Beautiful beaches and property. Lots of things to do on the resort, no need to leave. Beautiful sand beach on one side. Water was warm enough we could swim. River and lake also on the property with a boat house full of water activities. Food was excellent, but my only criticism would be the lack of knowledge of the servers. There were a couple of vegan options, but the servers were not very knowledgeable of the menu when we presented a dairy allergy. They were able to accommodate eventually, but it took a lot of back and fourth.

We were so looking forward to our Family reunion (35 ppl!), we booked a year ahead and we travelled from all over. We were very disappointed. The cabins / rooms were filthy, furniture is very old and dirty, carpet is filthy and poorly equipped. Full dog bags from previous guest were left on our porch. Staff was nice, but communication is very pour. The location is amazing, but unfortunately everything else fell short. The food was beyond disappointing. We waited over 1.5hours for a steak! A spa is advertised, it is not a spa, it is one person. We had called ahead to ask if we needed to bring towels for the beach, surf boards etc. We were told they had everything. Not true. Again, a gorgeous location and the resort had amazing potential, but the experience was not at all as advertised.

We didn’t stay on the resort but we had access to all the facilities of the resort as complimentary from on of the Airbnb stay. Staffs are very friendly great ambience. Beautiful pool, sauna, hot tub and gaming room. Great music and activities and beautiful private beach.

My daughter took me here for 3 nights. Beautiful, warm, cozy and inviting. Gorgeous beach. The main lodge is stunning. The staff exceptional, always smiling and happy. Excellent live music in the evenings. Just a lovely relaxing place to be.

The staff is very friendly and the location is very nice! The rooms are quite outdated, it gives you more of a cottage feel instead of a Resort feel. Food is very good, drinks are very good. There are nice activities as well. Indoor/outdoor pool are nice. Overall, it's a very nice place, older, but nice 🙂

We love it here. We came here for the long weekend and it matched up to previous visits. Yesterday was delightful on the near deserted beach with our young family with a 2 year old, enjoying building sandcastles for her to jump on and a moat around it which filled up when the tide came in. This morning was spent having fun in the indoor pool which has a jacuzzi. We ate from the buffet bar for breakfast and dinner which we really enjoyed

Great place for families with young children. Lots of activities on site. We will definitely go back. The resort was more dated than we were expecting based on photos online. The room itself was comfortable.

There are many people learning to surf here because the waves are a little high. The sea water is very cold. We stayed in the room on the first floor. If you go out right away, you can go directly to the outdoor swimming pool, indoor swimming pool, and beach. There is a kids zone for children, and you can enjoy billiards and table tennis indoors. You can do campfire in the evening, and the night view in the evening is wonderful. Of course, I can't see anything from the sea. At the restaurant in the resort, you can enjoy live music and have a beer, and there is also a buffet restaurant. There is also an outdoor court, so you can play badminton. You can drink free coffee next to the counter in the morning. I like double-double coffee. The coffee was better than Tim Holton, maybe because the coffee beans were delicious. Is it because of my feelings? Why don't you relieve your fatigue at a resort instead of a tent and let your children play to their heart's content?

My family came for a day pass. The beach and pool were great. It's a great place to hang out for a day. I would recommend a visit. Great for families The food though reasonably priced had terrible service. We had to wait literally 15 minutes to get ketchup for our fries and another 10 minutes to get mayo. Why aren't condiments just on the table?? I ordered onion rings and they never came. When I told the server about it he said he'd take care of it but another 15 minutes goes by and I ask and it seemed like he forgot again. I finally got it after everyone had finished their food. He said it was free which was nice but they were really burned so I didn't bother. Also a nursing room would be nice as it is a family place.

The treehouse/views were absolutely stunning. Extremely comfortable bed and excellent shower. Some plates/ knives, forks , dish soap would be a useful addition to the kitchenette though as we didn't want to eat in the restaurant. We tried to use bikes but the staff were unable to find more than one which didn't need repair. Bikes were also old style with only back pedal brakes!! The resort feels a bit tired in general but it is a beautiful spot.

This is a beautiful resort on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. The views are spectacular. We loved the cozy, rustic look. There is a spa, a kid's playroom, a games room, a large swimming pool, a fitness center, an outdoor playground, and more.

The location is amazing. The cabins give a roof over your head and a soft bed. The food is sub par. The dog park is so far below sub par it's funny. The staff seem to be on auto pilot. The garden was falling apart and flooded. The moisture in the cabins is awful. The bathrooms have NO ventilation. If not for the location and looks of the main lodge this is a 1 star hotel/motel with cabins.

