Something for everyone! Large cool Fossil rocks. Beautiful white sandy beaches, sandbars that go on forever. Warm clear water. Great swimming beach. Life guards on site. Very long beach, so not crowded even with lots of people. Camp ground right on the beach (for small camper trailers). Lots of parking. Not many shells or beach glass, but it has everything else, plus, plus, plus!

A stunning setting for a camping trip with a beautiful beach where the water seems a bit warmer than at many other south shore beaches. Staff is so friendly and helpful. My favourite sites are in Loop C where there is a bit of privacy in some of the sites. Much of the rest of the park has open RV sites with no cover, no undergrowth or any semblance of privacy. The outhouses in the park are pretty old and run down. Some have latches that barely work. The comfort stations are far from the beachside camping area and they look old and tired. The beach and boardwalk make up for the other points.

Lovely beach with lots of parking for the day use area. There's a concession stand and washrooms.

As always.... I love Rissers Beach. Lifeguard was on duty. Water was warm.... ish.... :) Lots of laughter from kids running in and out of the waves. It was a good day. The tide was way out so were able to walk far out on the sand bars.

This is a great beach. If you visit make sure to try the fries and veggie burger, they're the best in Nova Scotia

Love it here. Our family enjoyed our overnight stay at site #8 , perfect view, right by the beach. The sites are perfectly positioned especially the ones by the beach, its always full in here but you never will feel that you are too close to others, people who stays here are amazing and friendly. We will def be back for sure.

Very nice big beach. No seaweed or rocks. Lots of shells to find!! The boardwalk is an amazingly peaceful walk. The showers were closed unfortunately, but it was mid-September so it makes sense. Lots of Porta pottys available.

This beach is a beautiful place to go and listen to the waves ,soothing sounds .But the storm we just had made a mess of the beach ,fallen trees ,board walk broken in half ..

Best beach! About an hour out of Halifax but so worth the drive! Large sandy beach with plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of parking, washroom facilities, and canteen with drinks, hot food, snacks and ice cream.

Great beach to visit. We walked along the broad walk and then the beach. Very beautiful! The water was perfect! ❤

Have been visiting this beach my whole life, it's a family favorite. The canteen may or not be operational depending on time of year. They often shut down last week of August, even the bathrooms are closed, unless that's changed, just something to be aware of. Beautiful boardwalk too if you want to just go for a walk

Rissers Beach Provincial Park - While closed indefinitely due to the devastation of Hurricane Lee this beach area is an amazing hiking beach and campground - Complete with a wonderful boardwalk through the marsh and a delightful, easy, flat, pathway through the wooded area.

It is a hidden gem! The pristine coastline, soft sand, and clear waters create a picturesque setting. Whether you're into beachcombing or just soaking up the sun, Rissers offers a tranquil escape. The well-maintained facilities and friendly atmosphere make it a perfect spot for families. Don't miss the stunning sunsets – a must-visit destination on Nova Scotia's South Shore!

It was fabulous. The beach was nice and sandy, not over crowded, a life guard on duty and perfect weather.
