Getting the shuttle was a nightmare. First room I was given had zero AC, only a tower fan that barely worked. Second room that I settled with is covered in dog hair, which wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't so allergic. It was visible on the furniture, bedside tables, in the bed and on the carpet. Bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned in a very long time. Dead bugs around the toilet along with animal hair. Needless to stay a week long stay was extremely uncomfortable but options were slim in the area.

Super expensive for what you get. The hotel wasn’t very clean, the staff was not friendly but it is very close to the airport. They advertise a shuttle to the airport, however you can’t pre book it. The shuttle is shared with the neighbouring hotel so they have no Idea if they have enough room for all of the guests that need the shuttle. I try to stay at Holiday Inns or one other major hotel chains every time I travel but I am thinking that next time I will try the neighbouring hotel.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel in preparation for my flight the next day. Check-in was a breeze, and the person that greeted us was very kind and helpful. Making arrangements to park my vehicle on site while I was away for a few days was also super easy. The room itself was very spacious and fully accessible. While we did not need the accessibility features per se, they were greatly appreciated and made getting around the room easy. The early breakfast was totally fine and help us keep going for the rest of the rest of the morning.

We called last minute to get a room when we decided we didn't want to sleep on the floor of the apartment we had been moving. The rooms were fantastic, temperature of the room was nice, not cold and not hot. Close to the airport it you land or take off at early or late nights. The front staff seemed overwhelmed as there were several people checking in at the same time. The breakfast menu was amazing, more choses that I could ever think about.

I can't believe I forgot to make a review here. When my family and I came back from China we stayed here a number of years ago. I apologize for not making the review back then. The staff was friendly and polite. We got in very late from our flight from Toronto and our room was perfect. We stayed here for several days to recuperate from the 12-hour jet lag and everything was really good. The only issue we had was the day we left we had a pretty good snowfall and it was quite stressful driving back all the way home from here during the snow but that's not the fault of the hotel

Arrived late in the evening. The 2 front desk staff who checked me in were not overly friendly, there was a third on the phone who did seem much friendlier. Got to my room and my bathroom was dirty. I mean, hair on the toilet seat and hair in the shower on the ledges. It was evident it was not properly cleaned. When I went downstairs to the front desk, I was welcomed by the friendly employee on the front desk and showed her the pictures. She said “that is absolutely disgusting”. They had no other rooms available to move me, and she came to my room to clean the bathroom. By reading other reviews, it is evident that cleanliness in the rooms has been an ongoing issue and one they seem to turn a blind eye to. It was absolutely disgusting.

I chose this hotel because I was put up here for work a few months back and it wasn’t bad. Turns out a lot can change quickly. Prices are insane at 270 a night. I was charged for the full stay before I checked in, and also a $200 hold upon checkin which I will not get back for 3-5 business days. This would be acceptable if the stay was enjoyable. We had to go on a wild goose chase to find an ice machine that worked, only the one on the 2nd floor was operational. We were staying on the 6th. The USB outlets in the room were bent and therefor unusable, aside from one. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was falling off of the wall, and the door to get in the pool was not working so we had to go to the front desk to get access. Again, usually all these problems aren’t a huge deal, however for the price we paid I expected much more. Now we’re out 650 from the stay, and 200 for the next five days all just to be disappointed with our stay.

I didn’t want to write this review, but it seems like the service at this hotel is subpar with a lack of communication and disorganization. I paid 2 months in advance through hopper for 2 queen beds. For whatever reason, I had to be moved to the hotel beside, since my original booking was not available. I was told I’d be given the same room as my original booking. This did not happen. I got charged TWICE - once when I booked in June and another time when I checked in the day of. I communicated to both hopper and the hotel multiple times asking for a refund of the original payment when I booked back in June. This amount was higher. When I finally checked my bank statement, I received a lower amount and the room rate that I had been relocated to. This issue is still not resolved as I had sent a lengthy email to both hopper and the hotel and requested the amount for an exact refund of x amount, which was the original booking. Literally scamming customers.

Nice breakfast and courteous staff. Only thing is that its away from main cities so not much food options available for dinner. Although near by Hilton has food available till 10pm. Uber eats is not serving this area yet. Skip the dishes does serve from near by pizzeria. Well anyways If you are near by airport-u r not looking for dinner. Anyways u always have a refrigerator and a microwave in your room. Overall would definitely recommend- value for money.

I like the "Park & Fly" option but I didn't care for the parking area. I hope to see it paved in the future. It was muddy! And it just didn't feel safe leaving my car there. I also wish you had a big bus or more shuttles. It was too busy for the 1 shuttle, both the morning we left & especially after we landed back in Halifax on the way home. We ended up taking a cab instead of waiting for the shuttle to come back for the 2nd load of people.

This is a mediocre airport hotel. The window blinds didn’t work. The aircon was defective and kept switching on and off. The beds, whilst comfortable enough, were difficult to get in and out of, as they are quite high. The bathroom is just adequate. I hope I’m not obliged to stay there again.

