Great local beer selection both on tap and I cans. Highly recommended!

Jesus F! The food here was amazing. Fast service to boot! So many options on tap but it doesn’t matter because the food was so good. Come here if you can!

Good beer but still left with a bad taste in my mouth from the card machine that forces an 18% tip (on top of tax, so 25%+) with no option to enter a custom amount or go back, to pass a couple of beers over the bar. Just pay your staff a proper wage and integrate it into the price instead of using underhanded methods to subsidize apparently poor wages. Edit - owner advises there is a custom tip option. Either the server skipped it or the terminal had it turned off today, because there absolutely was not, and there are no physical back or cancel buttons. Source: have provided tech support with credit card terminals for many years.

I saw this place on Canada's 100 Best Bars and was extremely impressed. The ambiance is incredible and the level of detail is super cool! The bartender displayed excellent product knowledge and delivered excellent service. My partner and I had a few pints of amazing beer. We also ordered the Tokyo fries and two fish sandwiches. I was completely blown away by how delicious the food was. The atari mayo that comes with the fries is indescribably delicious and the fish sandwiches were divine. Even the bun was perfect! 100% would recommend this place to anybody and everybody

Great atmosphere, staff and beer. The arcade downstairs is small but very well designed. The flights of beer are perfect for trying the many different kinds of beer on tap. Food is very well done. Teriyaki fries, yum!

Food was fantastic. Our son ordered pizza fries. We weren't expecting much but they were the big winner. He had to share more than he wanted. You order from the bar. Huge selection of tap beers. Turkey club, fried chicken and Tokyo fries were all very good

Such a cool experience! Never have I had food like that which still moved around (the Okonomaki Fries had shaved sushi tuna that was so thin they moved around due to the heat). To top it off, they tasted fantastic! Wings were also great with the freshest blue cheese dressing I have ever had. Can't go wrong with this place; was an excellently pleasant surprise.

My favourite place to go in Halifax! Great rotating craft beer list, amazing food (diner burger can’t be beat) and great vibe with friendly staff.

Service brought us stuff but wasn't outgoing or friendly in any way. Smaller but accessible beer menu, sorta' salty food. Not the best Stillwell in town.

Great beers, service very friendly. Almost rated 4 stars overall because it was very noisy. Also kind of cramped with austere industrial style decor. But overall very enjoyable.Just don't expect to be able to hold a conversation.

Super cool vibe, definitely was a place to go for an eclectic selection of craft beer.

Great beers. Nice selection of Stillwell and other breweries. Being from Toronto, I was happy to see a Bellwoods sour on tap as a good sour is hard to find in Nova Scotia. Food is a bit expensive for what it is but beers are reasonably priced for the quality.

Classy with a cool vibe and delicious house ales. They have the full spectrum on tap which includes other craft brews and their own Stillwell named ones (they are damn good). Very friendly bartender is the cherry on top. Did not have food so no rating for that.

Great beer and interesting menu. Bartenders always nice. Usually tough to find a seat, busy and layout is a bit annoying.

Excellent beer selection with a passionate staff that know all the profiles and history. Only high end craft here!

Stillwell is a decent little first date spot for drinks and sharables. I liked the fries and the popcorn, and there’s a pretty good variety of beers. Halifax definitely has the best quality craft beers in Canada, I think it’s the water.

The single best beer bar in Halifax, if you have the opportunity for only one spot, check it out!

Great beer list. Tasty food. There was a thirty minute wait at 7pm on a Friday night but that is not unusual these days. A friendly server took my info at the door and texted me as soon as a table was ready. Servers were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive even on a busy night. Good beer. Cool, exposed brick decor, high ceilings. Fun.

Definitely one of my favourite places in the city. Their Chicken burgers and Tokyo fries are to die for! Always great drinks on hand as well. Highly recommend!!

I am normally a fan but, and I love that they have cask beer. I was told they would attach a call 2 weeks in a row. Then I was told they had one to attach and when I came back the next night it wasn't attached still. Don't string your guests along, either attach one or say you are no longer doing it. F****** dissatisfied for once with Stillwell.

Amazing food for Burger Week and great beer

Convenient place to grab a decent beer and snack, but god, the vibe equates to “full of themselves”. As there are little-to-no better late night options in the area, I guess they feel they’ve earned their arrogance. Some of the servers are/were really good, but the revolving door of staff has me questioning management. Love the Tokyo fries!

Dirty burger was incredible. Its a bit cramped but not a bad location. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff could of been slightly more attentive but id recommended this spot to pop in before a game or a refreshing beverage.

Great atmosphere, amazing staff, nice music and amazing tap list, with varieties that go beyond the province of Nova Scotia

Very popular place. Good place to stop by, trying a pint of their excellent local beer. Simple but perfect menu for a pub. You can stop there with your family to eat as well as taking drinks with friends. Service is excellent.

Great cozy spot that's open a little later than some others around. Small, but varied selection. Staff was friendly thought the music was so good it was hard to chat without yelling.

Fabulous beer selection! Staff are wonderful and quite knowledgeable. The food is absolutely amazing and kitchen is open until 2am!!!

Stopped in Halifax on a family trip. We were recommended this place by an employee at the museum (always ask the locals!). Great selection, great service! Sam was attentive, kind, and super helpful! We tried 3 beers and all of them were tasty! Great vibes. Cool place to stop in and hangout for a minute!

This is one of my favourite places in halifax. Great location, amazing atmosphere. The biggest downfall is the size, its just too popular for the amount of patrons wanting to visit. However always a great selection of beer and the food is exceptional

Great burgers. AMAZING beer list. Really awesome, knowledgeable staff. Honestly one of the best beer bars in Canada.

The reason I fell in-love with Stillwell years ago was because they had all the best beer from across the country, as well as imports. However, the last two times I have visited (between 2019-2021) the beer selection pretty much only included local breweries. I am not against supporting local, but this change takes away from what made Stillwell unique as there's lots of other beer places now to get local beer. Otherwise, the atmosphere and the food is still great.

This place was quite lovely. It was a little louder and all the seats are tall bar stools. Great place for a low-key date or loud night with friends. The space is small, dark and tight. The server was lovely and really hustling. I hope they get paid well for their hard work. The drink menu is long and the food menu is small specific and well executed. The food is amazing, but if you have allergies or dietary restrictions I would look at the menu before you go.

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
