Not only is it a very good spot to overlook the ocean, but it is a nice little place for a beautiful sunset view as well. It’s usually very quiet, which could let you relax with amazing ocean views. It’s takes only 15 minutes from Downtown, Halifax.

A lovely place to spend the day at or do some moon watching at night. Added to this are the big boulders people can walk on and explore. What a beautiful sight when the waves hit the rocks. Evening it’s getting colder lightly in summer, and mosquitoes too

The place is absolutely beautiful. It has benches where you can sit and relax. The beach has stones all around. Might be slippery in snows. If you are taking bus to reach then you need to walk about 1km to reach here but it’s worth waking.

Amazing views of the Atlantic within a short drive from Halifax. Doesn't have beach, though can sit on the rocks to listen to the waves. Has a small roadside car park. Can also take a short trail along the woods by the side. Perfect to walk the dogs.

Spectacular ocean vista's. Low to medium difficulty. Wear grippy shoes as it does require some walking on rocks. Long pants are probably a good idea to avoid the ticks.

Super little spot to relax and listen to the waves. Plenty of benches as well as rocks to sit on. Really nice ice cream stop just a short drive away...pick one up and head to the park. There is a smallish parking area right off the road. No rest rooms.

A fantastic place to see the view of Atlantic blue water. The sound of waves makes you feel calm. You can walk through amazing big rocks of the coast. Hike and discover lots of things. In summer you may see whale or other lives of the Ocean.

Lovely place to sit and relax and listen to the waves crashing on the rocks, especially at night.

Really nice oceanside hike only minutes from the city. Hike is short along narrow trails and over exposed granite. Very scenic. Great spot to watch the waves when there are storms nearby.

Herring Cove is great in any weather! These pictures are from the coldest day in NS in 2023.

Went to see the sunrise. Stunning place with a beautiful view, right from the parking lot! Not too far from the city, either.

Beautiful place for a nice little hike or to just sit and listen to the ocean! A nice place to sit and relax. I have seen some people fishing and a few swimming, I personally would not swim here.

Such an awesome walk along the boulders and ocean. The trails, beside the rocks, are beaten paths easily accessories small children (6+) and pets. Beautiful place to spend a couple hours resting and relaxing.

It was a good place. Being heavily dependent on public transit.. This was the only bus accessible park near the shoreline. Loved it.

It isn't easy to access the shore. Lots of rocks and can be slippery. Not accessible to older folks. The parking fits about 10 cars at best. Unkept and untouched. Great views of the water. Pretty waterfront homes nearby.
