Happy Plate serves a number of dishes with a focus in breakfast, lunch or brunch with filipino dishes. I have attached pictures of its menu. I would recommend their lomi in the filipino dishes section. Lomi is basically a filipino version of ramen. it is filled with egg, fried pork belly and fried siomai. It is served with chicharap(prawn crakers) or chicharon(pork grinds). It is a big serving for $15.99 so make sure you have the room. I have attached a photo of the meal below. Make sure you add pepper and soy sauce in your lomi to get that full Filipino experience :)

We tried Happy Plate today and were so satisfied by the Filipino breakfasts. Seriously, cleaned both plates entirely, not even one grain of garlic rice left over. The decor was bright, funny & great conversation starters. Music was fun and upbeat. Staff were very friendly, service was fast, prices are great. Couldn't be happier! We'll be back!

The Happy Plate Restaurant serves a whole variety of cuisine from pizza to burgers to western breakfast and even Filipino food. I tried the tapsilog and the meat was cooked well and it came with rice, 2 eggs, and a simple vegetable salad. The rice was long grained rice which was an interesting choice for an Filipino dish. There are plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking.

Bait and switch. Received a coupon in the mail earlier in the week and presented it to the server. She informed me it expired, although there was no date on it. She then confirmed this with the manager after I advised her that I just received it this week. As far as I'm concerned, the coupon is only meant to bring people into the restaurant and nothing more.

We have eaten here several times and since my wife is a Filipino and she caters too she wouldn't eat here if the food wasn't good tasting. I usually have their all day breakfast because their dishes taste good to me. We usually go to it for a late lunch. My opinion is the foods pretty good and not too expensive for what you get.

This restaurant is INCREDIBLE. I've never had Filipino cuisine before, and this food is genuinely some of the best food I've ever had. I ordered "Soup combo 1" which includes congee, tokwat baboy, buchi and a drink. The soup (congee) is a beef broth base with rice and chives. It is hot (temperature), incredibly flavourful and so comforting. The tokwat baboy is a dish with crispy pork and tofu in a soy/sesame sauce with onions and chives. When I say crispy I mean TO PERFECTION. It had a beautiful crust on it with a juicy, flavourful interior. The buchi is a rice ball of sorts with a bean paste inside and a sesame seed crust. It leaned towards a sweet and was a lovely thing to enjoy my coffee! My coffee was also excellent. They brought me a tall cup brimming with a rich blend. The food came fast, fresh, and steaming. The atmosphere and service have a very down-to-earth, local family restaurant feel. Overall this hole-in-the-wall place in Fairview, Halifax is to die for.

Excellent food and service...great Filipino restaurant in the city. There are other traditional Canadian options for those who desire those. I had dinner combo 1...pancit was tasty...the meal was fantastic! I am going back to try their Filipino breakfast. The owners and the staff are very friendly...check this place out!

Good, simple, quick, inexpensive. Exactly what you expect from a Diner. I'm updating on account of the expanded Filipino menu - the Filipino food (especially Filipino breakfast) is really good and not super common around Halifax. So it's a good place for standard diner food, or to change it up a bit with some Filipino food.

I'm obsessed with their authentic Filipino food like sisig, lomi at papaitan :) haha! Food always served fresh and warm. Two different menus that caters to different taste buds!

Overpriced. Ordered delivery sisig for over $20, not fresh and authentic at all, rice is dry and hard i can only have the eggs

We had the Crispy Chicken Burgers and Crispy Wonton Balls. Everything was hot, very fresh and I was surprised how the spice from the chicken wasn't overwhelming but really tasty. Even the Caesar Side Salads and Fries were more than we expected. The prices are right on the mark for quality food. We'll be ordering again for sure.

Authentic Filipino silog. The egg perfectly cooked I just wish they use different part of chicken.

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
