We booked a three-night stay here, but left two days early. Washrooms are incredibly outdated. The showers in the women's room didn't work - just ate my quarters and sputtered water over the wall. It didn't seem to be properly hooked up. Campsites are the tiniest ones we've encountered on our three-week trip across the east coast. Very little privacy. We asked about the possibility of a refund, and were told the owner would call us. No phone call and no refund. We chose to stay here because of the proximity to The Shore Club (which was excellent), but the camping experience was pretty terrible. If you're in a tent, I highly recommend staying elsewhere.

Campground close to the beach. But very small sites. We stay there on saturday. Much people makes Party. But the great problem is the ShorClub in front of the CP... if there are concert, you here we music very loud to the CP until 3 am in the morning...

Just did a tour for the east and this was one of the worst sites we stayed at. If you like camping like you were in a cramped condo in Toronto then this is the place for you. Couldn’t even have a fire as the trailers are so close together. Also they don’t mention that you need to get a pass card to get in and out. Store doesn’t open until 10 and closes at 6. If they don’t mention about the card then you get stuck outside the gate until they reopen.

We came to Hubbards looking to getaway from Ontario. After recommendations from family that have seasonal lots, we went with Log Cabin 3. Everything we needed was there, the beach was close and kept clean. It was also pet friendly which was a plus. Amenities: laundry mat (onsite), grocery store and pharmacy (off site, 4 min drive). The cabin came fully equipped with essentials, grabbed a few things from the store when needed. There was a little fire pit just outside the cabin. We brought extra fans with us because there was no air conditioning, it helped cool down the cabin a bit during the day. Restaurants: the Shore Club (lobster dinner) and the Tuna Blue (awesome menu with an incredible view of the cove.) Overall, our experience met our expectations. The log cabin had the charm of the 1960s, unlike your typical modern hotel rooms and offered a unique experience.

Don’t get the bad reviews. Yes, there are mostly seasonal sites but we stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The site size is the same as most privately owned campgrounds with lovely old trees around camp sites. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The water is not drinkable but they do have a filtered water site where you can fill up jugs for drinking. The campground was quiet and very walkable. Beach is nice but not the best NS has to offer. Showers are standard. Canteen on site, fish and chips are delicious. Lobster suppers on site too with mixed reviews. We didn’t try it. Close to the city to escape for a few days. Location is great. We enjoyed our stay here.

Nice, but not for groups of young people with their pets. Woman at front desk was very rude and judged us from check-in to check out. We are always very respectful wherever we go and our pets are well trained. We were quiet and cleaned up after ourselves. The cottage was nice enough, but the attitude of the woman at the front desk really left a bad taste. Also, it was an extra fee for each pet which we did not know until told at check-in. Sad to be judged due to age alone. Won't be back. :(

We rented Oak Hollow cottage for our family get-together week, our second time staying at Hubbards camp ground. We love the rustic charm of the old cabins and don't mind cobwebs etc that some reviewers complain about. Don't expect luxury but there's everything you need for a relaxing holiday and, best of all, the lovely beach, where I swam every morning before breakfast. Our enjoyment was a wee bit spoiled by the expansion of the camp ground area by the lagoon since our previous visit to accommodate large RVs that for some reason require a constantly running generator. I did mention this to the office and they said they'd have a word. Well, it was a little more quiet that evening but the following night back to running through again, which definitely changes the peaceful rustic charm. We enjoyed a lobster Supper at the Shore Club, and a concert there by Matt Minglewood, quite an experience for visitors from the UK. We were also amused by the appearance of Moonshine camp ground from the CBC TV series at the far end of Hubbards Beach. We thought it was real! We will hopefully be back.

Wow. This place is gorgeous. When you think of Nova Scotia this is what you picture!! Don't buy the lobster rolls though unless you like lobster salad I was hoping for chunks of lobster not a mashup. The beach is $10 per car until 4:00 and no dogs allowed on the beach that was a downer. After 4:00 though you can get in for free to the beach and take your dog but please clean up after your dog.

