The location is amazing in the heart ❤️ of spring Garden road. Parking is an issue as parking. spots are limited. Layout and decorations, the place is spacious, can fit large groups. Lots of seats and tables. The place is cozy and has some seats close to the window, which is excellent. The restaurant is on the second floor, and I did not notice that there is an elevator. Cleanliness within expectations Time to be seated, my experience on Saturday was ok. We did not have to wait. Service, the service is excellent 👌 👏 👍, employees are well knowledgeable of the ingredients. Professional dealing with customers. 😊 😃 Time to get the order was within expectations Food, rich 😋 delicious 😋 😍 and well done. Prices are $$ reasonable and affordable 👌 👍 😀 Conclusion: it is a nice place to have dinner, I will visit them again

Cheesiest and most layered nachos I've had in the city, Mac n cheese is also lavish, fettuccine is good too :) roof top patio is a must in the summer. Great classic pub with a fun twist UPDATE: returned for brunch and it was delicious. Got the eggs Benny without ham, and my friend got the fish and chips. Got orange juice and they give you a large glass!

Great breakfast! Friendly staff and service was a good speed. The home fries were super hot and the waffle was good. My boyfriend loved the breakfast sausage and he doesn't normally like those. My scrambled eggs were very bad... They didn't taste real, like they were made from liquid egg or something. They were wet and undercooked, but the rest was super!

If you are looking for good vibes in and around downtown it's your place. They have good booth seating for you sit and have nice conversation plus their staff is very attentive and quick service. I had Pad Thai the taste met standard and although the menu doesn't mention they still offer few gluten free options. They have huge screens if you are not into sports might distract you bit. Overall worth it.

Visiting Halifax from Montreal for the weekend, but i grew up in Nova Scotia and have been here years ago! I knew it had a cool rooftop patio, and suggested to my friends who were with me that were visiting from Toronto that we go here on a sunny Saturday. The food exceeded my expectations & we loved what we ate. I had the Moustache burger and it was fantastic. Our favorite part though we’re the potachos. highly recommend!

Loved this place. It was recommended to us by staff of a store we popped into and it was well worth it. In the door you walk up a flight of stairs and the restaurant is there. We chose a booth by the window and had a nice view of the street and public garden entrance. The waiter was really nice and funny. I had the blackened haddock taco with fries and it was amazing. Would love to return here to try more menu items.

You may thank your own fathers mustache after eating here. If you're choosing the fish and chip, good idea; the fish is breaded perfectly; isn't dripping in grease; and the accompanying sides compliment the fish's natural flavor. If you fancy a chicken parm, you'll be pleased to know that the chicken will be tender. The sauce and pasta has a subtle kick that shouldn't bother someone that dislikes traditionally spicy foods. 😋 Enjoy! 🥸

A Canadian Tourist Review: I was in Halifax on an 18 hour layover. I will admit we only came in here because most restaurants are closed on Mondays and the name stood out. The Potachos satisfied my Canadian cravings after being away for 8 months. It tasted really good. Reasonably priced. Friendly service. I would eat here again.

Great food and good service. Our server was very attentive. Steak was cooked to preference. Little pricy but better quality than other places.

I always have a great time here! Awesome food, attentive and kind staff, great beer and a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend the Pub Club, it was amazing as always.

One of the best burgers I've had in a while. Nice to go to a place that will actually cook their burgers medium instead of well done.

I discovered this place a year ago and I keep coming back. It’s always busy and the atmosphere is very lively. The staff are friendly and helpful and have a good knowledge of the dishes on the menu. You’re usually served very quickly. The food is tasty and I recommend the chicken wings.

Food was alright. Service was decent and not too remarkable. The seafood chowder was pretty good.

Great rooftop patio. Pretty dissapointed in the lobster Benedict, regular non- English muffin bun, and really non-delicious hollandaise sauce (lobster part was delicious of course)

Decided to stop in to grab some supper during a day out on a nice hot day. Our server was absolutely fantastic, Food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Only reason I gave a 4 on atmosphere is we were on the rooftop patio and found that there wasn't enough umbrellas and the sun was directly in my face the entire time. But that is a very minor thing and really didn't take away much from a fantastic experience

Had brunch with a side pancake. The meal was great but this poor poor pancake was flat and over cooked. I brought this to the serves attention and I declined a new pancake. Not her fault she's just the server...BUT when a complaint is made and the food not eaten, why would u charge me for this pitifull pancake???? See pic of the great meal and pitifully pancake 🥞

Went there for brunch many-a-times. It's a decent spot. I usually have the lumberjack, but have had other options as well. I do think their brunch prices have gone up in recent years. We were one of the first customers in the morning, so I think we expected everything to be freshly cooked, but I think their bacon may not have been so. Their sausages are great though, overall a very filling brunch.

Drinks were delicious. Had the razzberry lemonade and ended up getting a few. Rooftop patio was busy, but we had a shaded area which was nice because it was so hot that day! Thai chicken burger wasn't the greatest, didn't enjoy the cheese on it and it needed some seasoning but overall if you're looking for a spot to have a few drinks with friends I would recommend.

The patio was closed when we went which I was bummed about but the inside is nice too! We had the lobster roll and chicken & waffle sandwich and husband had a dirty blonde beer as well. The lobster roll was pretty decent - husband said there was a tad too much mayo/dressing that slightly overpowered the lobster meat. He had soup on the side (cream of mushroom) which was good but could've been hotter. The chicken & waffle sandwich was so good!! Chicken was juicy and crispy, Belgium waffle was toasted, bacon was a bit on the sweet side with the maple dressing but altogether balanced out really well. I chose mashed potatoes as my side and it is honestly one of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had!!! So garlicy and the gravy complimented it nicely. Couldn't stop eating the mashed potatoes...I was so full. Husband enjoyed his dirty blonde too! Our server was friendly! Great place for lunch!

Seems like an ordinary pub, until you get your food. Exceptional. Great portions and really unique flavours. Lobster mac n cheese is actually worth it (gorgeous gouda and big chunks of fresh lobster) and the pad Thai is actually creative (if a bit sweet for my palate).

Second time my husband ordered me the lobster roll to go and have it deconstructed so doesn't get soggy. Even reminding them, they forgot the celery AGAIN. This time I'm really thankful it was deconstructed so I could see that the meat was bad. Blue green in colour and could of made me really sick which would of interfered with feeding my newborn. Not impressed.

We had an amazing experience here today for lunch on the rooftop patio! Very kind helper, tasty food (both Pasta & Fish), super fresh salad, cold drinks and super clean tables! Food was ready fairy quick and it was hot enough to not get cold on rooftop of 19°C if you take your time. We got what we asked for very fast and liked the name and internal decors! If you're visiting Halifax Public Gardens, this place is right at the corner for a quick bite! The sandwiches, burger and nacho looked amazing, made me regretting not ordering one! But, Fish was very delicious and cooked perfectly! Also, the bathrooms were really clean. I strongly recommend this place to all.

If you want good pub food, look no further than YFM. I highly recommend their club sandwich! Just ask for extra napkins. I think they use the same fries as Costco which is nice because they're pretty spectacular when you're in the mood for fried food.

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
