My family and I went here tonight around 6:30pm on Halloween night as we are long time great customers and love station six. Tonight however was very different. Upon arrival we were barely greeted by the waitress Leslie. she pointed out she has mopped the floors so we were limited to where we could sit….which is completely fine except a gentleman who was at the bar asked where the washroom was and she rudely said “it’s in the spot where I mopped so I’ll have to mop behind you when you’re done” which made us feel uncomfortable going to the washroom so we didn’t…we order our food and now are the only people in the restaurant. The waitress is sitting at the bar texting and doing her hair the entire time and not asking if we needed our drinks refilled or anything, the pop was so flat it came out looking yellow instead of dark Pepsi brown. My sisters ordered a poutine and the second it hit the table it gave off an awful smell. I reached over to grab a fry and immediately spit it out. They then tried it and did the same, it smelt and tasted sour and was horrible. We have had the gravy and poutine many times and it was always delicious. After the rest of my family finished our meals (still not even once asking if we wanted refills on our waters she was again in the kitchen and walking around doing her hair and texting still) the waitress asked why the poutine was untouched and we explained it smelt and tasted rotten. She very rudely said “we’ll I just had one and it was good sooo… and just walked away” she did take 25% off the poutine, however it should have been free since it tasted so off from what we’ve had before. We go to pay and now the debit machine isn’t working, the waitress huffed and puffed and sighed a million times as we paid becuase the machine wasn’t working making us feel like an inconvenience..We ordered a Mac and cheese to go for my husband, got home and there was a hair in it…this was where I draw the line and decided to write this review. This is our last time ever going to station six from this experience. I hate to write a bad review about a local restaurant but this experience was just so upsetting.

It's a cool venue and the food is good but the service is absolutely abysmal. Not sure if it was because they were busy on trivia night, but having only 1-2 servers for a jam packed room is not cutting it. We waited over 30 minutes to even order a drink, never got a drink menu or a food menu (had to snatch it off another table). Food orders were not taken for another 30 minutes even when we asked multiple times to order dinner. Everyone at the table received their drinks (after a considerable wait) except for one and the server never even noticed. Requested a dessert menu, which never came. It was honestly unbelievable.

Had a reservation for 6, they were almost 20 minutes late which wouldn’t be a big deal if it wasn’t freezing outside. The service was extremely slow we weren’t even be able to be seated in the main room. Chairs are very uncomfortable when you have to sit in them for over 2 hours waiting for the server to come back because she disappears for about 45 minutes at a time.

Friend and I went up on the last day of burger week as the birria on the burger sounded amazing. Very lively fun space and the spices and flavor of the burger were all we hoped for a final burger. I think a lot of work went into this burger so it might not be around again but hopefully we'll see the birria in tacos or something in the future. I forgot to take a picture though. The waitress was very friendly and seemed to love working there. The apple crisp dessert was pretty good to (and home made), with a great french vanilla ice cream on top. Will be coming back for the firehouse onion rings as they were fresh out from such a busy week.

I was positive surprised that most dishes can be served gluten free as well Had gf pulled pork burger and it was really good. Will visit it again :) Table was kind of sticky. Maybe because of the disinfectant. Really- not sure why. That's why only 4 out of 5 stars

Really enjoyed our lunch here after kayaking on the lake nearby. Reasonably priced and good food.

I was here on Saturday night and it was a great experience. This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. Such a warm and welcoming environment! I loved the layout of the restaurant. The two waitresses were very friendly and great to deal with. The food was ok. I had the pull pork sandwich and it was kind of lacking in flavor along with the coleslaw. Not sure if I would order that again but I will return in the future

This place used to be so good but has gone completely downhill. The food quality used to be awesome and is now terrible. The server didn’t listen to our request and took forever to get to us. No drink refills, wrong food. Low quality food. Such a shame. They should have just raised their prices and maintained their quality.

Bring back the old menu!!! Was so disappointed to have no nachos on the menu at a pub. Waitress said they’re trying to make is fancy… it’s in spryfeild with palates for furniture. We don’t need another spinnakers, we want our delicious pub back.

