I had all the time for this one . It’s a really great place for a first experience but the security manager is stupid and sexist. Because I threatened to write a bad review of her bad service from the night before she wouldn’t let me in the following weekend. Because she didn’t see a girl throw a drink at me it didn’t happen . for someone new to the city the security manager left a bad impression on this bar, there needs to be better security leads or people who know what they are actually doing . I’m sure I won’t get to see inside when she’s there but all the same I had to sign in to let you all know her service and attitude is beyond horrible . The head manager should look to hiring some one more professional and not as rude as she was The other security staff were pleasant and helpful , she how ever was absolutely not ! I’ll follow up

Many food items and beverages were not available and the staff didn't know until after trying to order. Service was slow and in the end we were overcharged. The food we were able to order was okay but nothing that makes it stand out. After chatting with the owner I have updated this to 3 stars and will give them another try. They truly care about your dining experience and want you to enjoy your time with them.

We went there several times already. Today, my bf and I went there to watch a basketball game. They were very nice and helped us change the channel. Our first server was very nice and friendly, but when they changed to a different server, they totally forgot about us lol. But we still love their food and atmosphere. I had a mushroom cheddar burger w fries and my bf got a guacamole wrap and sweet potato fries. We both love it! The burger was juicy and super filling, and the fries were crunchy and tasty! Will definitely go back again to enjoy their cheap beer and food.

Service was awesome, vibe as expected for a "sports bar". But darn I wish I didn't feel like peeing in the middle of a ski hill. Those bathrooms are FREEZING! Edit: Thank you for the answer! You guys definitely rock! To add something on top, we went again and got wings - darn those are SOO GOOD! Another score for you, Pint!

I've visited several times, service is consistently slow and poor, especially with larger groups. On my last visit, I left my credit card with the bartender to run a tab. The bartender gave my credit card to a random person, somehow without clearing the tab. The card has not been recovered. I've called several times, they do not answer the phone.

Came here for brunch with a group, and when I was ordering, our server didn’t know that the menu had a choice of fries or a salad with the item I ordered (they told me it only came with fries so I had to show them that there was a salad option). This was no biggie, however, our server said that the food would take 20-30 minutes but we received our food over an hour later. For these reasons, we decided we were going to pass on the tip. When my friend paid, our server took the receipt over to another worker and after chatting, she came back over to us. She then held the receipt in front of my friend and said “there was an issue with the transaction” followed by “you skipped the tip”. She then proceeded to ask why he did not tip her. He explained that the food took over an hour and she simply said that was not her fault. This was extremely unprofessional in my opinion, and due to this questioning I felt pressured to tip since she came to me for payment right after this incident. She was super friendly toward me since I tipped but when she gave the wing cards to my friends she just chucked them on the table and left. I saw her seemingly gossiping with another server after this as well while pointing at our table. The whole attitude and incident seemed extremely unprofessional and also uncalled for as we are mainly college students who do not have a lot of extra cash. In this economy it is not okay to be questioning customers (especially with a bad attitude/tone) on why they did not tip. It made us all very uncomfortable. My friend also tried calling twice to discuss this with a manager with no response. Edit: Just to clarify, the whole reason we went was because it was free wing card day, so just because we got what we came for (free wing cards) does not mean that a negative review is not warranted. It also does not make my review “mean spirited”.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Disgusting treatment of a queer entertainer during pride. They use our movement for their own profit. NOT a safe space for queer people. I will never return and honestly will tell everyone I know to never return. Absolutely vile. Can't wait to hear what local queer charity you're going to donate all your profits to, or is your pride party only to benefit the straights? 🤢

Went here on Saturday to watch two of the NFL games. Our server Jenna was probably the best server we've ever had. Would definitely return

Great place to grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks, amazing service and great music, with the pubcade downstairs and the rooftop patio uptop makes this great place even better

Superb rooftop pub with great food and outstanding service! Military Discount on food only, prices are still great without. Excellent outdoor deck above the street. Always a pleasure!

