My experience here was nothing but amazing!! The staff were knowledgeable and kind. The service was speedy yet classy. The cheese biscuits were seriously the best I've had and our mains were super tasty. Our server suggested the smokehouse burger for my boyfriend and he loved every bite of it. I went with the buttered salmon and it was melt in your mouth amazing.

As a part of Dine Around Halifax event, we tried the set menu tonight. The three course meal with wine pairings was spectacular. The food at this restaurant always tastes like someone who loves food has prepared your meal. You can literally taste the care taken to make the food. Our waiter “Rob” was just the right amount of funny, charming and attentive. A fantastic dining experience for our girls weekend! Can’t wait to bring my husband for a meal. - “Kellee”

Cozy spot with a nice seasonal menu. The staff is excellent and helpful. We've had the burgers before and they're pretty tasty and worth a try, but on this visit we dipped into some other plates that were really great. They also have great NS Craft Beer and Cider on tap (and in cans) and make some delicious beer cocktails!

Never mind the delicious burgers but they have the best fries I have EVER HAD! we ordered their old school and the smokehouse and the old school was a lot better tasting bc of the cheese. I ordered the onion rings but they were a bit hard and I couldn’t finish them. Order fries because they are crispy and they have something that can’t be described that makes them crunchy and just sooo good. They beat every French fry that I have ever had! No kidding, they were that good. Come with a big appetite as the portion sizes are large! Service was top notch and the waiter we had was really personable and great.

The food was great! Tried the famous Smokehouse Burger with fries and Caramelised Scallop Spaghetti. The scallop was cooked to perfection. The pasta is cooked a little too soft. The burger with the caramelised onion and double smoke bacon is just perfect.

Good food, amazing service for sure. Little pricey but definitely worth of value in my opinion. I think they can add some salad as side with less french fries which will add some color and variance on a burger plate (or maybe can add as an option?). Draft beers were great!

Our server, John, was fabulous, from greeting and seating, straight through to wishing us goodbye as we left. The food was Incredible! The Buttermilk biscuits with molasses butter was a beautiful appetizer. I had the Kale Caesar salad with chicken and I loved EVERY BITE. Both of these paired well with the Pop shop-inspired mixed drink I had. The dessert - maple creme brûlée - I could have married that. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the music wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t have a simple conversation. 100% recommend, and will return.

We had a good time there! We got to eat outside on a nice evening and loved it there. The burger was very delicious and juicy. Well worth the value. Fries were cooked to perfection too. I’d prefer a tad bit less salt on them though, but it was very good! However, their onion rings was the best I’ve had in a while! I definitely recommend that. They also had a very friendly staff as well, frequently checking on us (and the cute pupper). Their cocktails were pretty yuck though. I don’t remember which ones we got, but I’d avoid getting any from that. As you can see, the pupper was concerned for his mom as she drank that concoction. I would just go with water and stay hydrated! Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

The Old School burguer was one of the best burguers I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned and balanced, absolutely delicious. Very likely I will be coming back here for more. The cider on rotation the Perry recommended by our server was delicious and paired very well with the burguers. Service was incredibly kind and prompt while not feeling rushed. Really enjoyed every aspect of this dinner.

My gf and I dropped in so I could pick up some lunch. We were welcomed warmly, and seated at the bar to wait for my takeaway. Jack, our server, was outstanding. Attentive, friendly, and accommodating. We had a round of 2 Crows lager while waiting, ice cold & tasty. My meal arrived promptly, and I was thrilled to finally have an Old School smashburger w/fries. Culinary perfection in a brown paper bag, imo. I will definitely be back to stay awhile. Excellent staff & a lovely atmosphere.

Great ambience, and the nicest servers I’ve ever met in Halifax! Has a good variety of drinks on offer at pretty reasonable prices too. Extremely clean unlike other bars in the area. Simply the perfect choice for a quiet drink with friends and plenty of conversation!

Visited back in April 27/23 on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing and service was great. Fantastic atmosphere and right on Barrington.

We had a large group of 20 come in for dinner which the restaurant kindly accommodated. The service was prompt and the food came out in a timely manner despite the group size. The tacos were on point, the brisket was tender and melty, the lobster mac was creamy and flavourful, and the scallops hit the spot.

First time time in Halifax and enjoyed my time at this restaurant. The burgers are great and fries are good. The drinks are on average. Little priced higher on the drinks but then again I'm from out of town. The overall atmosphere is good nothing to complain about. The waiters and waitresses are nice. Would come back in the future!

It was a blustery Halifax day, a few hours before a snow storm when we stumbled onto 2 Doors Down and decided to have an early supper. The ambiance of the restaurant is great, not overly bright, very clean, appropriate decor for a romantic night out or a lovely gathering with friends around food and wine. The food was delicious. My wife said it was one of the best gourmet burgers she's ever had. They have a fair selection of local libations to choose from at reasonable prices for this type of establishment. Our wait staff was great, Kyle in particular was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! Excellent, excellent food! Small menu but with all the meat and vegetarian and children's options covered. My wife had the pork, I had the beef, and son had the best chicken fingers ever. Staff were great, friendly and fast to seat us. Restaurant was intimate and cozy. Prices very reasonable.

Some unique menu. The price is average - high $26/ a pasta dish and $20/ a burger. Many customers we’re ordering a burger. It comes with a load of fries. But aI wish that it could come with something healthy do that you don’t have to feel sick late at night.

Yummy food, quiet atmosphere, and okay service. Was surprised to see how limited the menu was. Not a bad place to stop by for a nice dinner if you're in the mood for burgers, fries, fried foods - that kind of thing.

Great Gastropub just "two doors down" from it's parent restaurant Chives Bistro. As you would expect, given its heritage, it has a high quality inventive menu. Enjoy a cosy intimate meal in the relaxed restaurant or an informal social meal in the trendy bar. I love to go for lunch, theres always a good variety on the menu.

Agreed with the previous comment. The resto isn't on the cheap side but food is so tasty and so worth the price. And dog-friendly too! But I guess only during the times of the year when they can have the terrace open. The waiter serving us was incredibly friendly, even offered us blankets on a chilly night. Definitely recommended.

One of my favorite restaurants, anywhere. Never disappointed by the service or food. My wife and I went for the NYE fixed menu dinner and it was wonderful.

Fun, casual atmosphere and great food. Menu is small and concise, and you really can’t go wrong with any of the options, from the burgers to more formal entrees. Was also very impressed by the cocktail menu, which are also expertly crafted. Wait staff is friendly but professional. Highly recommended!

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