First time visiting White Point. We stayed in an ocean front cottage, which was nice. First dinner at Elliots, which is in the main lodge. The food was amazing; I wish I could have rated it. Definitely had to post the pictures. Jen was a great server and was friendly and pleasant. Looking forward to the following days.

Without being too harsh, we felt it didn’t quite meet expectations based on what’s presented online. Our room was very basic, tired, and in need of refreshing. We were travelling with our dog, and we’ve stayed in many places where the “dog rooms” were every bit as nice as a regular room. This wasn’t the case at White Point. Also, the woman who checked us in was quite terse. I can see this facility being excellent for family vacations, weddings, etc. maybe just not for a couples getaway celebrating a birthday where the goal is to “wow” your partner.

The quality of service at White Point has gone way down hill went to check in at 3:30pm which was always the check in time in the past however now they tell us it's at 4pm. So we wait at the bar where there's a ton of wait staff just hanging out gossiping, not tending to customers waiting to be served and come 4pm our room still isn't ready, in total we waited an hour to check into our room, what is the point of staying one night if you can't even check until nearly super time??!

Don’t let the online adds fool you… beautiful location that’s the only thing that sells this place out. I got a basic cabin.. for $350 with taxes and I must say it was a bit of a dive… dirty towels were left on the deck when I arrived. Hair was still on the floor… it wasn’t very “clean” especially for the price you pay. The cabin structure outside is literally falling apart. They really need to do renovations to make this place more up to date… definitely over priced for what you get that’s all I gotta say…

It was wonderful to be able to watch the sunrise and listen to the crash of the waves on the beach every morning and be in such a relaxing environment. I really enjoyed the buffets they had in the dining room during my stay and the server I had both evenings was lovely. I stayed in a lakefront room and am looking forward to visiting again.

Stayed for a weekend all inclusive experience. Initial entry and guest services staff were friendly and nice. The cabin was clean and quaint. The activities advertised include nature trail, which is essentially a dirt road to nowhere. The spa advertised, you have to book before you arrive or there is no availability. The grounds seem to be a bit run down. The beach is amazing, which is the best part of the property. The other activities and amenities are equal to that of any standard hotel. I have to mention the entertainment in the lounge was very good, great voice. The food which was part of the all inclusive was the most disappointing. We had a dinner the first night, fettuccine alfredo and pan fried haddock both were very mediocre. We had dirty glasses and waited in the lounge for 20 minutes before even getting a menu. The dining area you have to make reservations before you get to the resort. Breakfast was a buffet, ordering was not an option as we found out upon arrival. The food tastes as though it was heated up in a microwave. No fresh eggs only powder, half cooked bacon and general disarray of food. Cutlery had to be tracked down not provided at the table. Worst buffet experience ever. Lunch was much of the same with a longer wait to even see a menu. We decided to seek food elsewhere for the remainder of our stay. Overall we were extremely disappointed with this experience and I do not recommend this resort.

This was our first time at White Point and we will be back! We loved our stay! Room was lovely, clean and roomy. The service was amazing at the restaurant! However, the buffet was a bit of a hit or miss. Carving station was amazing and there was one delicious salad (Truffle Caesar!!) the rest was a bit sub par. I really love kale, beets and pecans but the salad that day was definitely a miss.

Only way I could have enjoyed this place more is if I was there with a group of friends. The restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast (best if you book a time versus just showing up). The live entertainment at night was great. Walking the beautiful beach was amazing. Lots of things to do on site. Staff were wonderful all around. I will definately go back but will be bringing friends. Five star all around.

Lovely resort and the beach was fantastic. Our room in the main lodge was clean and actually accessible, not that we needed that function. But I will mention that many of the drape hooks were detached to the point that we had to use a hanger with clips on it to hold the drapes closed at night. Would have fixed it myself except I would’ve required a ladder. Our experience with Elliot’s Dining Room for dinner was another matter. Three staff girls gabbing up a storm at the entrance basically ignored us standing there waiting for service for almost 10 minutes. There was no one else around besides us. I have a lot of patience but it was outright rude. And then only to be told we needed a reservation. We did see a number on the sign for reservations but nowhere did we read that one was absolutely required. The one girl who seemingly was the one actually working the desk directed us to the Founder’s Lounge, almost as an afterthought when we were leaving to find somewhere else to eat. Our server there (Brendon or Brenton - might be misspelled) was excellent and made up for the rude dining room experience. We did ensure that we made a reservation for breakfast the next morning. I would strongly suggest that guests be made aware at check-in of the requirement to make reservations for meals. And perhaps the cleaning staff should also check the rooms for drapery hook malfunctions. Despite these few things, we had a delightful stay!

