Fast friendly service, good place for a classic breakfast, cheap.

I've usually been more of a Jenny's person and never really thought much about Lady Hammond Grill (probably because Chebucto Inn gave me pause) but it's pretty solid and less tired than Jenny's. Only had the burger but it was solid. Small place. Cozy. I'll go back for brunch, which I hear is great.

I’m sorry to leave this review The service was nice (she messed up the order , but was polite) But the food….. We only came here for the pan fried haddock But what a disappointment, the fish was super salty, fries worse than mcdonalds, liver with onions was super suspicious (thankfully was for the dog) We had the worse stomach ache. Do yourselves a favour and eat somewhere else!

1000/10 will order again. Ive been really sick lately and my fiancé was taking good care of me so I wanted to get an omelette that i was craving and eggs benedict for him. I asked them to write "will you marry me" because even though im already engaged he works 12 hour shifts so i figured itd be really special. It made my day that they actually wrote it and I'm super excited to see his reaction! I ordered an omelette as well and it was just what my tummy needed!

Friendly grill. We were made to feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious and large portions 😃. Mushroom and and cheese omelet and a lumberjack with eggs over easy. Will definitely recommend this place.

Lovely place, friendly people, great priced food. Even the kids ate everything! And there's a friendly dog that greets you too! Try the cheesecake! Yum. X

I'd give here a 3.5 I've been coming here off & on for breakfast with the same friend for a few years, almost always on a weekday. The staff have been very good, remembering our orders exactly, chatting with friendly banter. Nov 2023: Tried the Western breakfast skillet (adding green pepper), and was pleased it's now offered on weekdays. It used to be only on the weekend brunch menu. New staff working, who was fine and apologized that our wait would be longer because of a large group that was ahead of us. No complaints about the service. Curious if this place is now popular for large groups, because if so, we won't have time to come on weekdays before work. Prices have always been on the lower end, recently increased like everywhere else. We used to get breakfast for two for under $30 with tip. Now it is closer to $45. Still cheaper than many other places. Vibe: simple, homey, cosy, popular with the locals and military crowd I find. Free parking in the lot as this is in the Chebucto Inn Motel. Sometimes there may only be one or two spots left, but each visit we've still always been able to get one of these spots between 7 and 7:30am.

Always on the lookout for another diner to experience. I think this has been around forever but it's the first time I've been there with my partner. I had the hot hamburger sandwich with gravy and she had the breaded chicken fingers and fries. I really enjoyed the hot hamburger. I always do and I'm always looking for something done a little bit differently but this was straight up regularbas I recall. My partner thought the chicken fingers were quite okay but found the breading to be too heavy. Very nice, friendly, personable server. I think we should return and try something different.

Friendly service. The fish cakes and the corned-beef hash are excellent breakfast options...the later are particularly tasty. The food is consistently well prepared. Not the greatest coffee in the world, but one's cup is filled and refilled. A very satisfying, pasual place

Love this place. It is a perfect neighbourhood restaurant. Great prices and home-style food, cooked well, and the owners are a delight and on site every day. Part of the Chebucto Inn, it open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nothing fancy, but a good atmosphere, clean and relaxing.

Pork Belly dish was amazing! Cocktail of the night was "Gin & Juice", Also fantastic! It tasted like being on the patio, and wanting another!

I had a very good breakfast at a great price with very efficient and friendly service. The atmosphere is clean, cozy, and inviting. I will return to The Lady Hammond grill for another meal, in the future.

The service was great which is always important to me. I appreciated the cleanliness and the food was good. I wish they had had the eggs Benny but it is only served over the weekend. This makes sense for the size of the restaurant but I did not know it ahead of time. I would return for a nice quiet meal for sure.

I've been going here for years but it has declined big time. TL/DR: terrible service, insane prices, stupid policy updates. I walked down for breakfast this morning. I ordered the same $8.99 breakfast I always did, classic breakfast with extra home fries instead of eggs. I was told no substitutions were allowed - eggs cost way more than potatoes so that makes zero sense. To order the toast, home fries, and sausage without eggs would cost $14.50! So I ordered coffee and white toast - the toast was barely buttered basically dry, I didn't even eat the second slice. Despite being there for 40 minutes we weren't even offered a single coffee top-up. We watched EVERY other customer get their coffee top-up - three employees in a mostly empty restaurant and not one offer. We were handed our bill, we were two friends who would have paid separately. My friend ended up paying my bill to avoid further annoyance. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner on my way out and he shrugged me off, accepted our payment, and said the waiter was new. On three occasions in the past week, I sent visiting family members to this place for a "good classic" breakfast. I hope they had a better experience than me.