A welcome spot in Spryfield. A warm spot with large screen TV's for sports. Just a about every table had plugins, handy for when your device is just about out... The menu is a good standard pub fare with a large selection of draft. Had the Fish & Chips which came out hot & fresh and were good. Definitely a place you would feel comfortable staying to take in a whole game - the seating arrangement is unique and well thought out. Courtney was a joy and provided super friendly service.

Seemed to have went downhill. I went five years ago and remember really enjoying the food. I went yesterday and it was a different story. The truffle fries tasted like they were baked in an oven (no flavour, and soggy), my friend’s smoked meat sandwich had way too much mustard, my chicken pot pie was almost tasteless (ones you can get in the frozen food aisle taste way better). On the positive, my drink was nice and the waiter was fantastic (even though she just started working there). And the Caesar salad was good

Used to come here all the time and would recommend it to anyone! Recently visited and noticed a lot of changes, not very good ones :( fries completely different, menu completely different, chicken burger completely different, etc. Every item on the menu used to be so tasty and is now cheap and below average. Sooo sad this place used to be my favourite in HRM!!

Ordered take out for my family tonight. Spin dip, firehouse chicken, smoked meat sandwich and the axe burger. Everyone enjoyed their meals and finished their plates. I had the firehouse and it was fantastic. Great combination of savoury and sweet. Will definitely order again!

I can not say enough great things about this place. The environment was great, the service was wonderful and the food was fantastic. I went with 4 of my girlfriends and we all got something different. Every dish was delicious, hot and fresh. What We loved it and will definitely be back!

Wanted to try here for a while but the food was mediocre for price. The nachos were a larger portion, although dry. The burger and fries were fine, but not very noteworthy (seemed like the burger was cooked from frozen). Our waiter was friendly and personable, but staff seemed to hang around the bar area which caused delays in getting simple pop refills on an otherwise empty night.

My husband, myself and two friends went here for dinner a couple of weeks ago. I do not recall the servers name but she came and took our order. I and my friend asked for the Captain on Duty mocktail to drink. Our drinks arrived and I had about 3 sips and started to feel off. (Now for context, I had Gastric Bypass surgery a few years back and so alcohol is a big no no and it doesn't sit well with me.. almost reacts similar to an allergy) So I felt as if I was going to pass out. I get up to go to the washroom and almost fall asleep in the bathroom. As I come back to the dining area I see my husband and friends all paying for theirs and my order. I see the receipt says that my drink was $12 so I was confused as mocktails are $5... so I go grab a drink menu and point it out to my husband that it's supposed to be $5... we bring this up to the server and she said she didn't know there was a difference. She ended up serving us Captain on Vacation which has rum in it. She also didn't ask for ID because when we ordered it was mocktails. I know she was mortified when she realized what she had done and she said the manager gave us $15 each back to compensate for what had happened... but the problem is this shouldn't have happened and what she did was dangerous. I hope she learned her lesson and won't be doing that again. I am now nervous to order mocktails again with out double checking with the server first. Beyond that the food was awesome and we loved the vibe.

Server was rude when I asked about sitting on the patio and them charged cocktail price for a moctktail, and on top of that tried to convince me mocktails were suppose to have alcohol in them? Nachos were cold

I'll start with the good, food was fantastic, service was fast and the staff was polite and approachable The eh , the side door is closest to the parking lot and had no signage so we stood around waiting for service because there's no sign to say wait to be seated or seat yourself , would definitely recommend regardless

My friends and I went to have a drink, my friend asked for a red wine and they served him a red wine that was rancid probably been opened for months and my friend is now sick constantly spitting up red possibly blood, hopefully he doesn't have serious food poisoning. On our way to ER his situation doesn't seem to be improving.

I’ve been twice now. The food isn’t all that great. I had the poutine the first time, it was VERY salty. Second time, I ordered the pulled pork it was extremely bland, as was the sauce. The waitstaff was fantastic though. All super friendly and decently quick service.

Our first time there tonight. My server Leslie was very attentive. The wings were delicious! We can’t wait to go back!

I have never had wings as delicious as the Maple Chili wings here. You could smell the Maple, good balance of sweet with little kick of spice, perfect. Wife had the pulled chicken club wrap with the beet salad, she almost wanted more. Great service, nice rustic atmosphere.