Really enjoyed our quick stay at this property before flying out! The front desk associate that greeted us was I cried my kind, friendly, and welcoming. The room was large, updated, and clean. The breakfast was well stocked and also consistently refilled. Specifically, I appreciated the attention to detail with the baby crib we requested. Not only was it in our room when we arrived (something that doesn’t always happen), it had a fitted sheet and light baby blanket. We stay at IHG properties almost exclusively, and I have been very disappointed with the lack of attention to safe child sleep practices at other properties. Not this one! This was truly an above and beyond moment. Thank you for a great stay!

My wife and I had a great experience at this Holiday Inn and Suites location. It's only a 7-minute shuttle to the airport, with a shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes. We booked our room months before with a confirmation and set price. Just a couple of weeks prior to our arrival, the room charge went through on our credit card. However, the room charge was 57 dollars higher than our reserved rate. Daniel was the gentleman who checked us in , and when I spoke to him regarding the additional charge, he was patient and heard me out, and without hesitation, apologized for the inconvenience and adjusted our rate to what was originally quoted. His customer service was excellent , professional, and quick. The next morning, checking out with Phil was equally easy, quick, and enjoyable. He re-confirmed the price adjustments that Daniel made the night before. In less than 5 days, my deposit and price adjustment refund was adjusted on my credit card. Thanks to Daniel, Phil, and Maren for their assistance, making our stay stress free at this location.

Rooms get a deduction as it took 3 try’s to get a working sofa bed. However, Parag at the front desk was very quick to get things sorted and get us in a room that worked. He even personally retrieved bed linens and made the sofa bed up for us. Very gracious and apologetic. The maintenance staff are already dealing with the broken beds.

For an airport stop off, this place is brilliant. Rooms spotless and staff very helpful. The breakfast buffet is also good, if they had a bar/restaurant it would get 7 stars! But it's still excellent.

This is the venerable pachederm of hotels--just keeps working, driven by profits when it's just not worth the amount charged... sure it's convenient to the airport and the staff is really friendly and helpful... But everything is outdated and aging faster than it's being replaced and fixed. Looking down some hallways reminded me of some scenes in The Shining. When I first looked into booking the rates were $100 cheaper, looking ahead. Book something closer to when I needed it and the price jumped!? I didn't use the indoor pool, but it looked clean. The outdoor pool was closed for the season. I wonder if the noise from the race track close by can be heard from the inside of the rooms. I could certainly hear emergency vehicles wailing down the highway! And don't even get me started on the stupid way the televisions are set up; come on Holiday Inn, this is the age of casting to smart TV's from our phones--we don't need the fodder you're offering as "entertainment"!? Once again, it's a money grab! There were no USB outlets in our room and I had to unplug an appliance just to plug in my charger (not enough outlets)! And the clock radio alarm didn't work! Beds were comfy and the sheets were clean. Plenty of towels. Looks like lots of parking. The shuttle to the airport was full and some people were left behind (runs every half hour at quarter past).

4 of us traveling from Halifax to the states so it’s always a long day of traveling. my two kids are both under 5. This hotel has an excellent executive suite with two rooms - a front living room and a back bedroom. Wasn’t a ton more than regular 2 queen room and fantastic to put our kids to bed and not have to go to bed as early. Service was fantastic - all that we needed. They had a crib provided for us as requested. There is a to go breakfast bag starting at 4am - hot starts at 6am? Shuttle was prompt and a great service that goes out on the 25 and the 55 of each hour. The restaurant nextdoor was great and open until 10pm (we did takeout at 950pm). The kids and I went swimming and they had a blast. Nice the pool was shallow enough for my 4 yo who can’t swim without assistance to have fun. Well done!! We’ll be coming again when we visit family again in NS, Canada!

If you are a sports team do not book this hotel. 7:30pm 5 adults in our group were told to go in their room or threatened with police being called because they were talking in the hallway. No warning, even though that would have been an over reaction as well. The indoor pool was freezing, I’m sure to discourage kids given the hotel’s insistence on families signing a contract to keep their kids basically locked up in their room (slight exaggeration but trying to make a point). I will say, the rooms were nice, some staff were friendly and understanding however others were down right rude. Continental breakfast was good and kept well stocked and cleaning staff were excellent. Overall, not a bad spot with the exception of certain staff with power issues but I can’t state enough, if you are a sports team, go somewhere else. You’re not welcome. My child overheard the interaction and was afraid to go to sleep worried police were coming.

Overall, it was a good experience with a few minor complaints. We arrived around 2am but our room wasn't ready. I guess there was some sort of maintenance issue, but we only waited 15 min or so for the room to be ready. The staff offered us snacks and beverages while we waited, which was nice. The room didn't have any soap but I think that was a product of a 2am cleaning crew quickly getting our room ready. Finally, parking was a nightmare. They obviously have a park/fly setup going on but it wasn't uncommon for me to drive around the lot for 5-10 min looking for a spot when I got back from an outing. It would be nice if they had designated spots for short term guests. Otherwise, good stay, handy 24/7 airport shuttle and decent breakfast.