August 19-22, 2022..I read some of the reviews sorry that some visitors had such a bad experience..on the other hand during our stay the staff couldn't have been any nicer..very accommodating when asking about different things..even made a couple of switches to allow our daughter to camp beside us when booking late..we were told all about the the beach(which we loved) and the card needed for the gate..if leaving after 7pm, you'll need to put down a holders fee for a card.. others campgrounds charge 20.00 for the card for the whole time you're camping and refund when leaving..glad the beach is a part of the campground and visitors had to pay..keeps it less populated..the campground sites are small and the bathroom isn't the best, but it was clean. We loved the area..plus entertainment at the Shore Club if you wish to go dancing, also Blue Tuna restaurant in walking distance it you wish to eat out by the water..beauty of a spot..Thank you Hubbards Campground we had a great weekend👍

Beautiful campground with nice beach and convenient canteen but the two times we have stayed here there have been drunk people hooting and hollering and blasting music all hours of the night. The campground policy states "Quiet time is 11:10 pm absolutely no noise or music during these hours" but it's not enforced. I know last time they said there was a dance but I think it would be good practice if there were a disclaimer if you're staying on one of those nights.

We really enjoy coming here every year. Love the rustic charm of the cottages and everyone is so friendly. Walking distance to the beach is a huge bonus and the lobster suppers are delish. Not to mention the dances are so much fun. We stayed in Chestnut Grove for the first time and the view from the sun room did not disappoint!

Being back at Hubbards this week has been spectacular 😍 brings back all the beautiful memories we have shared with family over the last few decades. Gorgous beach, beautiful little cottages and the best people.

Stayed 3 of the 4 days booked. Asked to check out 1 day early due to hurricane Lee approaching and was was told “sure, but no refund!” These are some awful greedy people. We did enjoy exploring the area during our stay. We just want to get inland a ways. All the other places we have stayed in mainland NS and CBI have been amazing!

Stayed at Silver Birches, a beautiful well cared for rustic cottage with an incredible view of the ocean. The good vibes lend to a wonderful family gathering. Lots to do young and old.

Stayed in the white birch cabin. Location very close to the beach. Enjoyed a fire in the wood fireplace. It added to the cozy cottage feel. Cottage had all the essentials for a stay. We had a great stay.

Had the best experience. Anita at the Hubbards office gave us an upgrade from a log cabin to a cottage by the beach. Cabin was clean, and beautiful view from the deck for our girls evening.

A lot to share. Camp sites are close but not quit slide to slide. Access 24/7 to stunning sand beach. Great for swimming water temp about 75 degrees. Within walking distance of bar/restaurants, lobster dinner venue, bike trails. Perfect location for seeing area attractions. Park caters to mostly seasonal locals who are welcoming friendly and helpful. They like to party so be a little show a little patience. Some evenings can be noisy...take it in stride and join in.Bob at the desk goes over and above toake your stay delightful. We will definitely return. Had a great 6 night stay.

The epitome of rustic and charming! My girlfriends and I recently stayed at the cottages for our friends wedding and I was blown away by the rustic charm of the cottages. It was so clean, comfortable and it was walking distance to the beach. I cannot wait to visit again in the summer!

Campsite is clean and staff are friendly, the only negative is that the sites are narrow. The location is fantastic with easy access to bike trail. Beach is beautiful and great for Kayaking.

Love this place. 3 years straight we've gone. This year we upgraded to a 3 bedroom cottage, amazing and great view of water. It was called Spruce Grove. Will be returning customers!

Location is very nice and the people were friendly Sites are small for a big rig Water is not good, you are not supposed to drink it although there are lots of people staying there so they must be okay with less than drinkable standard water. Lots of campfires on the weekend which you may or may not like, a bit smokey for us 30 amp, no 50 amp. Our site was level but our neighbors was not. Good beach access. More than 50% of the sites are park models/permanently emplaced trailers. Once again I would note it is a very nice location.

Had to cancel my cottage for the end of September due to covid. Had it booked for a wedding but their venue was changed. Not getting my refund of $195!!!! This to me is theft!!! There’s a very good chance that the owners will be able to rent that cottage so they’ll be receiving double their money.

Cute beach, water was really nice to swim in. Campsites were VERY close together. Washrooms were easily accessable and the campground was dog friendly.

Stayed there years ago in a tent. Crowded, loud until after 1am in the morning, the lady who booked us in seemed mad at us. If campers won't be respectful of others, the campground management should be on top of it. Since I see that recent reviews show it's still the same, we'll be looking elsewhere for our weekend trip coming up. The fact that they don't even respond to these reviews says a lot too. Most, if not all other campgrounds do. I would like to see them do better do they continue to be successful, and sobthey leave a good impression on tourists to N.S.

Great location, close to the beach. Nice sites for tents but avoid site 67, which is near a sewage system that smells from time to time. I would easily have given a 4 rating except for the latrine smell at the campsite.

We just arrived home from the absolute best camping weekend ever! The campground was spotless, the weather was great and the beach was spectacular. The fire pits are really small but we had great fires anyway. We can't wait to go back.