Meh, just plain meh. Long wait times to place order, get drinks, place food order and get food. Fish was overdone. Considering the price of things I'd expect more. The Bro playing 90s cover tunes on an accoustic was piped into the speakers around the pub so loud you couldn't think let alone talk to anyone. I'm here again for brunch. Been here an hour and had one cup of coffee. (No sugar available) took half an hour to even place a food order. Served a drink in this lovely cracked glass as well. Safe!

The pint is by far the best spot to go for a casual drink in Halifax. The food, the music, the DRINKS, and the general vibe all meld together to create the perfect pub environment. A special shout out goes to Dylan and Jason, two bartenders who elevated our experience from a 10 to an 11!

love the pint!! it's a great place to go for drinks and music any day of the week and they have the best wing night too. the staff are the best, allison the bouncer (i think she might be the head bouncer?) is always nice to me and my friends and does a good job at controlling the crowd outside, makes me feel safe at the pint!

Came here to watch the Buffalo Bills game tonight and we had a great time. Our bartender Bridget was amazing!!! Peach was awesome too! Great “cheap Monday” deals! Awesome poutine and immaculate vibes. Definitely come here if you’re in the area.

I don’t write reviews, but I just had to mention I’ve never had a better weekend than I did The Pint. Service was all around great I couldn’t specify that any more, hell even the bouncers were a delight to talk to and did their jobs great. I watched one laugh with a guy while kicking him out for being too drunk. Zero aggression all laughs that’s what we love to see. I’d like to refer Mr. Braden and Mr. Dan as the most positive people in there that night. Aside from that, the servers were a delight, of course there was an issue with food coming out a little late, but it still tasted great, and looked great. The servers were super patient with me, as I was with quite a crew and we were all asking too many questions. Got the Big Sexy for the laughs, but it turned out to be a delicious burger that I will get again. Thank you Pint!

Ventured into here once I saw a stunning miral above the restaurant and was so glad I did. Watched the leafs win AGAIN and practically book their ticket to the cup! I think the bartenders name was Jay (hoping I remembered correctly) who took amazing care of my wife and I and recommended some great local beers along with some new menu items. The short rib grilled cheese is to die for by the way! 10/10 recommended

Had the pleasure of visiting this quaint pub as part of a business trip. We visited around noon but the place was still relatively quiet. Ordered lunch and we were well taken care of. Two people looked after us and they weren't overbearing or were they not available when we needed them. The food is excellent. The red beer selection was also good. Seems like a great place for friends to hang out and is centrally located. Tip : check the listing is for whatever they have on special for the day you visit.

Warm watery beer, terrible non-existent service, overpriced greasy food. Just a really bad place to eat and drink. The only selling point is the patio, but you wait so long to get served by the inexperienced staff that you are better off just going to the anywhere else.

While the Pint is not one of my personal favourite spots, I get what it’s going for. Each time I have visited The Pint the service has always been great. For typical university bar the selection of beer is good. The food menu is standard pub-bar food. Their Wing night is awesome, and of great value. I’m never blown away when I come here, but I’m never disappointed.

Visited on a Wednesday for wings and beverages. Although the place was busy, it does not excuse the wait time. After being seated we waited 15 minutes before a server provided us with a menu. We ordered on the spot as we expected her return to take just as long. It was another 30 minutes before our beverages arrived and our wings took approximately one hour before being served. We were watching the other orders coming from the kitchen and the only items leaving were wings with the exception of the occasional burger. Also, there were not a lot of orders departing the kitchen, and this is where the establishment is falling short. However, the wings were cooked for an appropriate amount of time, served hot, and had sufficient sauce. I would recommend visiting this place for wings, but only if it is not busy.

Awesome place. Was packed, but our waitress was over to us within 2 minutes, and had our drinks maybe 3 minutes after we ordered them. We both had fish and chips, amazing. Next time we are in town it will be our first stop. Atmosphere was laid back, everyone was happy, and the place was very clean

Food was very good - we tried beef nachos, club sandwich, chicken fingers, pint rings, cheese sticks and Mongolian bbq wings. No complaints with the food. The place itself is very dark, even sitting in the window at 3 in the afternoon. It made it feel a bit dirty.

