My new favorite brunch in town!!! Elegant fusion of Caribbean and French cuisine, the owner Elias was absolutely the most amazing host I’ve seen. He really got to know all the guests and made appropriate recommendations before we ordered. He also treated us to banana bread and mango punch on the house. The bacon and chicken was so juicy on top of freshly made waffles. And I absolutely adore the sweet and savory taste with the pineapple slices and mango syrup. The mild spicy sauce also worked so well with waffle. It’s a shame that we were too full to try the Pain Perdu that Elias so strongly suggested as the best dessert. We would need to go back for more!

Elias was incredibly nice and made us feel like we were guests in his home, even calling us by name throughout the meal. He took time to explain the items on the menu and was very chatty throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious and a nice change from standard breakfast fare, as there are options with a Caribbean/French twist. Good sized portions and he even gave us a couple little treats on the house. Breakfast served all day was also a bonus, as we got a late start to our day. If you’re looking for a super quick diner experience, this isn’t your place. Take some to sit and enjoy your meal and chat with the owner and other patrons.

I had a great experience at this place. The owner told us how he started this place. He had us try his special sauce and the french toast dessert which tasted delicious. The food tasted great and is worth the price and service. The interior is beautiful and clean. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a good dining experience.

We stopped in for the last day of Burger Week to try the Jerk Chicken Burger and also had the Croissant Sandwich. Amazing service and amazing food! The owner was very nice and helpful, went above and beyond! Highly recommend and will be returning.

Im visiting from Ontario and checked out this fantastic Resturant. The carrot cake was delicious with a cream cheese topping. Fantastic jerk chicken not too spicy and the mango / chocolate drizzle added added an interesting change to a traditiona Caribbean meal. The ox tail served with rice and peas and I decided to add curry potatoes. Absolutely perfectly cooked. Plenty of ox tail gravy on side. Finally the beef patty and fried plantain were fantastic with his “sweet and sassy sauce” of you are looking for authentic Caribbean spices with a unique depiction of the chef try this place out. I would highly recommend this place. Duane

Fantastic hidden gem. Eggs Benny was superb, made my “Top 3 Lifetime” list. Owner is a passionate Restauranteur, true credit to the industry. Fantastic service and attention to detail. Hidden dining room out back with seating for larger groups makes it great spot for small to large size events. You won’t be disappointed.

Go check it out guys! One of my favourite restaurants in Halifax! If you like creative cuisines mixed with Caribbean, Lebanon and French flavours, you can’t miss it! Roti is my top ONE choice, Owner Elias is friendly and patient, he explains everything on the menu, no worries if you don’t know Caribbean food like me!

Truly remarkable. What amazing food ( I had the jerk chicken and waffles for breakfast) and a very attentive, informative, and charming owner. It’s a little outside of downtown but I really must encourage everybody to visit this restaurant. The ambience is amazing and service is out of this world. You won’t regret it.

Caribbean Bliss & Breakfast Cafe is a delightful gem that I had the pleasure of visiting during a recent trip to the area. As someone from Trinidad and Tobago, the allure of Caribbean flavors and ambiance is always near and dear to my heart, and Caribbean Bliss did not disappoint in that regard. The atmosphere of this establishment is simply wonderful. The seating space is beautifully designed, offering a warm and inviting Caribbean vibe that immediately puts you in a relaxed state of mind. The fusion of vibrant colors, tropical decor, and soothing island tunes sets the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. For breakfast, Caribbean Bliss doesn't offer the typical, authentic Caribbean dishes you might expect, but they cleverly incorporate a hint of Caribbean cuisine into their menu. I couldn't resist trying the Roti Breakfast, a unique twist on Trinidad's authentic Dhalpuri. Imagine Dhalpuri stuffed with breakfast favorites like eggs, cheese, bacon, and sausage. This fusion might sound unusual for a Caribbean person, but let me tell you, it was a delightful surprise. The flavors blended seamlessly, and the result was a delicious and satisfying dish that left me craving for more. I also ventured into Jamaican territory with their Chicken and Waffles, a dish that is not traditionally Caribbean but was a delightful departure from the norm. The flavors were outstanding, and the portion size was generous. But the real showstopper at Caribbean Bliss & Breakfast Cafe is their dessert menu. The chocolate strawberry-infused cheesecake is a must-try. It's not only incredibly light but also bursting with flavor. It's the perfect sweet treat to end your meal on a high note. Let's not forget their Mango Fruit Punch, a tropical delight that's so refreshing, it's like sipping on a piece of paradise. I highly recommend giving it a try. In addition to their breakfast offerings, Caribbean Bliss also offers a variety of Jamaican-style cuisine like Oxtail and more, adding to the diversity of their menu. Caribbean Bliss & Breakfast Cafe is a unique dining experience that successfully blends Caribbean elements with traditional breakfast fare. The fusion of flavors and the warm, welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit spot. If you're in the area, don't miss out on the opportunity to savor the Caribbean-inspired dishes and indulge in the scrumptious desserts. I can confidently say that you'll love it just as much as I did.