Today my work had a group of 12 reservation. We were able to order ahead, and our table was ready on arrival. The hostess/waitress was so kind. She greeted us, seated us and brought our drink orders out upon arrival. We were only seated a few minutes before our food was brought out. Not 1 order was Incorrect. Everyone got their food within minutes. The food and drinks were incredible. I highly recommend the Firehouse chicken burger. We will absolutely be planning future staff functions at this location thank you for the incredible service and delicious food!

While the food in particular was tasty and satisfying, my chowder had shrimp with the tail still attached. It was an unexpected spoonful and it made me check every bite from that point on. I had the Mushroom ravioli as a main, that was well made and flavorful a rich sauce covered everything. The bread that came with it threw me off though, panini bread. If it was supposed to be fancy or something I'm not sure, it just felt out of place on the plate. The service was average, when I pointed out the shrimp, they said they'd check what happened and never got back to me about it. The place itself feels a little dark and cold. Sitting by a wall with friends but it felt like we weren't even in a restaurant. May go back in a few months to see if anything has changed. I've heard that the menu has changed a little and that it's not as good as before.

Good beer selection, friendly service. Food is ok, nothing special but it’s one of the only decent places in the area.

Food and drink are all pretty good. The burger week burger however, that is on another level. Before I was even done eating the first burger, I wanted to come back to get it a second time (which I did) and I could almost say it was better the second time. Well done guys

Mixed drinks were lackluster (markets a basil lemon gin drink that had no basil—- just sprite lemon and gin) and their bbq sauce+ranch nachos were meh. Probably more gears to guys who wants beers.

Went for Burger Week. The burger was great but WOW the garlic parmesan fries were out of this world! The cherry on top was our server, JOHNA! She was so friendly and knowledgeable. 100% will go again.

Incredibly slow service. I can't even make this up, they served our meals but had no silverware so we had to wait for it to come out of the dishwasher before we could eat. Definitely not returning.

Went for the first time with my wife, we tried the Donair Dippers, The Works burger, and the baked Mac n Cheese. The Dippers, the burger, and the pasta were all excellent. The french fries were basic but cooked well so I loved them. The couple onion rings I tried off the burger were good but not big on flavour, maybe they'd hit different as a standalone order though. The Dippers were easily enough for 3 people to share and heckin yummy. The location is good, and the dining room is really nice. Highly recommend trying it out.

Me and my friends came by yesterday in the evening for food after a beach day,,, and we weren't expecting a lot. We try to get seating outside there wasn't any available on the account we were a party of three and there was only a six person table available which is fine. We were greeted by a woman standing in front of the door who made sure to give us awkward eye contact as we entered. Once we were seated everything took very long. It seemed to be 20 minutes for drinks 30 minutes for our drinks to get there and it felt like pulling teeth. I ordered a gin and tonic it was undrinkable. It might be the local tap water but the water tasted salty. Once our order did come around there The works Burger was very misproportionate. And the maple sauce tasted cheap.. keep in mind we weren't expecting a lot but the burger came to $20 essentially. I ordered a side piece of chicken not really understanding what that referred to. I guess it meant a boiled piece of chicken breast with a light season on it. Something that you would get out from a legion luncheon. After we were done we were stuck waiting there and the sun was coming down we really wanted to leave and even though we pleaded for our check it still took another 20 minutes we had to physically ask one of our party members to wait at the bar to try to corral the waitress over. And she said they were short staff but it didn't really seem like she was doing much of anything. We're not from the area so maybe this is normal. Maybe it was an off day. But all of our experiences were the same in this circumstance the food was poor the drinks were poor the service was for the atmosphere seem to be taken directly off of Pinterest post. I will for a fact not be coming back.

Came here for Burger week 21. The smoke show burger was great. The staff was A+, I had a great experience due to their effort. I will return again for the quality service.

So, we visited tonight for our anniversary supper. While the food was great, the service was strange. Our waitress was super kind in the beginning and suggested things for us, and then it became super long wait times and when she came to us it felt like she was rushed (it wasn’t all that busy, we saw her chatting it up with some regulars and amongst the team). Overall, will be back for take out but probably won’t sit in again!

We visited at a quiet time of day and got great service, enjoyed a drink and some lovely food. Both chicken sandwich options are awesome, and their fries are seasoned perfectly. Nice place, small and cozy!

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
