I rented one of the main house suites and the Crab Cottage for my mom and I for one night. Unfortunately, that night there was a historic storm and lightning strikes caused a major power outage and flooding so we were a little trapped. Dena and Colin took such good care of ,not just us, but all of their guests that night. They checked in with us, started a group chat with all the guests, made sure we had water and food, brought us extra towels and flashlights, even called restaurants in the area to see if they were open and could accommodate us. It was truly an adventure and one that we won't soon forget. Easterners are the best people, so friendly, kind and willing to open their doors to strangers in need. Also, even though it was stormy, the location and view from the cottages was spectacular. The cottages were clean, had everything you would need for your stay there. Thank you Dena and Colin! I promise we'll be back.

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful cottage with a welcoming community, Lighthouse Lane Cottages are the place for you. My boyfriend and I vacationed her just recently and the view was spectacular, the cottage was clean and cozy. Very well sanitized as that was a big concern for us. Colin and Dena were more than hospitable, providing us with everything we needed as well as a list of local restaurants and hiking suggestions. We will absolutely be back!

We stayed in the Seahorse cottage for 5 nights in August of 2021. We were really pleased with the size, cleanliness and amenities of the cottage. Everything we needed was there. The owners were wonderful and the location is just close enough to Halifax so that we could visit our family quite easily. There are two bedrooms with comfortable beds that were perfect for the three of us. Peggy's Cove is nearby and could probably be walked to, but it would be a fairly long walk. Also, the road is busy enough that walking there is probably not the best idea in terms of safety. There is also a small convenience store that takes maybe 5-10 minutes to walk to if you need some of the basics. We spent some time walking the nearby trails and seeing the sights. Some members of the family even went for a dip in the water, although access was a bit challenging on slippery rocks and the water is cold!. We've just reserved for another week for next summer and we are really looking forward to it. We will be staying here every chance we get.

Such a relaxing experience! The sound of the crashing waves from your deck while watching the sunset is pretty spectacular! Sweet and cozy cottages and very gracious hosts, a perfect get away in thes times of restricted travel if you think you have no where to go. Love, love, love!!!

Such a gem! We did a last minute staycation and my only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer! The sunset was amazing and the cottage was so cozy, we will definitely back!

The views were breathtaking! The room and cottages were beautiful. Plenty of amenities available! Room was very clean and well maintained. Collin and Dean were super hospitable! I will be back!

Dina and Colin have a wonderful property. We were greeted by Dina upon arrival and she guided us to our suite. Thr view is stunning, the suite has a cozy beachy chic vibe and everything you need was in the room. They thought of evey detail. We only stayed for one night but it was well worth it. We returned to the city completed rejuvenated. Can't wait to visit again and rent a cottage with the family!

We stayed at the Blue fin cottage for one night. It was amazing! View - Amazing! I missed just sitting there at the balcony with a beer in my hand and enjoyed the scenery. Rooms - The room was clean, neatly designed, and had all the amenities we needed. The balcony was amazing! It had a BBQ and gas fire pit, which kept us warm while enjoying the amazing view. Location - It took us less than an hour to get from Halifax. Peggy's cove was also only a few minutes way. Also, there wasa convenient store/liquor store close by. Staff - as mentioned above, we were warmly welcomed by Dena as soon as we stepped out of our car. She was also very helpful in giving us recommendations on what food to eat nearby. If I can, I would give 5 stars to this place + 5 more stars to Dena for being so welcoming and friendly to us throughout our stay!

Colin and Dena are super hosts! So friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. We stayed in one of the suites on the first floor of their home. It was immaculate, so clean and fresh and comfortable. Tastefully decorated and uber- comfortable. Loved sitting out on the deck and sleeping with the door open and the breeze through the screen. A gorgeous property in a beautiful location. Would definitely stay here again. Really pretty nearby lighthouse too

My Lady and I just returned from our East Coast tour from Halifax back to Ontario. We stayed in the Starfish Suite and it was incredible! Clean, presentable, all the amenities were there. The suite faces West and the sunset was so amazing, so beautiful, and breathtaking being right on the oceanfront and watching it set behind the mountains off in the distance. Our hosts, Dena and Colin are super, with great attitudes, friendly as all heck, and extremely helpful with anything that is needed to make ones stay the very best. They truly care about their guests, and it shows! Their cottages and suites are a few minutes from Peggy's Cove and tucked away on a wonderful property that is clean and well taken care of. All their cottages & suites decks face West, and lots of big windows to soak up the breathtaking scenery. Staying here was a highlight of my summer vacation, and we plan on returning here the summer of 25' with our entire family and rent several cottages so we can all enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Canada. Peaceful winter getaway! Everything I expected and more. And they are taking the covid precautions seriously (including contact-less payments), I felt very safe in that regard. The Jellyfish suite was perfect for a coastal weekend getaway, and at a really inexpensive winter rate. Couldn't recommend Dena and Colins places enough! I will definitely be back in the future.

My family and I spent one night in the Oyster cottage and loved it. The cottage looked exactly like other pictures on Google Maps. We arrived after dark so we could not see the surroundings until morning when I walked out of the bedroom and saw the view from the window straight ahead of me. What a pleasant surprise! We had driven for three days and this was our first view of the ocean in years. The art in the cottage was very unique and appropriate for an ocean cottage. We enjoyed it! My goal was to take pictures of the Peggy's Cove lighthouse at sunrise and I was able to drive there in five minutes or less from Lighthouse Lane Cottages. Thanks for a lovely stay and I highly recommend Lighthouse Lane Cottages to others!

Absolutely gorgeous little spot. The owners are very friendly and ready to answer any questions you have. Cottage is well equipped for a relaxing sea side retreat. The decor and the view is priceless! Was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries and clear our heads during this covid 2020 time. We stayed in the bluefin. I recommend bringing binoculars. Hope to back soon

What an absolutely lovely getaway. Literally minutes from Peggy’s Cove! The cottages are outstandingly stylish, clean, comfortable and filled with everything you need for a weekend away. Each cottage is decorated perfectly, you will love all the little details you’ll come across when exploring your cottage during your stay! We loved that even the little plates has hand painted seascapes on them! The owners are amazing, communication was outstanding! Highly recommended !

We had a fantastic experience at Starfish Lodge! The views were spectacular and the way the deck is situated it feels very private. There was no way to photograph the inside in a way to give it justice. It is small but there was clearly thought put into the space to make it work. I absolutely will be back and recommending this spot to anyone I can. (Side note: we happened to be there during a visit of the Bluenose! Magical!)

Rustic but so clean and comfortable. Colin there to greet you as you arrive. Each cabin has a perfect view of the water. All the supplies one needs. Recommend for all

My husband and I stayed in the Oyster cottage last night and it was a truly incredible experience. The cottage itself is so lovely and comfy/cozy we didn't want to leave. Everything you could want and need is provided - we made an incredible supper in the kitchen and on the bbq. This cottage right on the water with a spectacular view of the sun setting directly across the water. Was like a dream. We will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!