The location was convenient as it is close to the airport and a shuttle is offered. The breakfast was also decent and hot. However, the lack of cleanliness will prevent us from staying here again. It was unacceptable. There were stains on the towels, dirt on the floors, and the shower needed cleaning as we saw stains/mold/mildew everywhere. We've stayed in far cheaper budget motels before and even them they were at least clean.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our stay in Halifax. I believe they were under staffed because we had issues with the cleanliness of our room and the indoor swimming pool as well. When we arrived, our room wasn’t very clean. The floors were dirty and the shower had hair in it and hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival. It looked like someone had cleaned it quickly but missed a bunch of things such as providing towels and face cloths and cleaning the floor where there were ceramic tiles (half of the room had carpet which that part seemed clean). We had to call the front desk and the receptionist was very sweet and actually cleaned the floors for us. Besides that the room was pretty good and the bed was comfortable. As for the indoor pool, there was a lot of strands of hair floating around in it. It definitely had not been cleaned in quite a while. Our stay overall went well and the breakfast was great but due to the cleanliness issues I would not stay here again.

Quite frankly my favourite hotel to stay at in the Maritimes while travelling for work. I rarely leave reviews but this hotel & staff deserve a 5 star review. The team is always friendly and welcoming (Morgan especially) and rooms are always comfortable and clean. They greet you with a smile and by your first name each time they see you. 👍👍

Was impressed with initial inspection. Looked nice, spacious and clean. But then I realized that neither my 83 year old mother or myself could get into the enormously high bed. I tried the sofa bed but that was like sleeping on bars. So after finding a way to get into bed comfortably, I was very satisfied with how comfortable it was. Breakfast was great, alot of choices and hot. Love the always on coffee. Oh the desk clerk was helping the person in front of me while I was waiting for service and she was very apologetic that I waited 5 min. That was above the top. Thanks. Sorry, still only 3 stars because the height of the bed was a big deal and dangerous trying to get in it. Unfortunately it will have to become a booking question.

This is a great place to stay. Clean. Staff were great All was awesome until I took a conditioner shot in the face. Beware of the pumps in the showers. Or don't forget your goggles. Haha breakfast wasn't up to par with other holiday inns I stayed at this week. You can definitely survive with what was there though. Book up your stay. This baby is close to the airport.

One of the best Holiday Inn's I've stayed at. Very large lobby, business centre with printer, pool, gym, and great staff. The room we got was very clean, comfortable and large. Lots of counter space, closet and drawers, a very comfortable chair, a nice natural separation from the entryway and washroom from the bedroom, very nice washroom equipped with Dove products, and lots of plug-ins and different lights around the room. The room also has a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Although the room was large, there wasn't a lot of empty space to fit the pack and play. But it was possible as we have a smaller style one. They have a shuttle that runs to the airport and back every 30 mins 24/7. The lobby has tea and coffee available at all times, as well as a small convenience store. Breakfast was buffet style but we left before 6am so I can't comment on how good it was. The pool water was warm, definitely one of the warmest pools I've been in. No water slide.

I have stayed here a number of times and can really only say anything negative about it was my stay this summer. There was gum under the desk, the bathroom floor had not been cleaned, and the shower floor had never been cleaned. Since I've never had a bad experience here before, this was the first, I decided to stay here when it was time for me to fly out. It conviently close to the airport. My room this time was excellent. Very clean, spacious, and I checked the bathroom. Superb.

Called ahead to the 1800 to make sure parking was included in the rate and the agent said yes. When we arrived we were informed parking wasn't included and I explained I rung the 1800 number and the guy working the desk said well they look after all holiday inns they don't know. My reply was well how was I supposed to know that I did my due diligence I rung ahead he said I should have called them directly but, that wasn't the phone number I was directed to online. He said it was going to be 40 bucks extra and eventually waived it after making a big deal about how I shouldn't have called the 1800 number. Room was very, very dirty! Loads of hair in the shower, dirt swirls all over the bathroom floor from a dirty mop and then in the closet there was an NSLC bag with half full bottles of wine. If we had any other choice at that hour we would have left. This was on Christmas night so, I imagine they were understaffed so I can almost excuse the cleanliness but, they from desk experience was awful.

Great room, fair price, not much hospitality going on here. Felt ridged and automated, but was an easy enough check in. Shuttle to and from airport always a nice touch. Bagged breakfasts were a let down give the morning prior I had a hot breakfast at Quality Inn. Fair price, clean nice rooms, good stay.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and great prices. Myself and 12 others diverted on a flight chose here to stay late at night and we were taken care of. The only complaint we had was the cleanliness of the hotel. My shower still had the last persons soap in it and another guest had stained sheets.