My burger was decent, but my husband's fish and chips were abysmal. The fish batter started out tasting like nothing, and then after a few seconds of chewing, changed to the taste of burnt popcorn. The tartar sauce was basically mayo, and the coleslaw side tasted like butter. The aoli that came with mine (on the side thankfully) was greasy. Maybe there are good items on the menu, but we won't be back to try and find them.

Rooftop patio was a total vibe. Great drink prices, drink specials were also good. Would absolutely come again for drinks, food was meh. Had the tacos and they were very dry and took awhile to get to us but had a great time. Recommend going later on in the night, it got a lot cozier after the sun went down.

A buddy and myself tried going there for a quick pint on Friday September, 24th. Despite no line up at the moment, the doorman told us it'll be 1.5 hours. We laughed thinking he was just kidding with us till he looked at us with a straight face. He also refused a small handful of folks who were all together as well just after us. However, he began to let others in right after that. I guess it's the doorman who decides who comes to give them business and who doesn't so we decided to go to Loose Canon right across the street who happily let us in for a drink with a great doorman and friendly servers. Go there instead of The Pint

Great atmosphere, super busy place. Food was good. Reasonably priced and beer is a great price. Waitresses were not on top of their areas and had to wait a long time to get served. Bouncers were also unnecessarily aggressive to people there.

I really wanted to like this place , the vibe was nice but we had an unfortunate experience with the service. It took so long to order, then our appetizer was messed up and the main dish was cold. We also didn’t have any water to drink and no ustensiles.

Our server Ian was super personable and despite a full patio made himself available, checked on us frequently. The patio had a great view, the high walls also helped to cut out some of the harbour front wind. If I had any gripe at all it was that the breaded fish was slightly over done, a little dry, but the poutine with it was delicious. Had a great little outing here. Recommend the potato skins!

Went there during burger week and Wednesday wings night. Wings were decent. But burgers were great!!! It’s busy so wait time was LONG, but super friendly staff and waiter made it durable.

The Pint gives you what you would expect. Classic pub style, regular live music, and good food. I add only one caveat/warning: they add the tip to your bill for you. Be cautious when paying up, or you will end up tipping twice. I just feel that they should inform you if they plan to do that. I really enjoy the place and will be back, but I'll be checking my bill closely next time around.

Service is usually slow and it always looks like the staff are overwhelmed but whatever not a big deal, I don't mind waiting. However, last night our server was extremely rude to me and my friend. Service was slow, it was virtually impossible to get a hold of her. Mind you it wasn't as busy as they are usually. At one point she was actively avoiding our table, we were never rude to her asked politely to have our food exchanged since we got plain wings instead of the flavour we ordered. They "fixed" the order, basically just sprinkled some spices on top of the wings, I guess...because it still tasted plain and they sent back the same basket with bones from the wings we tried before realizing it was the plain ones on the platen. Didn't bother to exchange it or make a new order. We wanted to send the order back and she snapped at us and very rudely asked "well what do you want me to do, take it off your bill?" Well yes, that would be the standard thing to do since we didn't get what we ordered and didn't eat it right? She then proceeded to get even ruder and when we realised my friend was still was being charged for the wings he didn't eat, she again rudely responded "well you have to tell me that, you didn't tell me." We told you as soon as we saw it was on the bill we asked you very politely to remove it. She then came back and proceeded to slam down the receipts on the table and had the nerve to confront me for not tipping. Hmm maybe i would've tipped if you weren't rude to us, served us on time or even got our orders right. Very entitled and rude server, I've never been treated like this at a restaurant. Judging by the other reviews it looks like it's a common occurrence.

In the days of inflation, overpriced meals and drinks are abundant. Never a big fan of sports bars but this one stands out with it's fantastic food. More local ingredients and dishes than most of the "Halogonian" tourist traps around. Do yourself a favour and try their damn chowder.

Got fish and chips tonight. The fish was very good. Super crispy and fresh but the potatoes need to be washed for the fries because a lot of my fries tasted very dirty. Everything else was great

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
