SmartCentres Halifax

Shopping center

😐 SmartCentres is a stupid entry in Google Maps. I think it is the company that owns the building that Walmart Bayers Lake is in. Honestly, who cares about the landlord. People often mention Costco, shop, good, parking, store,

Great selection of stores. More down-market than Dartmouth Crossing, but more convenient for those reliant on public transportation. Stores are closer together, and more along the line of Walmart type stores and budgets.

I stopped by to pick up some items. The store was well stocked. Friendly staff. Overall! A good experience.

Costco. Big box store. Be prepared to go in for some $1.99 bananas and somehow exit with $150 worth of goods. How does this happen? Good value for high quality products and always happy, friendly staff. They are treated well and many have not changed for years.

Lots of parking. Actually, really a lot of handicapped parking. Everything tou want in a Smart Centre with Walmart, Costco, superstore and Canadian Tire all around it, tou will be able to find anything you need. Throw in an AYCE Sushi joint, a Five Guys and a well-appointed NSLC, and it's a one-stop shopping trip for sure.

This entire area is chaos! Even on weekdays. Very congested and the store in the plaza don't have the greatest selection. The Walmart is the WORST. We live a few mins from the plaza and choose to drive to the Mumford location for a bigger store and way better selection.

I appreciate the deals here at Costco. We go monthly to stock up on things we can divide up and freeze. Also dislike how pushy the other shoppers are.

Almost all brands are here, one stop and you can buy almost everything. Good restaurants as well.

Love costco, but I hate how I have to go to Dartmouth further away to get what I want. They discontinue too many very popular items, such as ciabatta rolls, honey garlic sausages!! Really? Dartmouth is way better but further drive.

The food is ok but over priced, but worst of all are the customers, rude pushy and they all think they're somebody. Oh and the layout of the store sucks a**

It's fine but not pedestrian friendly at all.

I live an hour away, but keep a membership with my family. I make Costco runs, and find quite a bit of items I can puchase here to keep me going for several months. Medications, vitamins eye drops, dog supplies and cleaning supplies are much more affordable long term.

You know! Costco is unique in many ways and prices are good based on their marketing style.

Something todo once in awhile. Great place to visit to shop around, eat and just unwind. Close to some parks and other businesses we visited in the city.

Went early today and found shopping pleasing. Not as busy as it has been later in the day like I usually go.👍😊

Love the shopping, other customers, not so much...they will run you over with their cart and act like you are invisible

Always super busy, and you have to be really careful with the produce..... check it really well because there's some that has already gone bad - raspberries in particular. Wish they carried more than one brand of some products, and some products aren't worth the price, or could get the same thing cheaper somewhere else.

3 things on the list...$168 @the checkout. But I love a great deal...and trying new products. Costco is my go to store for spinach, minced garlic, berries...and apparently many other items

Way to busy for me but I only go once a month so it's good .. everything in one spot

Went to Halifax Costco, by chance, instead of the Dartmouth Costco. Basically the same, parking was better, I drive a F350 with a tandem trailer, Halifax Costco was easier to maneuver in. Not great, but easier than Dartmouth. Maybe they need to plan parking for "larger" & "longer" vehicles, with signage to keep out Small fry"! I noted at least three vehicles like mine in the parking lot... loading up our tandems!

Great place to shop. Just tell your staff at the exit, that "friendliness goes a long way".

Everything you could ever need is in this general area. From food to books to clothing and everything in between can be found in this mall. Tip : it's best to start from one end of the mall so you don't end up going back and forth since it's set up like a strip mall.

Bayer's Lake is close by and very convenient. Large selection of stores and Tons of parking. I couldn't imagine going to a mall anymore.

This place has costco, walmart, Atlantic superstore which is very convenient. The parking is huge and i like that there are there are restaurant and clothing stores in the plaza as well

Some were crowded, some not. If you have the time you can find those hard to fine gifts.

Costco is a great place to shop if you have a large family to shop for. It used to be a good place to shop if you wanted large quantities and lower prices.... However, that does not really seem to be the case with most things there now.

Love costco. Only complaint, I tried purchasing an item at the warehouse, which the website said WAS available at the warehouse. Asked an employee, and they said it was a mistake, and wasn't available. Tried ordering it online the next day, and it was removed.

1st time I've eaten at the canteen there and it amazes me that you get a big hotdog and drink for $1.50! It's pretty good too!

Great place to shop. Very good technical support for Samsung phones, always helpful.

Customer service has really gone down hill, workers don't seem to enjoy their jobs anymore, I was yelled at by a cashier last year and reached out to Costco with feedback and never even got a follow up email. The food kiosks are simple but there should be a clear option for cash. Not sure how they handled the telus debacle last week.

👍👍 This is a really cool Mall experience every time we visit. Located in one of the best areas in Halifax. I rate a 5-star. The very spacious food court has a great selection of places to choose from for your meal. Nice place to shop with a great selection of shops to browse through. Steve G.
