🐑 tagine, and it was a true masterpiece. The tender meat, perfectly cooked, and the blend of spices created a symphony of flavors that left me wanting more. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that every bite was a satisfying and fulfilling experience. The service at Casablanca Restaurant was impeccable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions I had, making me feel well taken care of throughout my dining experience. Thank you, Casablanca Restaurant, for providing such a memorable dining experience!

Excellent authentic food and very nice and friendly staff! The chef also met us personally, great service! The place is a little bit tight, but the hospitality and the food are amazing! Great addition to Halifax Downtown for sure!

I usually eat here all the time, great deals and food clearly prepared with care. Whoever was working today around lunch time did not prepare the food properly. It was the only other thing I ate today so I know for certain that the reason I was sick out of nowhere was probably due to the quality of the meat. My girlfriend couldn’t finish hers because she tasted something odd, but to me it looked fine enough because I don’t believe in wasting food. Either your staff aren’t washing their hands, or your workers today didn’t cook the Moroccan burger ground beef properly. Been very ill, throwing up alongside a huge headache, unable to put anything in my stomach since around 3. Now at 11pm I’m still not feeling much better. I know I didn’t catch anything from anyone else 1) because I haven’t left the house in weeks and 2) I haven’t been exposed to anyone else who was sick. Please be more careful in the future, I love coming to this place so it was a huge disappointment for me having worked in professional food service myself I always respected the quality. But today Someone messed up. I’d encourage management to look into it, because I know from working in a kitchen that if this happened to anyone else it could be very bad for you as a business. Happy holidays

We got the chicken pastilla and lamb shank tagine with confit apricots, almonds and couscous. Service was nice (only one server was working and he had to deal with the entire restaurant). They provide bread and olives as part of dinner. The lamb shank was wonderfully cooked and the apricots with almond were very flavourful, a sweetness that I don't normally eat with lamb which worked very well! The pastilla was a very interesting combination of sweet and savory, the filo pastry was very crisp and the filling had multiple layers and notes of cinnamon, herb cooked chicken, and almond. It was a bit dryer in texture which we assume is the normal method to prepare the dish; make sure you have a beverage on hand. Overall a wonderful little resto that offers an excellent introduction to morrocan cuisine.

This place is amazing, the food is incredible. The staff is amazing and I got a chance to speak to the owner who is absolutely one of the most caring kind hearted people that takes pride in the cuisine, service and overall experience. The tea is a must have with or after any meal. The fries though a source of debate are unbelievably amazing. One of if not the best unique cuisine restaurants in all of Halifax maybe even the east coast. We also came in just a little before closing time and they never rushed us and gave us time to finish and fully enjoy the meal. Warning: not a lot of vegetarian/vegan options but the few that are there are amazing.

I ordered the salad to start and the couscous chicken dish. Both were incredible; the salad was actually three different types and both has unique and delicious flavours unlike anything I’ve had before. The chicken couscous was a savoury meal that included several type of veggies. It was a lot of food so I was able to take it home for dinner the next day! The service was extremely friendly and went through each course with me and my partner because it was our first time experiencing Moroccan food. We will definitely be back soon!

The restaurant decor isn’t the best, HOWEVER, the food… omg, it was absolutely delicious! The pastilla was wow. We had never tried it and it was amazing. The couscous and tajin were also fabulous. The service was excellent! We’ll come back 😄.

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