Unfortunately I've lived near this place for the last 6 years and I've only recently decided to try it out. Food is amazing. My wife really loves the Gluten Free options.

One of the BEST breakfasts I’ve ever had! (We had the “Sweet & Sassy” croissant and Breakfast Jerk Chicken & Waffles). Great food, cute atmosphere, fantastic service, top notch flavours! We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic gem of a place. The food was absolutely delicious and so flavourful. Owner is extremely friendly, took the time to explain both menus and his mango drink is out of this world. Will definitely be returning the next time we are in Halifax.

Stumbled into Caribbean Bliss this morning and was welcomed with the warmest greeting and most fantastic food! Really low key spot in the north end and totally worth the stop. Service was so friendly as we learned the story behind the business and the passion going into the food. THIS is what real cooking tastes like. The menu is small and yet curated in a way that caters to all tastes. The flavours of Caribbean cuisine come together with French food and a touch of Lebanese background. Everything is so well done, fresh and a delicious balance of sweet with a Caribbean kick. The sweet and sassy breakfast croissant was delicious and the Benedict was perfect! The wedges that come on the side are also amazing. Just overall a great dining experience doing something a little different in Halifax. Worth the stop! Will be back to try some of the sweet breakfast options and desserts!

Drove around Halifax looking for a place to eat somewhere that I actually might like today and stumbled into this place. Typically I prefer quality over quantity which harder and harder to find. However this place was both a good quantity and the food was amazing. Typically my rule of thumb is that I don't eat something I can make myself. If I order out, I want it to be something good. I definitely can't make the food here. This place was so much better then I anticipated. This little spot was everything I expected all restaurants to be in Halifax when I moved here. It's not abnormal for me to leave half a plate, be disappointed with at least something on my plate or be the last one to finish if I do, (actually that's typical) not today. This place is a gem and you can tell that things here are made with heart and a desire to make something good.

A neighbourhood gem since 2009, and one of our our favourite places to eat - be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Owner Eli is personable, loves people, and is rightly proud of the food he serves. If you're into cookie cutter chain restaurants, this is probably not for you. If you're looking for an authentic experience and great food, this it it. You'll be back, and probably make some new friends there. Highly recommended.

What a place, wow! I personally loved it. What an interior and service, really professional and beautiful. I would say this is one of the hidden gems in HRM. If you really wants to explore new areas then I would say must visit this place. This is operated by owner himself, he’s really kind and his hospitality is very good. I would say support local and help them to grow.

We happened to stumble on this restaurant by happenstance finding it on Google. We were not disappointed. The chef was incredibly hospitable, warm and friendly. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and made sure we enjoyed our meal. The jerk chicken and jerk pork were delicious. But a special mention for the mango cheesecake, which as promised, was incredible. Highly recommended!

The food is so authentic, delicious and reasonable in cost. You know Eli loves to cook as the passion comes out in his food. You are made to feel like family and treated like royalty. If you have not tried ox tail, goat or jerk chicken then it's a must!!!

Elias is an absolute gem. My sister and I came to Halifax for the first time and Elias made us feel so welcome. We got an excellent guide through the menu and a delicious gluten free banana bread to sample with our espresso while we waited for our choices. I got the gluten free option for the chicken and waffles and the taste and texture was stellar. We can't wait to visit again.

tried this place with my mum after having overheard the name from a friend; it was a bit tricky to find, as it was tucked amongst houses but imagine it’s a neighbourhood gem to those close by. Elias, the owner and cook, was delightful and hospitable, and was happy to tell us about the place and how he also stumbled upon it. we ordered coffees, which were lovely (I’m not a coffee drinker usually), and then ordered brunch: chicken & waffles, and the rotisserie which both came with a selection of condiments, which we though was the most unique and perfect touch. the jerk sauce was much milder than we expected but the mango salsa was bold and flavourful. the food was quite a long wait (in total we were there 2h, but did have lots of chats with Elias), but we were seated in the back and couldn’t be sure if there were lots of walk-ins being served, and we were comfortable and not in a rush. as we got ready to leave, Elias excitedly surprised us with a favourite of his: pain perdu, which he makes traditionally, and was terrific. we didn’t have dessert in mind, but it was perfect. we look forward to trying again, during lunch. we were told many people order food to take to the nearby parks which sounds very worth doing! Thank you again Elias!

The name of this restaurant is very misleading as the food is not Caribbean. I visited and was so disappointed to realize that it is an experimental take on Caribbean fusion at best. Trinidadian roti is not usually served with mozzarella, maple bacon, hollandaise sauce or items like peanut butter and jam! I found it really problematic that the restaurant is called Caribbean Bliss when the authenticity of the food is not there and the staff themselves are not Caribbean. It would be the equivalent of going to an Italian restaurant called “Italian Bliss” and finding linguine served with madras, butter chicken, and paneer. It’s fine to do fusion but change the restaurant name and make it clear it is a modern take on culinary fusion. I’m surprised the place has such high reviews. If you’re looking for authentic Caribbean food, it’s worth going somewhere that is respectful of the rich history and culture of the Caribbean.

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
