This is a really cool Mall experience every time we visit. Located in one of the best areas in Halifax. I rate a 5-star. The very spacious food court has a great selection of places to choose from for your meal. Nice place to shop with a great selection of shops to browse through. Steve G.

Scotia Square offers a spacious and convenient shopping experience with a wide variety of stores. I visited Lawton's within the mall and found it to be a great place for purchasing items. The family dining area provided a pleasant spot for us to enjoy a meal. It's an ideal destination for weekend outings and shopping.

This is a good place to take a short break for everyone. There is a bus terminal, food court and bank. You are welcome to walk toward the Halifax Waterfront along the glass aisle. There are several 4 stars hotels nearby, such as the Barrington Hotel, the Hotel Halifax and the Marriott Harborfront Hotel which you will cross it at the end of the aisle to the Halifax Waterfront. In a word, Scotia Square is an ideal place for everyone to stop and think about the next step.

Has some great food options in the food court. But PLEASE bring back Starbucks!! I do feel like they’re lacking storefronts. Not very many options for shopping. My favourite store here is Cole’s. Every time I’m at this mall, something interesting happens where someone gets upset or causes a scene.

Best mall to do all of your purchases and make travel arrangements, it has restaurants like thai, indian, Lebanese, chinese and fast food restaurants like a&w, subway, and etc. Also, coffeeshops Starbucks and tim are there. Its really close to the hotel halifax. There are paid parking available if you want to park your cars.

Lot's of food 😋, in the heart of downtown Halifax. It saddens me to see people sleeping at the tables in Scotia Square. Maybe security should do their jobs. Instead of standing 🧍‍♂️ around all day.

Scotia Square has some staple stores like; Lawtons, Dollarama, a Walk-In clinic and has some little independent stores dotted throughout. The mall is easy to get around and fairy easy to find things. From a customer standpoint it is pretty clean. The mall covers some good food options. They have 'started' to add more diversity, hoping to see more options in the future.

Is attached to Hotel Halifax which is great. Walked over to visit food court and drugstore which helped us with our stay in Halifax. Very clean with lots of space and tables.

Nice facility and some good food choices in the food court, but they moved the location of the Moneygram & Canada Post that was very convenient for visitors and tourists.

So many restaurants inside, it's connected to Halifax hotel which was perfect and made my stay more convenient. I was missing a few things, so I just ran down to Dollarama. It ss very clean and has lots of options for lunch when I don't feel like leaving the hotel.

Don't mistake scotia square for a mall, they only have limited offerings such as lawtons, bookstore, food hall and some fashion/styling businesses. Good variety of food at the food court, except the Mcdonalds is a bit slow.

It needs some work and some of the stores fronts are closed but it had what I needed and within walking distance to my hotel. It is connected by the walkway which makes it convenient and it does have a good food court.

Coming back from the casino, late at night, we saw a mouse in the food court. Worried, we told the security agent about the mouse and she told us that she is used to seeing mice, that it was normal. Makes me wonder about food safety.

Out of all the malls I've been in, Scotia Square is one of the quieter ones, even on its busier days. It's a nice spot to get away from the noise, however, there are fewer shops here in comparison to other malls in the area. Despite this, the food court has a decent selection and is quite clean.

Its a nice place for every type of activities. I love the window side seatings as you get to see outside-city area and can work on laptops. It's a great food place as well. Love the cafeteria!

Not a lot of retail stores to shop in. I’d only come here if you need a pit stop and some fast food.

I don't live in Halifax, I went there for some work and checking out the area. I think this mall is fairly new as there weren't many shops. But it's nice and tidy

A once-thriving mall is reduced to occupying space in the downtown core. The food court is busy at lunchtime on Mondays to Fridays for the office workers.

Lots of world food choices to chose from in this mall! Nice clean and modern.

  • 2/5 Rene S. 1 year ago on Google
Very little in the way of shopping here. Although it is conveniently located downtown your better off going to the outlying malls which offer a better selection of stores.

The food court is quite large and it is kept very clean. There is also a corner store just off Barrington St. at street level. The pedway helps pedestrians go from upper Water St to Scotia Square food court in less than 10 minutes. I did not know there was an exit unto the lower end of Duke St. on the lower level of Scotia Square close to Hollis St. until the other day.

Decent selection of food in ‘The Mix’ food court. Close to many hotels and the waterfront. There aren’t a huge selection of stores but they are enough to tie you over when checking in to your hotel or wanting a cozy food night. There is an issue with smell in the food court at times. Almost like feces. I hope they can clear that up. It also closes early (1800) so you have to plan when you will be getting your dinner if need be.

    Nice and organized cener.

I wish there was more variety of shopping. The food court is okay.

Slick and modern place where you can have a nice hot cup of coffee or even a bite of fast food if the presence of business white color workers doesn't bother you. Several levels of sitting area with great views really compliment to this place. Noticed today: they even opened Eye Optical: so now you can order new pair of fancy glasses!

I was there visiting from Ontario. I love a good butter chicken. I wasn't asked about spice level so assumed it'd all be mild to medium. Although it was very flavorful, I was red in the face and sweating with the spice level. Very surprised as it's a food court and think most people would enjoy it on the milder side. I went back and asked for a helping of raita sauce to help cool it off. It was a weirder consistency then I'm used to for a yogurt sauce ..very thin...and did nothing to subdue the spice. Hopefully this review adds value for the owners to perhaps pivot as I love the idea of an Indian option in a good court.

Tom Segura was great but staff were organized and friendly. Guy who worked there for 33 years (I believe he said) and was in some type of Management, took the time to help us find our seats. That was fantastic.

Has lots of stores in it. Also have fast food court. Lit of different types of food and very friendly staff

After a concert tonight your credit card system to pay for parking wasn't working inside, no big deal, I had cash. At the exit, the car in front of me tried to pay with a credit card, system also not working. Took over 10 min to get someone down there and then he and person on the other end tried to get the card system to work, for another 10 min! Did I mention a concert had just gotten out? Please, for goodness sakes, empower your employees to make a decision and let the poor guy out if the system doesn't work. Customer service goes up every level of the company, not just the front line, do better for your employees.

Renovated and very modern, closest early 6ish. Variety of stores from drug stores to clithing/jewelry.

Pretty boring place. Not many shops and the food area has gone down significantly over the years.

😐 SmartCentres is a stupid entry in Google Maps. I think it is the company that owns the building that Walmart Bayers Lake is in. Honestly, who cares about the landlord.
