The best must try restaurant in Halifax. Their food is so fresh and tastes authentic. They start with few pieces of bread, pickled jalapeños and some olives (complimentary). The bread was so fresh and felt like it was straight from oven. You have to try their mixed platter of appetizers where you get to try all the cold appetizers in one plate at a reasonable price. Then we order the mixed platter for four people, it was so good and the quantity is worth for price. Their ambience next to the sea view is amazing. To try authentic turkish/ Mediterranean food with a nice view of sunset at a reasonable price. Definitely go check it out!

Excellent customer service and atmosphere. The server was very observant and cared about every little detail. We ordered a mixed lamb grill and a mixed chicken grill. The chicken grill was better than lamb. I would say the food was okay, not exceptional; however, the service 5 stars. They also provided bread and olives on the house.

We thought we would give Turkuaz Turkish Restaurant a try as it was recommended by one of my work colleagues and saw they have good reviews. We were in the area thought we would drop in. I do prefer to make reservations but we were out and about and wanted to try something new. They were quite accommodating even though we didn't previously make reservations. It was a very modern style restaurant with a nice decor that has a view of the Bedford basin. I had the lamb shank on rice with salad and my wife shared a lamb Donaire plate with my daughter as she had eaten earlier and was not that hungry. The Lamb shank was delicious and the meat was falling off the bone. I tasted the lamb donair as well which was also very good. Our waitress was nice and very helpful. Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant and will be back to try some different menu items. My honest rating would be 4.7/5 but I will go with 5 stars because it was definitely not a 4 star. The reason for the 4.7 rating is because compared to other Turkish Restaurants I have been to, the variety of grilled vegetables was less. This being the first time I was there I found the parking lot to be a little confusing as the spots are labeled Reserved so I was looking for a parking spot not knowing that the signs for reserved for customers of the restaurant and patrons of the plaza (usually reserved spots are for staff). I would just recommend having better signage so new people coming in know they have a place to park. Price wise it was a little more than other Turkish Restaurants that we frequent but still worth while checking out as their food is very good. I will be back and continue to support this business and would recommend that you try it.👍👍

I ordered Turkauz using Uber Eats for my first time, due to wanting to spend an evening in . The food came fairly quickly & was still hot . I ordered the mix Kebab platter, hummus, rice pudding & chicken shish . I'm not a fan of the Coban salad so I requested just some more rice instead , which they did for me without issue . The food here is so tasty and all is very fresh . I highly recommend the mix kabob platter to try both lamb & chicken , shish and kofte . Turkuaz is a hidden gem in Bedford . I give 4/5 stars for prices being a little high & also my missing item from order, my rice pudding, although UBER EATS refunded my money, the rice pudding is what I looked forward to the most . Hope to try it next time . 🇹🇷

Wow, wow, wow! The flavours of each item are unique, and the meats are done to perfection (nothing was dry). See the many pics I uploaded! This is one of those rare restaurants that I will crave to go back to, and I will be back! We were a party of 11 and Mady our server was excellent, it wasn't easy to serve so many of us but she did so with a smile at all times. She is such an asset. The only small thing I would suggest is to turn up the Turkish music, it was barely audible and it would have created more of an atmosphere. Oh, BTW, the views of the basin are wonderful! What a place!

A good place to dine in with family and friends. The staff is very accommodating and courteous. Their food is tasty and enough. We tried the chicken kebabs and it was tasty. Less spicy but tasty. The main highlight was the view. I would recommend going there for lunch as you can enjoy the view as well.

Had an amazing meal here! The staff is super friendly and helpful! Very willing to go out of their way to accommodate dietary restrictions. food was amazing! It was perfectly spiced, and even sides like rice were top.notch. will be coming back next time I am in Halifax.

Very delicious kebabs cooked to perfection! Persians and Turks have the best kebabs in the world and I believe Turkuaz is doing a very god job in representing Turkish kebabs in Halifax. Staff are very nice and very polite. I can’t see any cons or negative points. This place is just perfect. Don’t miss Kunefe and Tea after your meal there ;)

Such an amazing view of Bedford waterfront..Loved the food and the service..We always do take out and this is our first time going in..The food came quickly and everything was perfect. Did a takeout for the first time..I loved everything..I ordered few things but only took a pic of Jumbo Mix Kebab Plater..If you are a big eater it is perfect for two people but can feed more I am sure..The meet was tender and perfect..The rice was nicely done..Very nice service 👍👍👍

I ordered from Doordash, and arrived hot and fresh. Having worked at a Mediterranean restaurant here's my review! The Good - I orders the mixed kebab, and there was two kebabs, lamb and chicken, and also two koftes, also lamb and chicken. Great portion! And they were delicious!! The lamb was soft and tender, which is rare are as most places have tough lamb. Amazing... like REALLY good! The Bad - While the rice was still good, it wasn't authentic, it needs the vermicelli and butter. The salad was nice and fresh, but it was plain and needed some citrus. I added some lemon juice and salt, and then it was yummy! Overall, very good guys, cant wait to come down and enjoy your view!

This was my first time at TURKUAZ on 29th Dec Friday. I was there at the restaurent at 9:10 PM for dinner with my family and 9 months old baby. Then the lady at the reception told me the kitchen is closed at 9:10 PM Why you guys have the timing open till 10 PM and Open Sign ON when you guys close the kitchen at 9:10 PM??? This is completely Insane

We have been here several times and they are very consistent with their food and service. The location is also really nice overlooking the basin (except for the fence), overall great place to eat.

Wonderful, fresh and delicious meal in a beautifully decorated and clean dining room looking out at the basin. I can't wait to go back. The hummus with spiced lamb is absolutely amazing!
