Not
a
bad
place
to
stay.....but,
unfortunately
for
us,
we
arrived
while
the
front
clerk
was
having
a
snack....extremely
curt
bordering
on
rude.......
The
room
itself
was
basically
like
any
other
hotel
room......but
do
exercise
a
little
caution
with
the
shower;
the
floor
is
extremely
slippery
and
there
isn't
a
bath
mat.
There
is
a
pool,
although
we
didn't
utilize
it.
The
exercise
room
isn't
currently
available,
but
appears
adequately
equipped.
One
of
the
highlights?
THEY
HAVE
A
LAUNDRY
on
the
2nd
floor!
A
GREAT
amenity
when
you're
traveling
and
swimming
in
the
ocean.
The
downside
is,
the
washer
and
dryer
accept
loonies
only,
and
a
dryer
load
is
only
45
minute
for
$2.......only
a
tiny
load
would
be
dried
in
that
time.
There's
no
change
machine,
but
the
front
desk
will
supply
loonies
(but
REALLY
didn't
want
to
bother
the
clerk
again......🤨).
Alternatively,
you
could
try
to
use
bills
in
the
snack/drink
machines
on
the
main
floor
(which
will
give
change
IF
you
can
get
the
machine
to
accept
your
bills).
The
"Continental
Plus"
breakfast
is
somewhat
lacking
the
"Plus"
part......essentially
an
assortment
of
bagels/muffins/bread,
cereal,
coffee
and
juice......
There
is
adequate
parking
around
the
hotel
and
main
floor
guests
don't
have
to
bring
their
luggage
through
the
lobby.......they
have
patio
doors
to
the
parking
area.
Traffic
around
the
hotel
is
clockwise
with
two
blind
corners
so
exercise
a
little
caution.
There
is
a
Tim
Hortons
adjacent
to
the
hotel,
which
makes
weekday
traffic
in
the
vicinity
VERY
busy.....if
you
want
a
Tim
Hortons
coffee,
consider
opting
for
a
location
down
the
road.
If
you're
planning
on
transiting
Halifax
(to
Dartmouth)
during
rush
hour,
have
an
idea
where
you're
going......it's
very
fast
moving.
Value
for
the
money?
On
par
if
you're
trying
to
avoid
Downtown
Halifax
(traffic
or
hotel
fees).
