Yesterday was my first time trying this place out. I dropped-in for a small pizza and met and chatted with the owners while my pizza was cooking. The owners were amazing, friendly and super-nice to chat with. When I arrived home, I opened-up the box and immediately was super excited by the visual appeal of this perfectly made pie. They say you eat with your eyes, well I was in love before even taking one bite. After keeping it warm in the oven a few minutes while setting-up my usual routine, I was finally experiencing a pizza that I am accustomed to being a MTL native. I highly recommend The Big Wedge. Their prices are affordable and unlike chain pizza joints, they are generous with the toppings.

This is a pretty great place! We wandered in after a walk around the neighborhood. The seating area is pretty reasonable for a slice a bite and a walk out the door. Service was quick and nice! The pizza itself. As the name suggests it's a big wedge. Really big especially considering the combo deal $5 for a slice and a canned drink. It's literally 1/4 of the pizza they make, it's so big it spills out of the plate! Along with its large size it is a great slice of pizza. The dough is soft but the base is nice and crunchy, it's fluffy and light! The sauce is deliciously garlic-ee! The basic slice we got was a pepperoni with bits of bacon on it and. The pepperoni was distributed well and the bacon was sprinkled on! The cheese was nicely spread and browned nicely! Overall highly recommend.

Have been our takeout pizza of choice for more than a decade. The family owners are kind and capable, and the pizza is delicious.

5/5 because this place is brilliant. Moved here a year ago and it has taken me a long time to scope out the pizza scene and I'm happy to report that this pizza is LEGIT. The venue might be underwhelming but the pizza is overwhelmingly delicious.

Super friendly service and an excellent pie. I had a custom order and it was reasonably priced and made fairly quick. Quality ingredients.

This is, HANDS DOWN, the BEST donair and pizza spot in Halifax. We found it by accident, and am I ever glad we did! I’m kind of speechless right now. We got a medium pizza, Bubba Donair sub and 20 chicken wings. We will be back repeatedly! Thank you for such amazing food!

Was looking for donairs while visiting the city of their invention and came across this place. The donair was very meaty, with onions and diced tomatoes. Found it a bit odd that there wasn't an option to pick your own toppings, or to switch sweet sauce for garlic sauce, but that seems to be the way they do donairs in Halifax! The place seems to be family owned, and the owner was very nice to us. Would definitely try the pizza next time as they seem to be famous for it.

First time ordering last nite. Home run on our 2 pizzas that were gobbled up very quickly! Everyone from the phone call to the delivery was super nice and friendly. We were so happy with our pizza and will be frequent customers now!

Not the same no more,very thin sliced toppings and minimal.Once was fav place in north end.

Got take out pizza and garlic fingers. Even when it cooled off it tasted great. Froze and reheated a week later and it was as good as when I got it.

Before we moved out of town, the big wedge was our spot for pizza. Loads of toppings, great crust and good service. So when we moved back in the area we were excited to order some wedge pizza. Well not sure if they changed owners or what but we were not impressed. The dough was under cooked, there was almost no toppings. Delivery was fast.

I've eaten pizza from Pizza hut, King of Donair, Jesse's and Domino's. This beats them all. The pizza here is amazing. I can't recommend enough.
