TSUJIRI Halifax

Restaurant Japanese restaurant

👍👍 It’s a great place where you can have authentic Japanese food with Japanese ambience. The staff were always friendly and kind. They are willing to help you pick a better option. Everything related to matcha is specialized in their way, which is very similar to authentic Japanese matcha. What I reall... People often mention matcha, good, staff, kind,

True Japanese dessert cafe. Need to experience it. Ramen was a bit pricey but the soup was not too oily nor salty. Make-you-feel-good healthy comfort food. Just the portion could be bigger. The green tea was surprisingly good. Nicely steeped and deep flavour. Went so well with the desserts 🧁

Went for Asian Food Festival. Dango was chewy and came in three flavours with a cup of brown sugar syrup on the side. Tonkotsu soba was rich and creamy with fatty chashu. The matcha sakura latte was delicate and not too sweet. I'm not usually a fan of heady floral flavours but this was lighter than other sakura drinks I've had. I really wanted to try the sakura foam matcha but unfortunately it wasn't available; neither was the matcha mousse cake.

Amazing to have such a high profile tea house from Japan in Halifax. The interior is large with lots of seating. There is a kitchen in the back where they bake and prepare items for sale. Friendly staff and lots of food items to choose from. If you haven't tried Tsujiri, you absolutely have to. I recommend the hojicha latte (my goto) and the matcha rolls.

Dessert is delicious! The environment is nice too and it opens late. It seems pretty new and I really like the seats. It feels relaxing sitting in the comfortable chair and read, with the public garden right across the street

I’m personally not a fan of matcha but I ordered 3 non-matcha things and they were great. The tea is a bit overpriced (and kind of weak) but the tonkotsu soba is so good (rich, creamy, flavourful). I also enjoyed the tea flavoured pudding.

Very good place, not for sugar-teethed people as the desserts are not very sweet - which I understand may actually be an advantage to many customers! Very nive atmosphere and kind service.

I ate here during my visit in Halifax. The food was delicious but the quality of the eel need to be improved as it has lots of bones compare to the eel from other restaurant. I have the noodle and it was good. I also have a piece of dessert which is not bad. I recommend to eat here when visit halifax.

Excellent ice cream! The atmosphere and staff are super great too. Limited flavours but I got the one with coconut in it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My girl got some kind of shaved ice thing and she really liked it too. I highly recommend trying this place.

The place is right by downtown and has an amazing ambience around it. It’s very clean and modern looking, making it an ideal location to meet your friends or spend some time alone. They serve a handful of matcha inspired delectables that are worth trying! I’d recommend their matcha-yuzu drink. The staff are also very friendly and responds promptly.

I tried matcha stuff for the first time, it's bitter and have some different taste. I tried to enjoy but if bitter is not ur kind then it's not for you. I tried matcha ice cream and latte.

Cozy and warm place in one the busiest part of the city! So close to the public garden and a good place to enjoy watching the area! The service is very good and the staff are so friendly. And as always the quality of matcha products are very good!

Love loved their greentea or matcha! Whether ice cream or the tea and their mochi, yummy! One of our go to place whenever we visit Halifax! If you are a matcha lover, you will love this place. They now have food and shaved ice desserts on their menu.

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