I like this place a lot. I’ve been here a few times and have always had a fine experience dining and overlooking the lovely white point beach. Tonight I had the risotto and it was delicious. Very flavourful and filling. Often I have the veggie burger, or we’ve tried the buffet before also, and as a vegetarian I wasn’t dissatisfied with the choices at all- finding more veggies on the buffet table than I expected! Service is good here also! There aren’t enough restaurants in this area and my partner and I would say white point is the best ;) Edit: I would say, the only thing missing from my dinner tonight was a good piece of garlic toast. Risotto should have bread, no?

This was a wonderful stay for Easter weekend. The drawback is that their main lodge simply does not have enough seating for all that goes on there. We would love to participate by either sitting and listening to the music venues are hanging by the fire but it is always jam packed. The only other downside I have with this location is the fact that they require you to pay half of the full fee of your stay prior to visiting. In this day and age when things can change on a dime due to Covid I feel like the standard hold credit card and only charge if the client doesn’t show would be more appropriate than having to deal with the return of the money that was taken in the first place.

We stayed in a river view room and all I can say is wowzers! Nice deck with good quality chairs. Spacious room with the most comfortable beds and good quality linens. We had a meal package and the food was exceptional. Lots of gluten free options available. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Even when it rained it was cozy and nice. Every time we come here it's a different and new experience. From reading other reviews I would like to add that people need to look at the beauty around them and understand everyone is working very hard so they can come here and relax. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing vacation! Proud to be a whitepointer! Draft

My daughter and I stayed at White point this week for a girls getaway. Overall, we found the resort very dated, unclean and the food lacking . Negatives- our lakeside room had a beautiful view, but it was extremely dirty, especially the bathroom with lots of hair and other unmentionables. The service we experienced at the Dining room was extremely poor except for one lovely server called Mihella. She was a breath of fresh air. The food was budget in taste and over priced. The hot tub was broken with mold all over it. Positives-location! The beach was mystical, even when it was foggy! I would recommend this resort for families since it appeared to have lots of fun activities. I would also recommend staying in a cottage with a kitchen to limit your eating at the restaurants.

Great location with lots to do. Staff was professional and friendly... Especially the shuttle drivers. Our granddaughter saw a few bunnies and a deer during our visit which thrilled her. Food and time-line for same was not good. Breakfast buffet had warm, but not cooked sausages and the bacon wasn't much better. Lunch - I had salad and chowder. Salad had very over cooked chicken balls... Couldn't even cut them. Chowder had a film over the entire thing. It took about 45 min for our meal to arrive. Dinner - my husband ordered from menu and I had buffet. My meal was long gone, but we had to wait about an hour for my husband's meal to arrive. Dinner took so long that we missed campfire that our granddaughter was excited to see. We reserved for half hour earlier dinner next night, but took even longer to be served so again we missed campfire. Overall - the great location and amazing staff means we will continue to vacation here as we did with our children. However, the kitchen service and food needs a major overhaul.

Our family of 5 stayed in a 3 bedroom ocean front cabin on our recent visit. Even though we had more east coast touring to do, we didn’t want to leave this beautiful resort! Our kids enjoyed the beach and the wavy surf, the kayaking on the lake, the games room and especially the bunnies. The main lodge was stylish and spacious and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. If we ever have the chance to return to Nova Scotia, we would definitely stay here again.

What a cool experience! We stayed in the geodesic dome and it was great with our own private deck, hot tub and BBQ. The main lodge is also very nice with a games room in the lower level and the amazing dining room on the main level with views of the ocean. There is also live music there every week. One of my favorite memories is walking around the property with the bunny food they gave us at the front desk and having all these wild bunnies come and eat right out of my hands. I would definitely recommend White Point Beach Resort to anyone!

This restaurant was really delicious. They have a good variety of food and beverages. We all enjoyed something different. We had a little one with us, and were able to accommodate her well. The server was great, we had to send back one item, but when it came back, it was well cooked and delicious. We would definitely be back!
